  1. I just ordered a set from hid kitpros and then installed them. Using a small flat head screw driver you can slide it up in the right hand side of each lamp housing and push the clip in and they pop right out. Took about 10 minutes. Just pop out old bulb and pop in the new one.
  2. Mine is great so far but I have only had it a little over a month. I agree with the license plate lights, I changed mine out last weekend. Funny my Focus ST had LED license plate lights and no other ones on the outside, but this has every light outside LED except them.
  3. Yeah the temp number in degrees is the temp the air is set to achieve no matter what mode the fan or vent is in. In auto fan mode but selected vents mine will blow at full blast until the set temp is almost achieved in the cabin. Then it will slow the fan and keep heating/cooling until the temp is reached and then regulate the fan speed and temp of the air to keep the cabin at the set temp, opening and closing the blend door as needed. If in auto vent mode but fan set at a set speed it will adjust the temp of the air flow and vents to reach the set temp. If set to manual everything then it just adjusts the blend doors to keep the temp at its setting. The only time this is not the case is in full defrost or full cool when it is set to HI and LO on the temps. That is the way any car with the auto climate controls has worked for me at least. It is supposed to of course keep the two sides at different temps when the are not the same but that is more with just adjusting the blend doors to get the temp right on the two sides.
  4. From my understanding the Auto function is two fold. Once side does the vents and the other does the fan setting. Both are used to keep the interior temp to the desired setting. Someone said above that when in Auto that only the floor vents blow but mine blows out the windshield and the floor and lightly out of the dash vents. Also out the rear console vents. I know in the summer my Focus ST would blow out the dash vents primarily when in Auto mode, for vents. I leave mine on just auto fan and I select the windshield and floor because the windshield defrosts better and stays defrosted in sub zero temps than in Auto mode which tends to allow the outer edges of the windshield to frost up. IN the summer I go full auto when it is to hot for just the windows and that seems to blow out the dash and lightly out the windshield and floor vents. Either way it takes about 15 to 20 minutes of solid driving to get the fan to slow down to a normal level when set to 72 and roughly anything below freezing.
  5. Mine stays at whatever Temp it was last set to when I start the car, even on a remote start.
  6. I leave my fan on Auto but the controls set to floor and windshield. In the winter, now, it blows on high until the car is warm enough My temps are set to 72. This can take quite a while to slow the fan down. If I put it in full Auto mode it seems to sound like it is blowing more because it chooses the vents for you that it needs to get the whole car to temp. So it pretty much blows out every vent in the vehicle and makes it louder, at least to me. I personally am not a fan of the dash vents blowing on my face and that is why I select floor and windshield. But in full auto it does sound louder than when just in auto fan with certain 'vents' selected. By taking a while to settle down I mean it takes 10-15 minutes to get the whole interior to the 72 mark I set it at.
  7. Installed LED license plate lamp lights today. Boggles my mind still that on the 2019 all exterior lights are LED except the license plate lights. Funny since those were the only LED light bulbs on the outside of my 2016 Focus ST. Anyway it looks much better now.
  8. What kind of Boost is it running now with the tune? I come from a tuned Focus ST so I am curious what this can safely do. I assume this engine is great when you get a solid boost that is not under so much control of the ECU to hit the torque targets Ford sets. If the boost gauge is anywhere near accurate boost is all up and down all the time as the ECU tries to keep in it range. I assume it would be nice and steady with a tune. Build and drop like it should if not under such tight control. That Focus used to just high a nice peak and then wind down as the turbo ran out of juice. I can only imagine what a tuned 2.7 would feel like. Looks good.
  9. I only use a parking brake when driving a manual. Even just coming from one I do not use the one on the Edge. Heck there are times I just hit the start/stop button without even turning the dial since I know it puts it in park. I also found that if you do that when parking on a slight decline that it will auto engage the parking brake for you since you are on a hill. But normally I just turn the dial and turn it off and get out. And if parking on a steep enough hill I do the turn the wheels to the curb deal you are supposed to do on a hill. And the parking brake deal was not on either of the drivers tests I took in two different states. Put it in park and turn the engine off and get out is all there was.
  10. I will have to try and see next time. I normally put mine in park and still have my foot on the brakes and then turn off and release the brakes before getting out. So I only get the normal roll feel when releasing the brakes and exiting the vehicle. I also either park on my flat driveway or slight roll down work parking lot. I will try to remember to put it in park and release the brakes then shut it off and see what happens.
  11. Maybe 350-365. Can't have 400 because the Explorer ST will have that.
  12. They are just using the ST moniker basically the same way Mercedes tosses the AMG on every model now. Pump power and throw the letters on the back. Only difference is they still make a true AMG model.
  13. I am actually quite happy with the Edge ST after coming from a Focus ST with a tune on it. It of course does not handle like the small hot hatch but it is pretty impressive for a 4600 pound vehicle. It is quick and handles well and I even like the B&O sound system compared to the Sony in the Focus. I do not like the engine sounds and liked the fact that I could disable the Symposer on the Focus and not hear that crap. That was simple to get rid of since it was not through the sound system. It would be nice if they would have just put a nice exhaust on it instead, no reason to fake it. And yeah I agree maybe bumping power more would have been great. But all in all it is great and only cost me 70 bucks more a month than my Focus ST lease did.
  14. You can also safely, while going slowly, swerves right to left at night and see them turn with the wheels. The do not move under a certain MPH so you can't just try it while stopped. At first I never noticed mine working until I made sure I could see them when trying that, then I always noticed them. Also the beam pattern should be more focused than the standard headlights. At least on the Focus ST they were that way. One of the first things I noticed driving the Edge was that the beams were wider, I only got the 400a package on mine.
  15. The bottom of my headlights do not have that LED looking strip that you have. Just the top DRL Strip. So I would assume that is it. And I also have projector lenses, they look like the projectors on my moms MKC and my dads Escape as well as similar to the ones on my Focus ST. There are definitely projectors on the Edge.
  16. Thanks. So far I am still getting around 16 but it is cold and I have been letting it warm up most mornings. I forgot to fill out the fuel app I downloaded last fill up so I will try and keep tack that way. Just broke 1000 miles. Most of my driving is highway then city but there are stops and go's accelerating to 60. Hope it gets up somewhere near 19 and I would be happier. Still love it though.
  17. See that's the thing. The VW GTI and the Focus ST and RS have had adaptive headlights for a few years now. Mine was a 2016 and had them. The confusion lies with how the Edge has implemented them and if they work. If they are the swivel kind then when the lights are in Auto mode and you are in the dark or in say a garage that is dark enough and start the car you would see the lights track left to right and center. This is a quick process that only takes a few seconds. I have not seen how these ones in the Audi work, but they seem to have multiple LED's in a row in their lights in a matrix. The Edge does not have this setup in its headlights. And of all the Edge ST's I have seen, with the exception of mine, they all had 401a package and just projectors like my 400a package does. But the window sticker said in the package details that they had adaptive headlights. So a true test is to get in a garage with the front facing the wall and fire it up and see what happens. Or just driver down any dark road and turn the wheels back and forth while moving and the lights would track with the wheels if you have them. It is very noticeable as you can see the lights move.
  18. I wonder why they did not just keep the same system they used in the ST and RS with the projectors moving. Seems like less tech involved to serve the same purpose. Either way as much as I liked the way they worked in the Focus they really were only great in front of the car and did not cover the sides of the road as good as normal HID lights. The Edge LED's cover more on the sides of the road. They were cool but that was about it.
  19. I am curious about your adaptive LED's myself. I had a Focus ST with Adaptive Bi-Xenons. The projector on those moved left to right when in Auto mode and of course dark out, with the steering. But some on here assume the LED ones will be more like say an Audi where there are other LED's that light up to light the left and right portion of the road. So I am wondering if yours steer left and right at night, swivel, since no ones seems to know. And of course Welcome!
  20. Is this your first GDI engine? All the GDI ecoboost engines I have heard sound like diesels at startup and idling. And without the engine cover it is probably louder, since the ones I have seen were padded somewhat. My 2.0 Focus ST was louder with the cover removed as well. My 2.7 I currently have has the cover but is still lous when fast idleing in the cold. I would say that is normal and just the injectors being normal.
  21. Oh I did not know the button had to be on. Lol! Guess I should actually read the manual. Whoops. Thanks for the update.
  22. I just saw my collision detection or whatever alert me once since I set the sensitivity to high, put it back on normal after that. The lane keeping though has not alerted once and I have let it roam into the other lane when empty to test it. Nothing at all, alert or bump the wheel. Does the cruise need to be on or something?
  23. Mine heated up and maintained heat just fine when it was -20 here on Tuesday. Remote started and let it run for 5 minutes or so before driving off and it was defrosting the frozen windshield while driving down my road, I live out in the boonies and park outside. But it was fully defrosted on about 2-3 minutes of the drive down the road. Heat was fine I set it to 72.
  24. Strange, mine does not get warm enough to almost burn anything. It is warm at best and cold in certain sections near the spokes. The stitching seems to be colder than the rest also.
  25. Are you talking about the Engine Start/Stop when driving function and stopped at a light or stop sign? If so that works based on several factors, is the engine warmed up enough, do you have pressure on the brake pedal, do you have the shifter in sport mode? The last one is if sport mode is on an SEL of course. The brake pedal switch seems to be some sort of two step deal where if you just rest your foot on it enough to just keep you stopped it does not turn off the motor, at least on my ST, if I stop and let the brake up lightly the engine restarts. Sport mode disables it and engine temp and interior temp also stop it from turning off. Too cold in the cabin and it will keep on to heat the cabin more. The defroster on mine only comes on when remote starting by itself. If i get in and just push the button it does not turn on no matter how cold it is.
