  1. While on assignment in a few other countries, I have had the unpleasant experience driving many miles behind inconsiderate asssholes that leave these rear fog lights on regardless of the weather - so pleased that they're illegal in the US.
  2. You've first got to confirm whats ticking, a lifter, timing chain, ........this will need someone with experience on these engines to listen to it. A ticking lifter could be one bad one, but more often its the first sign of something more severe like low oil pressure, .......sludge from an engine that never reaches operating temperature or poor oil change intervals, incorrect oil grade, incorrect oil filter, fouled oil pump suction strainer, failing oil pump, worn bearings, ......
  3. Its been long enough for me to declare success - been no nasty odor in my garage since installing the new hoses.
  4. Optical would foul with road grime. I haven't delved into this, but assume that its a field effect type device, .......capacitive, inductive, ?
  5. Please consider adding location and model to your sig - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  6. Take a look at the below thread on a hitch install - it has good photos of the sensors.
  7. What they recommend doesn't come into play, its what's written in the warranty and service section of your owners manual. Best you get in contact with Ford Corp. and open a case, and make sure that you keep a written record.
  8. That spring will actually "launch" the drawers out when lifting the latch, which I don't see a real need for seeing as gravity is assisting. If it were mine, I'd save that spring in the glove box and only attempt to install it if one day I tear into that area.
  9. I forgot about the method omar302 posted. I can confirm that worked for me, but not the same FOB orientation shown in those images.
  10. Having just been through this, I can confirm that it would take an act of congress to get this from Ford Corp. The two options: find in in the pouch containing the owners manual, or on the electronic module near the drivers left leg.
  11. That is clearly impact wrench damage. I think the construction of these is a poor design, but if you keep the impact wrench away they will remain looking like new.
  12. My dealership has only rotated my tires twice, and I've done it since. The dealership uses impact wrenches and this damages the aluminum shell of the nuts - when I showed them the damage to the nuts they promptly gave me a full set of the same. Since I've been doing the rotation without impact wrench the nuts remain as new - when I got tires fitted, I made sure that they didn't us an impact. Yes I know that doesn't answer your question, but just a thought if you consider replacing only the bad ones.
  13. My replacement hoses were shipped on Monday and received them yesterday - they're installed but of course too early to confirm that its taken care of the smell.
  14. Replacement hoses and fittings are on their way to me - I'll report back after I install it this weekend.
  15. Not sure if its possible to change the run time with Forscan, but the owners manual describes how you can extend the run time using the remote.
  16. Unfortunately no response from the email sent to robertlane The only workaround we're left with is to add this info to our signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  17. Where do you live and what anti-ice products do they use on the roads? What model, year and mileage? - that would indicate whether you have any chance of Ford assisting, and even then this type of thing isn't usually cover by warranty. In areas that use aggressive products on the icy roads, you need to clean the road grime off frequently or it will start the type of corrosion you're seeing which is usually impossible to restore by hand. Please add your location and Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  18. Thanks for that update. I found it difficult to believe that the hoses could be the culprit as they still appear as new condition. I sent JLT an email last night and had a reply early this morning. also a phone call - they offered to send me a new set of hoses - amazing response from JLT. https://www.jlttruecoldair.com/2015-2019-edge-sport-lincoln-mkx/
  19. I'm doing an oil change this weekend and will search for loose or broken hoses, but recall the first time I smelt it was shortly after the catch can install.
  20. Have you taken it to the dealer yet, and if so what was the outcome? I have the same smell, which my wife remarked was the smell of gasoline, but having emptied the JLT catch-can many times, the smell in the garage is the same, so I'm convinced its not gas. Because its the same smell as the contents in the catch can, I've checked the cans O-ring and the vent hoses and all appears in order. Looks like the F150 guys have the same issue and possibly the hoses supplied with the catch-can. https://www.f150ecoboost.net/threads/catch-can-smell-anyone-solve.11201/page-2
  21. Welcome - please consider adding your location and vehicle Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/ What you describe sounds like a bad FOB battery, so I would suggest that you check the batteries in both FOB's with a multimeter
  22. Best you tell us what you've tried or tested and the results to save others making pointless suggestions.
  23. When I bought mine I tried it but after about a week I turned it off and haven't used it since. I've not once tried the parking assist.
  24. The dealership is closer to my work than home, so stopped by on my way home this evening and picked up my free Valet key. It worked perfectly. Now have my factory keyless entry code saved - the code on the card inside my owner's manual pouch is ***0* and the number displayed on the dashboard is ***9*, which of course is one and the same thing with the door keypad. For the method for displaying the code on the dashboard - I pulled the valet keys out of each FOB and placed them in the holder with the buttons facing up and the end where the valet key goes facing forward - tried other orientations and this was the only way that worked in my Sport.
