Hello, This got me thinking. If you get Hands Free Lifgate, wouldn't the OEM Class II Tow Package interfere with it? I mean, when you kick below the rear bumper to open the liftgate, having the Tow Package sticking out there will make you hit it with your leg doesn't it? Sorry for the noob question. Thanks. I guess you US folks should really thank God or your superior being of choice for having the luck and privilege of living in the US. 2016 Ford Edge Sport - Costa Rica price = $71,500. Yep, seventy one thousand, five hundred dollars. And also consider that there is a yearly government "road tax" that would require to shell out an extra $2000 each year for driving this car.

Howdy, The Ford dealership down here in Costa Rica said they'll have a 2016 demo unit for display in about two or three weeks. Makes sense since initial order acceptance begins on the 14th. But I really doubt it's a 2016, I bet they'll bring a 2015.

Natem91, did they had to run wiring to the hood of the car for the harness? Or was the wiring already there from the factory? It looks pretty good. You could maybe try to cover up the wiring harness cables with electric tape.

Hello, I've just found this forum and this is my first post. I'm really looking forward to the 2015 Edge but I'm concerned about this one being a first year model. This one could be my first Ford ever. According to Ford they built it from the ground up based on the 2013 Fusion Platform, meaning there a lot of new parts/technology introduced on the 2015 Edge. As you know, this could potentially come with quality/performance problems not caught early on development or quality assurance. I did some research and found this website truedelta.com with real owner reviews. http://www.truedelta.com/Ford-Edge/reliability-728 Apparently the 2011 Ford Edge did came with problems straight from the factory (first year model). Then I checked the stats on the Fusion http://www.truedelta.com/Ford-Fusion/reliability-98 And this one is the worst. The 2013 model which is also a first year model has lots of issues. Now I'm thinking: It's no fun laying down $40K for a car that will go in and out of the dealership for repairs all the time and maybe not get fixed at all. There are also some 2011 Edge owners that complain a lot about problems with the power train, transmission, car stalling out of nowhere. What do you guys think? Is it worth it?

Down here the octane for Premium is 95+ and Regular ranges from a 91 octane min to a 95 octane max. Both are MMT Aditive free. That means that down here, Regular is the best fuel for an EB engine right? Over at http://www.ford.com/crossovers/edge/specifications/engine/ they mention 93 octane fuel but don't mention that 93 is the top limit one you should put in.

I still can't find a good reason why there is no Tow Package for the Sport. It has more HP and Torque than the 2.0 EB.

Does the part that latches on to the body is metal? I'm thinking it might damage the paint.

Any ideas on how to test for this problem when picking up the car at the dealership? Like maybe throwing water at it with a hose or something? They all just want you to sign off on the delivery and hope that you don't return with problems, therefore I'd suggest testing this at the moment you go pick up the car at the dealership.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the 2016 to come out. My dealership would get it probably early next year. As long as the 2016 don't have the transmission problems seen on youtube https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ford+edge+transmission+problem&page=&utm_source=opensearch I guess it's ok.

Alright, It's been a few months since the 2015 has been on the roads. So far these are some of the issues some folks complain about the newer edge: 1- A rattle comes from the back, but it hasn't been determined what causes it. There is a suspicion of the spare tire container being the one to blame. 2- Turbos blow up. On the Sport model, apparently giving it too much juice will blow some hoses on the engine. It has to be taken to the dealership for reattach the hoses and tighten the hose holders a bit more. 3- The rear door liftgate apparently is assembled in a way that the gaps between each side are different, length wise, one gap is shorter than the other. 4- Lane keep assist apparently doesn't recognize road merges or exits and will try to stir you back. 5- Bolts on the direction can corrode and break on places were roads are treated with salt during winter. It was said that there was a recall for this issue. Is there anything else I'm missing?

One thing that bothers me is that Sync 3 integrates with Siri on iPhone, but for Android you don't get Google Now, even though for iPhone, you need a stupid cable to tether your phone for Applink while Android works with wireless bluetooth

I just read on Autoblog that the 2016 Mustag will get Sync 3... but only for their higher trims. I guess the 2016 Edge will follow through on their trims. With that said, I hope the 2016 Edge Titanium will get Sync 3 as well.

hey rmmick, what kind of fuel do you put in it? (octanes?)

I'm hoping somebody does the same tests for a Titanium Ecoboost AWD and post them here. All reviews websites that have written articles of their driving experiences only test the Sport.
