  1. IIRC your emergency spare is 18" I may be mistaken and it could be 19" Your spare comes out 21" including the rubber. I don't have access to my sport at the moment or I would go check. Either way the spare from the sport is an acceptable alternative to the mobility/inflation spare kit. The OP has an ST with the performance brake package and he inquired about the spare tire. It was suggested that a regular spare will not clear the brakes. The only difference between our brakes and the ST performance brakes are the "special compound pads" The rotors and calipers are the same albeit the calipers are painted red. If the Op wants a regular spare instead of the emergency inflation kit then he can get a spare from a edge sport.
  2. If the lack of a conventional spare tire concerns you, go to a junk yard and get a 18" spare from any 15-18 edge sport. The the 345mm rotors are the same between the ST and the Sport.
  3. Welcome to the forum! What trim is your 15?
  4. HPTuner is the physical interface to your car that the tuners use the HPTuner software to tune/ calibrate your edge with. Another benefit of HPTuners is that you can use it with multiple vehicles. You would just need to buy the corresponding credits to go with it. Any tuner that is not Livernois can give you a proper introduction/ explanation. A lower thermostat will help your engine to run cooler. Running cooler will help to mitigate lag. The majority of people who run a tune will go with a lower thermostat at some point.
  5. It depends on who's tuning your vehicle. Livernois uses their proprietary device. Warning you will go through hoops trying to sell it to someone else if and when you out grow it. Also keep in mind that LMS will only offer you off the shelf tunes. Unless you go to them to have it dyno tuned. Unleashed used SCT and HPTuners. I would suggest Unleashed or ZFG or BCB in conjunction with HPTuners as a interface. All you need to do is buy a tune from a new tuner when you want to try a new flavor.
  6. Good $h!T Nick! Thanks for the heads up!
  7. Unfortunately the honeycomb grille from ebay/alibaba/aliexpress does not have a mount for the camera.
  8. The sway bar that is being discussed in this thread is for the 2015+ Edge. It will not be compatible with your model year. Steeda made a sway bar that is compatible with your model. Unfortunately they do not make it any more. Check FB marketplace/ Craigslist/ eBay occasionally they pop up every now and then. Good Luck.
  9. Welcome to the forum, sorry to see that your first post is about a problem. Off the top of my head I believe the tranny is standard from 2010-2014. Your generation edge was available with 3 engine options: 2.0I4 Ecoboost 3.7 V6 Duratect engine(Edge Sport) and of course your original 3.5 V6 Personally I would go with the standard engine or the 3.7. you should be good to go with some small changes in programing to account for oil pressure and or small differences between the 3.5 and 3.7. HTH Good Luck.
  10. Looking forward to seeing your results!
  11. Welcome to the forum! Enjoy your stay!
  12. This thread might just be up your alley..... Definitely a cost efficient alternative that offers added value, in terms of performance and aftermarket integration over the OEM SYNC systems. All credit goes to @redlancer for introducing the idea of an acceptable aftermarket head unit for our aging OEM units. I have a friend that has a 14 edge with the 4" screen that is on the fence for doing a SYNC3 swap. I'll send him the info as he's not on the forum. I know that there is a harness that is involved in converting a 4" to 8" screen. Least we forget that the bezel (FML I can't recall the actual name for it) needs to be replaced so that you can have hard buttons for your AC/ radio etc. If he wants to go in the direction of the Kenwood unit, we will take plenty of pics ,of the install process and include a part list.
  13. Its out of stock directly from Kenwood because they have a model that supersedes it. It's available from various resellers. DMX706S Peep the video. It makes SYNC3 look like a relic.
  14. I'm picking up on what you're putting down. There is definitely a disconnect when it comes to OEM manufactures implementing support for aftermarket amps. They feel that their product is the best for the application and if you want anything else you should upgrade to a better entertainment package. That Kenwood unit looks pretty slick. Admittedly my first thought was that it would look kinda goofy being a ~7" radio in a 8" opening. I just posted a video of it installed in a SHO .It looks slick and doesn't impede on the overall flow of the dash. Not sure if the guy in the video purchased a separate bezel or if it came with it. But it looks great. I purchased 5 different SYNC3 conversion kits for ~$500. If this was available at the time of purchase, I would have strongly considered it. Although there are a lot of things going on behind the scenes with SYNC3 in terms of integration/ programming etc. I would like to see if it has any impact on that aspect of it. I do not know if SYNC2/3 is integral to the vehicle as a whole. If not then the kenwood unit you suggested is definitely the superior choice. Good luck with your project. Looking forward to seeing your results.
  15. We get it! We know you like chrome hahahahah
  16. There was a recall on the SYNC2 APIM/ screen a while ago. As far as I'm aware the recall ended. Personally I would do a SYNC3 swap. From an aesthetic POV, I haven't seen an aftermarket unit that seamlessly integrates with the design/ flow of the dash.
  17. You can buy all the parts individually if you like, I just always prefer/ find it easier to get everything from one person. His kits are like ~$500. I can't speak for him nor do, I want to give you misinformation. Rona has prices screwed up across the board. If you are going to DIY the project make sure you get the correct screen and get an APIM with navigation.
  18. If you plan on keeping your edge for an extended period of time. I would be re-missed if I didn't suggest going with the 8" SYNC3 conversion. @TXFRDOwner Might just have all the parts you need in stock. Drop him a line and inquire. I have purchased 5 conversion kits from and haven't any issues to date. Good Luck.
  19. Bird poop is good for 20HP minimum!
  20. I understand that shit happens, but it only adds insult to injury when people lie about it and try to cover things up, which ultimately makes the situation worse in the long run. Definitely looks like it is worth the wait!
