If you plan on keeping your edge for an extended period of time. I would be re-missed if I didn't suggest going with the 8" SYNC3 conversion. @TXFRDOwner Might just have all the parts you need in stock. Drop him a line and inquire. I have purchased 5 conversion kits from and haven't any issues to date. Good Luck.

Bird poop is good for 20HP minimum!

Yep you are correct. New vehicle requires a credit. The credit is $50 in addition to the tune.
-
That's odd! Unleashed uses the SCT tuner and they support the edge. Drop Torrie a line at Unleashed tuning. You should be able to buy a tune for short paper.
-
Welcome to the forum. You may want to look at the Sport edition because pries are coming down across all model lines. If you think the 3.5 is a hoot to drive...wait till you take a sport for a test drive!
-
If I'm not mistaken 5 Star Tuning uses HP tuning as a interface. They should not charge you for the HP Tuner interface again. they should charge you for the tune only which would significantly be cheaper than LMS.

Thanks for the catch! I meant to say that's 4K miles per year, and that the oil should be changed because it is driven infrequently or simply sitting etc, Apologies for the confusion, I hit send before getting my complete thought out.
-
That's about a good 4k miles or so. Even though the mileage is extremely low for a 5 year period, Oil has been tested and proven to loose its properties after a 2 year period or so. I can see how that may not be cost prohibitive. I'm sure there is a place in EU that offers similar service.
-
You should submit a sample to Blackstone Laboratories. their report can yield insight into the degradation/ condition of the engine due to not changing the oil.

Special K is the co-owner/ co-pilot of the Worlds Fastest Edge!

Completely understandable, some mods are easier to remove than others. Like you said the issue is is not impairing the drivability of your edge.
-
I can dig it. Hopefully they sort you out. Sooner.....than later

I don't know if you purchased your edge new or not, but you may be eligible for a buy back from ford due to them having your vehicle for an extended amount of time. Not sure if the lemon law applies to used vehicles. Look into the lemon law in your state.
-
When life gives you lemons...its time to make lemonade. If they can't resolve the issue then you may want to seek alternative action. Just a thought.

Hahah I can dig it!

Motorcraft Wiper Blades

Debating whether, or not OEM is the best is akin to going down the proverbial rabbit hole. If OEM is best for you, then its the best for you. -
Not sure what tuner you are going with but the majority of tuners who use SCT also can use HPTuner. Not saying one is better than the other, as I personally do not have any experience with SCT. Just tossing out an alternative.

Since the part numbers are identical, I'd call and inquire about their return policy. I'd also inquire about a possible discount if you're going to be the guinea pig in terms of fitment and performance.
-
In your original query you mentioned the SYNC3 swap. Hence my reply. But if you already have completed the swap and and completed your programing etc. Then you can upgrade to SYNC3.4 with nothing needed to be changed via FORScan. Apologies for the misinformation. Clearly I need an extra cup or two and start firing on all cylinders.
