Someone needs to make a new video now that the TSBs are out that fixes the shifting issues! That could be a very fun video to watch with the right driver!
  2. Even though the USB hub in our cars are not certified as USB 3.0 If you use a 24-32GB 3.0 stick the install will take you about 15-20 minutes. Seems like the file is extracted on the USB and then installed into SYNC. Not 100% sure on that but I do know that I used a 3.0 stick, and the install time was less than half of the reported install time! The only way you do not benefit from upgrading is if you have a windows phone, or a blackberry LOL. Either way Android Auto and Carplay are light years above SYNC.

Thanks for the clarification. You're not alone! I read it the same way.
  4. Congrats and welcome to the forum!
  5. Apologies, my inbox was full. I shipped my cluster to Dan. His programming quote includes return shipping. While it does require ABD edits in FORScan the cluster itself needs to be programmed with the Edge firmware.
  6. If you have an android phone all you need to do is follow Gadgetjq instructions and update your version of SYNC. You do not need a new USB hub for android auto. Then google maps and waze will be interactive on your SYNC screen.
  7. There is a SYNC3 conversion kit in the classifieds but I think shipping may costly with you being up in Canada!
  8. Glad to hear that you received your cluster! Things are getting interesting! You're definitely making progress! Drop @TXFRDOwner a line. He makes custom harnesses.
  9. Congrats and welcome to the forum. Is it safe to assume that the Platinum replaces the Titanium? Post some pics when you can.
  10. I'm shocked as well. Hum looks good, I don't see any mention of remote access. Does the Hum provide remote access to your edge? It could have done well. Unfortunately it was marketed poorly nor implemented properly. It will be interesting to see what pricing plans are be offered after the 5 year Sync Connect introductory offer expires.
  11. I thought about picking up something similar. But now that you mention the tube not going to the bottom of the sump, I'll have to explore other options. I was interested in a electric one to help with PTU and RDU fluid changes.
  12. Ford Discontinues SmartLink Just in case the link does not work. See the attached pic. This is not to be confused with FordPass or Sync Connect. Ford is only discontinuing the SmartLink OBD modem program which allows you to have to have remote access to your vehicle. FordPass and Sync Connect will be available in most Fords from 2020+
  13. I guess that link died since its a year old. Here is a new link: 2015-2018 Edge Sport KN Filter
  14. I'm in the same boat with Ron, that option is not available on my 17' Sport. ?
  15. Thanks for the info PerfA, I'm going to take a look at it as soon as I take a lunch break!
  16. Welcome to the forum! All the answers to your questions are under the DIY maintenance section..... https://www.mactgarage.com/
  17. You have to double click unlock and hold it on the second click to engage remote open.
  18. Thanks for the heads up! Can you send me a link to the seller? Are you going to program it, or have some one do it for you? I might have to do this conversion if I can get a IPC cheap enough. Drop @TXFRDOwner a line he can get you a lense/ mask that will fit.
  19. No you read it correctly. Just like you I do not see an easy way to change the IOLM service alert.
  20. You're the first person to do a SYNC 3 conversion in a edge. Now you will be the first person to do a Nautilus cluster swap! I Look forward to your project! I was interested in the Nautilus cluster as well. When I was shopping for clusters the Nautilus cluster was only available from the dealership. I can imagine that the Nautilus have started popping up in salvage yards.
  21. The batteries in the IKT feel like they will last forever right up until they don't hahaha. Go to autozone/ advanced auto etc and they should be able to test your IKT batteries. At the very least they will sell you some new ones and install them free of charge!
  22. Thanks for the clarification on how the RDU system works.
  23. Ideally best practice would be to remove the RDU cover and thoroughly clean it, but I have never thought about doing that to my lady's edge. Even though these SUVs are labelled as AWD they are not full time AWD. Or rather AWD is not engaged all the time. Check your AWD indicator. IMO the RDU does not get nearly as much use compared to the PTU. But everyone's driving habits and environment are different. You may very well may engage the rear wheels more than avg etc. The next time shes up in the air I'll try to snap a pic or two for you. Unfortunately she's not due for service till some time after the new year.
