He installed the USB hub in the factory location. They changed the placement for the hub in the 1'5-'18MY edge. The location you are referring to within the arm rest/ center console is the factory location for the '11-'14MY edge.

I would suggest going to the dealership and show them the Youtube I posted above. It may have been removed my mistake its a simple fix that they can do with IDS.

If I'm not mistaken you have an ST. The ST should have SYNC 3.3 at a minimum and will be fully eligible for 3.4 update through Ford's SYNC update site. This 3.4 update is for any SYNC 3.2 system 16-18MY edge.

When you select navigation on the right IDC, do you see a compass? If so the next time you use waze or google maps it will display turn by turn instructions. Next time I'm out I'll snap a pic.

Apologies if this is incorrect and or does not apply to you. I edited my post to reflect my original intention. I meant that you will need a European vin from an edge that has the remote start feature to generate the as-built for your car. Since your edge does not have remote start you would not have that feature enabled.

I know that it is impossible for an employee to know every single feature of every single car on the lot but that's ridiculous. The easiest thing for them to do is to check a different Titanium or Sport! Not sure how/ what they checked and did not find the correct info. The only reason why I would deal with that dealership is unless I purchased the vehicle there and I would try to put the onus on them as you are doing. If they can't sort out such an obvious mistake I'd suggest going to a different dealership. Perhaps you can use that as grounds for them to unwind the deal and refund you. That way you can find a sport with all the features you want least of all a working taillight! FYI your extended warranty can cover the taillight, you would have to add that feature to your warranty.

Hoping for one for my birthday next month! If not I might just pull the trigger on it! Wireless charging is nice but not a neccesity. I work in the field and I'm rarely at my desk. But due to covid-19 I do have to physically go in a 2x a week. It would definitely be a bonus!

Hahah I can dig it. Not sure of which version of Android Auto you have on your phone. Or you may have it already. Go to settings in android auto and see if you have the toggle to use the new interface. There is an update that makes your preferred nav choice the default when you plug your phone in. The first thing you will see is google maps when you plug the phone in. Talking to android auto and asking for directions is definitely smoother than using the SYNC system. Or like you said use your KISS system!

That's odd. Might be an issue with the phone itself. I see your process. If it isn't broke don't fix it!

You are correct, the navigation is displayed on the right side of the IPC, you have to use the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel to interact with the submenu. Once you have your navigation set to wherever you are going it will display turn by turn directions. I know that it will display them when you use google maps. Its been so long that I used factory navigation I honestly don't recall if it will display them when using the oem nav.

Do you use android auto? If not you should try it. You really do not need to have your phone mounted these days unless its an absolute necessity. Android Auto will give you access to just about everything you need on your phone sans email.

Certainly agree with you that the instrument panel should be modernized. Ford has been using the same cluster since 2011! If you use google maps for navigation you can see turn by turn pictures in the instrument panel. You can also display the digital speedometer on the left side of the speedometer. But to be fair and compare apples to apples. You're comparing your 3500 IPC to your edge. While it would be nice to display all the bells and whistles on the edge IPC, Ford marketed and equipped the edge for their target audience Ford makes a comparable IPC for their trucks with the 8" screen.

To garner more traffic/ interest, you should ask a mod to move your post to the classified section or cross post it. You should also include the price. GLWS

I did a few co workers, my brothers '15 sport, my lady's '13SEL with SYNC3 swap and last but not least my '17 sport. You can install SYNC 3.4 on any SYNC 3 equipped edge. 16-18MY. The 19+ comes equipped with SYNC 3.3 which makes upgrading to 3.4 relatively easier.

It certainly should. You would need to use the vin for a European edge with remote start to generate the proper as-built data. And you woul need to use a European RTM.

have you measured the stainless steel brake lines that you have found for the 2015? I ask because most if not all parts are compatible between 2015-1018.
