Believe I would consider using PB Blaster on it. Works when other products don't.

Blower motor replacement?
enigma-2 replied to Yankeesgirl05's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
May very well be the HVAC Control Module (common point to all the problems you reported).. 1) Start by verifying fuses #45, (5 amp), #37 & #15 (10 amp) in the smart junction box (fuse panel). 2) Verify fuse #63 (40 amp) in the battery fuse panel (in engine compartment). The HVAC Control Module is what sends a signal to the blower motor to run (and at what speed). The HVAC Control Module also controls the heated window. If all the fuses are good, it could verify well be a defective module. It's located behind the radio in the center instrument panel. -

Yes. Had a mechanic work one extra hour on a single rear brake once. He finally broke it free with a torch. I paid of course, wasn't his fault and he did what I had took it into him for, new brakes. Your mechanic isn't screwing you, he had to do a lot of extra work to accomplish what you took to car to him for. And who knows how much your aftermarket changes made the job more difficult? You will need to take responsibility for that. It's in alignment now isn't it? He did what he had to do to get it right.

Displaying Cell Phone Contacts
enigma-2 replied to Rocketboots's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I have only played with Syne 3 once with a loaner, seemed to work simular to my Sync (with a different interface of course). If I understand your question correctly, you are only displaying a limited number of contacts under any given letter. On mine, I need to use the down arrow to display additional contacts if there are more than will fit on a single screen. In your example contacts under "D", all of the D contacts display and stop at "DO". Have you hit the down arrow to display the rest? -
Try driving around New York City, you get waved at all the time.

Auto Locks and other IA questions
enigma-2 replied to cxxxv's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
The usual process is to put the key in & turn it to on.Press the Unlock button three times. Turn the ignition off. Press the Unlock button three more times. Turn the ignition back to on. The horn should beep once. This tells you that you're now in programming mode. Press the unlock button, then press Lock again. The horn will beep once to tell you that Auto Lock was deactivated. It will beep twice if youre reactivating the system. Turn the ignition back to off and listen for the horn to beep one time confirming that the programming was accepted. -
Great gas milage, it's rated at 25 highway, unusual to actually get EPA. Do you miss the room of the Explorer or do you find the Edge sufficient?

The 18's will give a smoother ride. I believe this is because the 18's have more sidewall, more tire less wleel. Little better mpg with the 18's as well, but not enough to base a decision on. Measurements between a 15" & 19" shows a 10% drop in mpg with the 19's. 19"s look better, 20's look even better, fills out the wheelwell. 19's will offer a better skidpad due to the extra width.

You instalked a 180° thermostat and the car is maintaining 192°? Shouldn't it be maintaining 180°?

This is interesting, a Porsche that's painted in a special way so that it changes color as you drive. Wild!
