  1. Sadly the 10 speed is something they have worked on before so I assume it was much easier to figure out the programming and already know it's power capabilities. Maybe they will improve the ST tune but from what I have read here it takes some pushing by the community to get revisions done.
  2. I have the Livernois tune and it does not eliminate the skip. I can feel it and if I put it in manual sport mode and watch the gear changes I can see the 2 briefly then 3 and holds it until redline. That is the problem. It does not seem to cleanly skip the gear all together. So there is a brief split second loss of power to the ground. And the ST does not spin as much as a Sport with the LMS tune, from what i hear on here. Not even a chirp when it hits 3rd, just pulls.
  3. Mine pretty much skips 2nnd gear. It blips it for a split second and on to 3rd. I assume I would have better numbers if 2nd was not even there since the trans tries to hit it.

  5. I have seen them. I just want to get to a track for a flat surface and do a few runs. Currently where I play is kind of a wavy, up and down a bit, road. I do the runs both ways so the results kind of average out. But they are all less than a 1% elevation change start to finish. Most times where I do it is less than .5%. There is one where it is a slight up of .3-.4% but not long enough that flat for a 1/4 mile run. I would love to find some E85 fuel so I can do an E30 tune.
  6. When I returned to stock and used my Dragy I got between 5.6-5.8 0-60 on the same road I use to do it with my tune, where I have got as low as 5.1-5.3 consistently. Today with a .37% up angle road I got 5.25 with a (1ft) roll of 5.02, which should be close to what you get at the track. My 1/4's are in the mid 13's depending on the launch. I need to hit a track to get an actual time now that I know the sweet spot to launch. You need to get past the 1000 miles break in to get full boost on the stock tune. It is limited before that mileage. And stock it is limited in 1st and 2nd, it is tuned as well but not as much.
  7. I use it if I want to lock the keys in the car or if I happen to need something out of the locked car and I do not have the fob on me. I also use it for times the handles do not work for locking or unlocking the doors because of the weather and my fob is in my pocket and I am to lazy to get it out.
  8. I just did mine from the keypad on the door. Worked the first time. I did not even realize you can do it through the Sync 3 screen.
  9. Yeah the first thing I noticed with the standard lights is that the beam is wider than the adaptive ones that were on the FoST. They were cool but not needed on the Edge since I doubt to many people will be carving the curves at high speeds at night in the Edge compare to the Focus. It just does not handle quite the same so I am not exactly looking to do that type of driving day or night that I would do with the Focus. I am just happy I get heated mirrors, they were not heated on the Focus which I found odd since it was a $30k car in 2016. Since this is a Trans thread, I just noticed that with the LMS tune and a good launch that the trans either totally skips second gear, when floored and brake boosted, or sometimes hits it for a split second before going to 3rd gear. Which if skipped completely with the stock tune when floored this would have made it on par with the Sport 0-60 if not a split second quicker. But alas the stock tune does not skip it and even tuned I have seen that depending on the launch it either skips or blips through it, which would slow it down a hair. Anyways.
  10. That is exactly what I thought when getting mine, minus the headroom for the roof. I did not need all the other stuff, sure I would have liked factory 21's but not at the expense of needing an almost $6000 option pack to add the $1000 wheel package. I lease so I am not spending money renting my vehicle for 3 years for crap I do not need and will not use. The only thing I would have wanted off that package was the adaptive headlamps, I had them on my Focus ST, but that is really it.
  11. I have a 2019 Edge ST with the stock 20's with the stock high-performance all season tires, that is what they are classified as on tire rack. They were great in the snow and I live in Northern NY near the Canadian Border/1000 Islands Bridge region. We get over 140 inches of snow a year and sometimes 12 or more in an evening. The Edge did fine in the snow. I mean I grew up driving just FWD cars with all seasons on them in this weather so I may just know what I am doing as well but I thought they were fine. It was a nice upgrade, winter wise, compared to my Focus ST with dedicated snows on it.
  12. Well they don't apply the TSB until it is sold so that will not be on there. Also these take 1000 miles to properly get full boost so try not and be disappointed if the boost does not hit and hold 17psi, it will after 1000 miles or so get on it.
  13. Mine has almost 10,000 miles on it now and shifts fine for the most part. It is an automatic trans so it has its moments, like when cold or not downshifting when I think it should have. I get a harsh engagement once in a while but it is nothing horrible and they are working on a fix. Other than that I really have no issues that are big enough to make me regret my purchase. It is a new transmission and you can test those all you want but they are never perfect out the door and a lot of annoyances or issues do not crop up until thousands of people, with different driving styles, start to use them. But no I have no regrets other than I should have waited until the actual end of my last least instead of ending it early to get it, I would have paid less, LOL!!!!
  14. I would say Sport mode since it keeps you down one gear compared to normal mode, when it should be in 6th it is in 5th and so on. At least mine does.
  15. The tune not only adds power but it firms up the shifts and engages the torque converter sooner, or so it feels, so you feel more connected to the road almost like a manual or DSG would feel. You fluctuate the gas pedal and you feel it instead of just a lazy 'I will engage when I want to' feeling. It also changes the tables somewhat, but there still is the sometimes lack of a downshift when you as the driver where hoping for one. But it never bogs or lags like the stock shift algorithms. The throttle response in comfort mode is like sport mode on the stock tune. Everything just responds as a 'Sport' model should. Shifts feel slightly quicker as well, but that could also be because they are more firm. You get the set back in the seat feeling when at WOT, not like a big V-8 but like a car with turbos and them hitting boost. You also hit higher boost sooner than stock.
  16. Oh I do that to depending on where I am driving, sometimes I am lazy and just click the up shifts and then let it timeout and go back to normal mode. Lol
  17. I have never experienced any shudder at all in any gear to be honest. Even on hills or anywhere that I would prefer it would downshift it does not shudder at all, just trucks along and accelerates albeit slower than I would like. I mean in a manual I would downshift so of course I expect it here but it does not always chose to, sometimes I manually hit the paddle to downshift but that puts it in manual mode until you let off and it times back out to auto mode which is a pain, I mean I just manually upshift after to keep the revs down. It does not downshift when I feel it should at times but never keeps my revs low enough to bog down or shudder. If she does not mind shifts that are more 'Sporty' then the tune may be what she needs, puts more power down midrange so that should keep any bogging down from happening. But I get the frustration of it not being ready when released, I mean Ford even admits it and admits they are still working on it so you dealer should know there is a problem.
  18. The software update I had took care of that. I switched back to the stock and drove it for a few weeks and it was fine then as well shifting wise. The LMS makes the shifts more solid, so if they are harsh for you now then the LMS is not for you since it shifts like a sporty vehicle should shift. It accelerates when you hit the gas and not a slight delay like stock. It makes it what it should have been from the factory, shift and throttle response wise. When you hit the gas in normal mode it actually goes without delay, compared to stock you may think abruptly if you wanted smooth and gentle it is not for you. I came from a Focus ST which being standard shift you of course felt very engaged, with the LMS tune you get almost that kind of feeling when manipulating the gas pedal. I just put it back on today after my service appointment and boy did I miss it. I mean stock is great but tuned is so much more fun.

  21. I just went back to stock so it could go to the dealer. Let me tell you I can not wait to get my oil change down and get it back and put the tune back on. I have oil changes and tire rotations in my lease so I let them do it.
  22. When was her manufacturing date? I have one built at the end of last year and there was a TSB to correct some issues, new software. Mine has not done the bucking and I have had it 9000 miles. It did have some crappy shifting before the TSB was performed but nothing really bad since. When cold it does kind of stutter between 2nd and 3rd and skip 3rd to go right to 4th. But it is fine when warmed up. Even now that I went back to the stock tune it shifts fine. Sure it still needs some tweaking but it is far more enjoyable now. Not as much as when tuned but still good.
  23. So I went back to stock tune so I could bring it in for oil change and what not next week. Got 0-60's in Normal trans mode of 5.59-5.72, slight down and back up of less than a degree. Same road one down and one back. One in Sport trans mode got 5.88. So definite gains with the tune. The quarter in sport mode was 14.25@95.07 on .62% up grade.
  24. I had a 2016 Focus ST with Sync 3. To get Apple CarPlay to work with that all I had to do was wait for the software revision to come out and install the USB hub in the center console. Once that happened Apple CarPlay worked perfectly.
