  1. For anyone else doing research and or following this thread. Do not use your MX+ to do firmware updates! DO NOT USE ANY WIRELESS OBD device to update firmware. All it takes is one errant packet and you can possibly brick whatever you're updating.
  2. My brother has that one. Completely forgot about it! Its an excellent choice. Its made by the OBD team! One key advantage over the MX+: Since its hardwired you can do firmware updates via FORScan. You would need access to a beta version of FORScan to utilize that feature.
  3. Not only is ODDLink MX+ one of the best devices for FORScan but its an essential part of any automobiles owners tool kit! Turn your iPhone, Android device, or Windows PC into a professional-grade diagnostic scan tool Recommended adapter for FORScan, Torque, BimmerCode, Dashcommand, AlfaOBD, Carista and many more Enhanced OEM support for Ford, GM, Mazda, Nissan/Infinity, Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Honda, Hyundai, Kia Clear Check Engine Light and get more live parameters (ABS, SRS, TPMS, etc) than any other scanner Over-voltage and battery drain protection, firmware updates https://www.obdlink.com/products/obdlink-mxp/
  4. How old is your battery? When was the last time it was replaced? I would suggest getting the battery and charging system tested. It sounds almost as if your battery is on its way out. I would disconnect the negative battery terminal and leave it disconnected for about 30 minutes. Do as Omar suggested. Connect the battery and clear any DTC and then check again. I've seen low/ bad batteries cause all kinds of mayhem on modern cars...our rides in particular are pretty prone to throw all kinda errors/faults check engine lights with a dying battery/ loose ground strap. HTH
  5. I found the following two videos to be very informative:
  6. Welcome to the forum! Excellent color! If I were to ever get a blue edge, I would prefer blue denim over the performance blue on the STs! Glad to hear that Ford is bringing the color back albeit with a different name.
  7. In addition to what Omar and WWWPerf mentioned above. Assuming that you are not the original owner. If you think/ believe that your edge was originally equipped with HID, I would suggest going to a dealership and having them run the VIN and ask them to print you a build sheet. That would be the final word on whether or not you have factory HIDs. Your build sheet will be beneficial because it will tell you what options and features your particular model came equipped from the factory. Or you can go to the parts department (or call) and ask for a replacement HID bulb. Hopefully the counter clerk is serious about their job, and will ask for your VIN to double check...... Most owners want to upgrade from halogen to Hid. I can't imagine the original owner wanting to downgrade factory HID to halogens.
  8. Livernois, BCB, Unleashed, ZFG will tune your ST
  9. You may be better served by posting your question in the HPTuner Forum. Even if you do not get a answer in a edge specific topic, you will definitely get a lot of answers if you ask about tuning 2.7 eco-boost engines. HTH
  10. Unfortunately not. If you're located in the USA the you have a MFT2 system. If you're interested in SYNC 3 then you would need to replace the screen and APIM, GPS antennae, USB hub and you need a harness/ interface for the new USB hub since it will not be compatible with your preexisting hardware.
  11. Welcome to the forum. Yes the ST wheels will fit your SEL.
  12. One would think that living in a major city there would be more offerings....I live in Philly and have friends, and family up and down the coast. Even if it was just a issue of securing the purchase and sorting shipping out later etc. Thanks for the suggestion. Volvo and Jaguar wheels fit as well!
  13. I always check offer up, let-go, Craigslist etc for good deals like yours. In my area the trend seems to be to have items priced $5-$50 off of retail with no tax. Sometimes you can luck up and get some goodies if you're in the market for that particular item. Oftentimes its more miss than hit. I'm sure you can agree there are tons of stuff that are priced ridiculously low but it doesn't matter if your simply not interested in it! I've yet to see any desirable setups available in my area. If you ever decide to sell, I'll double your investment.
  14. I get where you're coming from with some items being hoarded and some items are ridiculously expensive. But I don't think that applies here.... This particular setup has always been in the $2k-$4K price range depending on the configuration.
  15. You made a excellent choice. I haven't heard any negative things about Torrie! If and when you out grow your Unleashed tune, you can shop tuners that use SCT!
  16. Livernois uses the mycalibrator exclusively. Unleashed Tuning uses SCT or HPTuners. ZFG uses HPTuners BCB uses HPTuners or SCT Tuning by James uses SCT Not all tunes are created equal etc. Some prefer using a device that they can use between tuners. Some have their preferred tuner and prefer brand loyalty etc. It will ultimately boil down what mods you have/ want. If your not planning on doing any mods apart from the run of the mill mods then Livernois will rock your world. I believe that the second and third fastest edge used LMS when they ran. (basically traction mods, a thermostat) On some forums some say Unleashed feels faster (butt dyno) than LMS. YMMV On the flip side of the equation, the worlds fastest edge which incidentally is also the worlds most modded edge uses ZFG. Unleashed BCB and ZFG and Tuning by James will tune your car specifically, meaning that your tune is made exclusively for your car and the mods you have. If you're going to go with with larger turbos, catless down pipes, meth, or anything that is not off the shelf, then you're going to want to go with a tuner that will run logs and makes incremental adjustments accordingly. LMS doesn't seem to play nice with mods that they can't tune by dyno. One member lost their motor and other members on other forums etc. Not saying that LMS is bad, quite the contrary. They're good at what they do. If you want to blaze your own path and define your vision of the sport in our edge sports then you should select a tuner that will grow with you and tune accordingly. HTH
  17. I wonder if those parts can be retrofitted to NA edges.....
  18. One of my favorite wheel sets ever!
  19. Omar is located in the Middle East if I'm not mistaken.
  20. Might have a used meth kit that was used on a edge sport available... drop me a line if you're interested.

I like the subtle red accents! Great job!
  23. Swapping steering wheels is relatively painless. Just need the steering wheel and the harness and a quick change via FORscan and you will be good to go.
