  1. Probably means the engine is for FWD based platforms like the Edge with transverse mounted engines, whereas the Bronco which is 4WD, has RWD in the engine label as it is RWD based with longitudinal mounted engines.
  2. You can find good offers on ebay. Like this for the wheel/tire only or This for the wheel/tire with Jack and mounting kit.
  3. The stock spare tire size for my 2016 Edge Sport is T155/70R18. So the wheel is a 18". You would find plenty on Ebay, steal or aluminum. I would expect it to be the same for 2015+ Edge models.
  4. They are exactly the same as the stock ones.
  5. Hi Haz, May I ask, does the 2016 Edge with Adaptive Steering have a different Front Toe alignment procedure? Does it require a scan tool to "perform the steering toe adjustment"? I have the 2015 procedure which doesn't have adaptive steering option. ForScan does not show me such a setting, but if it is required I'll ask them if they can add it. Front Toe Adjustment.pdf
  6. As per the TSB, in addition to the brake parts cleaner, also "engine shampoo & degreaser", "Silicone Gasket Remover" and "Metal Surface Prep Wipes" are used in during the replacement of the oil pan. MC-10164418-0001.pdf
  7. It is promising to see an aftermarket solution, however, I would be concerned with the fact that it does not come with a gasket. Meaning you still have to use the RTV gasket and hope it cures/sticks correctly, which is the problem. Only now we don't know if it would stick better or worse with an aluminum pan. Ford's solution on later 2018+ F-150 (TSB) was an updated plastic oil pan that has a press-in-place gasket. If this was a similar solution I would have been more optimistic.
  8. The shock sensor is NOT part of the factory alarm system or remote start. The factory Alarm system only monitors Doors/Liftgate/Hood opening. If a VSS (with the shock sensor) is installed correctly, the vehicle will automatically detect it. The VSS itself can have a small jumper cable installed to disable its security features , the jumper is NOT installed by default..
  9. Hit a curb with the rear right tire while turning and damaged the tire. Immediately got a low tire pressure warning. Installed the donut spare and used the vehicle for approximately half a day till I got a replacement tire. What was interesting is that although I did not get an AWD off warning in the instrument cluster, the Edge was actually running FWD only. As it should as per the owners manual. I confirmed that with the AWD Guage and how easily traction control would come on. And the Torque Steer. Can't imagine how 2015 FWD Sports are driving daily like that.
  10. I found the installation manual. The shock sensor adjustment is on the VSS module itself. It also shows where it should be mounted. VSS_-_Alarm_-_Ford_-_2016_thru_2017_Edge.pdf
  11. The perimeter+ is not installed factory, even though it is an approved Ford part. Do the actual install location might differ. If I recall correctly, the recommended location is strapped to a steel bar that can be accessed behind the left drawer/fuse cover. The one near the driver's left knee. Pull out the drawer and look inside towards the center of the vehicle.
  12. I believe the first question is what code or codes were present before you had it reset?
  13. Only if the vehicle still has a running warranty. Original bumper to bumper warranty, Powertrain Warranty or an Extended warranty. Otherwise no.
  14. There was a Special Service Message 44354. "2011-2013 Edge, Explorer, MKX, Taurus, MKT and FLEX - 3.5L/3.7L (Ti-VCT) - Oil in the Air Intake. Some 2011-2013 with 3.5l or 3.&L variable cam timing engine built on or before 3/31/2012 may exhibit engine oil in the air systems may be caused by an accumulation of oil in the left hand valve coverbaffle migrating through the fresh air intake carnkcase ventilation (PCV) system. Oil on the ir flter or oil at the electrocnic throttle body may also be observed. Valve cover BR#Z-6582-M has been released to resolve this concern. Residual oil in the intake air system damage and can be removed using a clean rag. Use available service labor times for left hand valve cover repairs. EFFECTIVE DATE: 13-JAN-2014". There might be a more clear documentation out there, but this is what i found quickly.
  15. Check this thread where a member with a 2016 Edge replaced his factory HID light with LED.
  16. Reading the System Operation & Component Description, it is interesting to know that even the fuel level is considered in the Adaptive Suspension calculations.
  17. You will also need the module that'll control the adaptive dampers and ride hight sensors for each corner. Shocks alone would not be "adaptive" without the software controlling them.
  18. If you have the Lane Keep Assist/ Warning, then it should need calibration, ForScan can do it. The only other thing I can think of is to make sure the replacement windshield is with the sound insulation like the original. Some replacements are regular laminated without the extra sound insulation.
  19. My guess is it should disable it. However, I don't recall reading of the issue occurring on Gen 2 Edges (faulty door latches).
  20. When a door ajar the active noise cancelation (ANC) is disabled. So you can test it quickly by just opening a door slightly, for the door ajar warning to come on, and if the noise is from ANC it should disappear/change immediately.
  21. Just thoughts here, how are the tires wearing? Alignment checked? Try interchanging the rear wheels/tires and see if it makes an affect.
  22. Ford's powertrain warranty is 5 years or 60K miles, whichever occurs first.
  23. My 2016 Edge Sport that does Not have stop and go would usually disengage ACC at nearly zero speed before letting go of the brakes. I'll try to make a video of it next time.
  24. I thought in 2019+ models Ford added Stop & Go and that the ACC worked till 0.
  25. I am not sure if anyone tried it on an Edge, but I'd guess the fog lights acting as "cornering lights" should work. You can try the changes as per the 2015-2020 F-150 sheet. For the Fuel range on the right screen, I fairly confident it is not easily done. If it is possible, it will at least involve a firmware upgrade. You'll first need to check if the hardware is the same, then find the firware files for a new Edge ST and flash it on your 2020 ST.
