Thanks for the clarification. I was going off of what 2FASTRU stated about the Lincoln options. You are correct. The third row of my expedition had power up seat backs.

I never knew that the Lincolns had power up seat backs. I found it odd that it was omitted from the edge. I had a 03 expedition that had power up seat backs.

Sync 3.0 Very Sluggish and Nav Freezes

It is best practice to perform a master reset, and let it sit for 5 min with the power off after any update. -
Navigation SD card error (2015 EDGE)
onyxbfly replied to cxxxv's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Are the contacts on the card dirty? Try gently cleaning them with a pencil eraser. I would also check for any DTCs/ codes to see if the problem isn't an obvious one. -
I know its not truly a bother due to the infrequent use of it, just wanted to share that they do make relatively inexpensive OBD extension cables. OBD Extension Cable

2011 Edge Sync 2 to 3 upgrade. Comments?
onyxbfly replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I didn't have any doubts that he would sort you out! Glad to hear that you are enjoying SYNC3! It truly is a night and day experience between SYNC3 and MFT2! -
I forget the various build numbers but they all offer incremental improvements that enhance the functionality of the system. Some people may have issues and some do not. Some only update when an issue arises. If you have access to Apple Carplay and Android Auto I would update when an issue arises.

You got it. Happy to help when I can. Pick the one in the auction that applies to your edge. I usually receive it in a few days, always within the same week. But with the holidays coming up, you may want to get on it sooner than later. -

I agree, I certainly do not blame you there. That connection looks fine for a quick test, but a permanent install not so much. The USB/ Media hub connectors were $30 each. (I just double checked for you.) Reach out to him, or I can drop him a line, and see what he will do for you..... Which media/ USB connection do you have? -

I ordered the USB media connector from @TXFRDOwner I purchased 3 sync kits from him. One for my brother one for my lady and one for a coworker. I have another co worker who wants to do a SYNC3 conversion in his mustang which should be fun. He's also talking about doing the digital dash. If he pulls the trigger on the dash I'll take plenty of pics! -

Definitely don't blame ya! When I showed my lady the website her first reaction was GTFOH! She said if she wanted it enough she would just get a new car! Her commute is literally less than 1 mile round trip. Just wasn't a priority. But now that she has it, she loves it. Mind you I purchased it and installed it. If it was her dime and her time it wouldn't happen, and she would be in my ride....... My SYNC3 kits were 7 and change shipped. Can't speak for him, but I think yours might be in the $900 - $1k area due to the cost of the FCIM.

You're pretty handy. You can do the 4" to 8" SYNC3 conversion if you decide to go that route! Reach out to @TXFRDOwner and see what he can do for you for a kit. I purchased 3 SYNC 3 conversion kits from him and they work as if they were originally installed in the factory! Just for reference you can take a look at the link below and see whats involved. https://www.4dtech.com/15-18-ford-mustang-4-to-8-touchscreen-conversion-w-sync-3/

Is it a mistake to purchase OEM size tires (22)?
onyxbfly replied to Cedarburger's topic in Wheels & Tires
Nope not at all. Some people like to keep their vehicles stock and others like to mod them. 22" tires have come down in price tremendously since their inception. I would throw some Toyos Proxes III on her and keep it moving! Playing devils advocate. If you want to maximize the sport in your sport going down to 20s will reduce unsprung wheels weight and she will handle better. All in all she's yours! She's in beautiful shape! The decision to go with OEM 22 or aftermarket 20's is entirely yours. There is no right or wrong answer. IMHO you are doing right by her! -
Ford Edge 2nd Front Upper Strut Tower Bar Brace
onyxbfly replied to HockeyShot39's topic in Classifieds
The easiest way to voice your displeasure with a company is to vote with your wallet and not patronize them. We both know in the grand scheme of things Ford doesn't care if you or me or everyone on this forum were to get out of their edges due to whatever problem they may have. After all its the number one selling CUV in the country. Regardless if one buys it new, or they buy it used. But the key point is that they will not get any more of your money. I salute you. May your next vehicle provide you the comfort, safety, and reliability that you expected, and many of us receive from our edges. -
If its a want and not a need, you may want to wait for the true EV Mustang (true as in coupe not Mach E) to become available. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/12/02/ford-mustang-electric-ev-powertrain/
