  1. Yeah I am going with he most likely has AWD. My ST will spin the fronts a little but not enough for wheel hop to occur before it shifts the power to the rear as well as the fronts. Here is mine from when I first got the tune.
  2. The left hand screen in the Fuel Economy section tells you why it is off. The fuel econ display has three screens and the one tells you the status of the Auto Start/Stop feature.
  3. In the cold temps on the same road measured with my Draggy I get a 0-60 of between 5.65-5.8 stock. With the 93 tune on I get 5.07-5.18 consistently. So yeah it is an improvement. Even on the 87-89 octane tune I got a 0-60 today of 5.18s and 1/4 of 13.68@99.29mph. Good gains but the best part is the increased midrange around town power gains and better throttle response and in the ST's case better shifting in the trans, more like a 'Sport SUV' should shift like. All in all it woke the vehicle up and well worth the $600. And if they revise the tune further in the future I just need to ask for the update. And the 2.0 gets a much better boost in power than the 2.7 does, at least as far as the 2019 2.7 is concerned.
  4. Or at least put a note with the factory code in your wallet. You could also just disable the remote open in the left screen to disable the sensor for the wash.
  5. They send you the tuner and you use it to get the codes needed to the tune to your vehicle. They do not actually email the tunes to you, you install the software on your PC and the tunes are then downloaded to your PC and transferred to the tune device. Very simple process. And for the $600 you get up to 4 tunes and free updates and the ability to switch tunes. It comes with 87-89 Performance, 91 Performance and 93 Performance tunes, you could add a tow tune for the 4th or even an E30 tune. If your software gets updated on your car for say a TSB or something then they update your tune files for free. If you want a Comfort shifting tune instead of Performance then you get that for free as well if you request it. And it takes them a while to respond via email to question, better to call them as they, like other tuners, are small. I have had their tune on my ST for the last 9 months with no issues. Oh and no need for the throttle enhancer if you get a tune, as the throttle response is already enhanced by the tune.
  6. From what I have read the Livernois tune on the Sports is pretty good with huge gains. You also get 4 tunes for the same price. So you could get your 93 and a 91 and an 87-89 for the one price. Plus maybe you need a Tow tune for the 4th. Either way it is a great deal. I have the Livernois on my ST and it is great, but not as powerful as the Sports due to them taking it easy on the trans.
  7. Sounds like a Torque Converter lockup issue to me if it is bucking. Mine does not skip 3rd when cold or pretty much anytime I can tell with or without my tune on it. Of course it shifts with a little more authority with the tune than without though. It was smooth as glass after the last TSB update before I put the tune on it. I even even do a shift between D and R with a slight bit of movement still going on with no thunk or thud. Maybe they need to look past software for your issue and look at the solenoids or even the converter.
  8. Yes if moving only slightly or slowly it will go into park. Just like a unit with a lever type shifter, it will also go into park if you move it forward while moving slow enough. It will not do it at speed though and the parking brake also will not engage at speed. Tried it at slow speed to see what would happen in a snow filled parking lot. It did not engage. These are nice safety features so you do not run yourself over getting out with the car in gear, which has happened to people sadly. Same as engaging park when you turn the vehicle off. I have had it engage the parking brake on me if parking on a slight hill and turning off without putting it in park, and releasing the brake pedal right after turning off. Like it sensed the roll and was not all the way in Park yet so it put the brakes on.
  9. People are tuning it. The problem is the Transmission is an unknown compared to the Sport model. Sport's had plenty of power added to them, LMS added almost 103hp and 97ft/lbs. peak power to them. Same engine with a Trans they knew could handle that. It is just not the same with this new 8 speed. Shit Ford barely has it working correctly yet so how do expect a tuner to work their magic without the manufacturer being able to figure it out. You have to work within the limits of what the Trans and rest of the driveline can handle.
  10. Transmission Fluid is Oil, Oil gets thicker when cold, cold oil does not flow easily. It is totally normal for any Automatic trans to shift harder/harsher when cold. I have been driving for over 30 years and never had one that shifted smooth as glass cold, not even a Benz. This trans cold shifts just fine cold as long as you are not driving briskly, which you should not be doing on a cold trans anyway. If I get on it to much then yeah I get a harsh shift when cold but if I accelerate normally it is fine.
  11. It does make it shift harder but not bad. Just more with authority when you are getting 'on' it a lot. In normal driving it is like Sport mode shifts buy in normal mode. You can ask them to give you Comfort shifts instead of the Performance ones though it you like. Since you get 4 tunes at once you could do like a 93 Performance one and a 93 Comfort and then maybe a 91 Performance and 87-89 Performance . I personally like the way it shifts now. Even after the TSB, it still shifts great. Like a 'Sport' vehicle should shift. I have had my tune like 8 months and the vehicle 12. I love the tune and miss it when I remove it, for the shifting and gas pedal tuning alone. Power is great and delivered earlier but throttle response and trans programing is what really make me happier. Well that and more boost in 1st and 2nd. I have the LMS Perf 93, Perf 91, and Perf 87-89 tunes and use just the 93 since I have that readily available.
  12. The more I read about this in this thread I was wondering if the bucking was the TQ converter locking in lower gears and not unlocking when it should. I actually had the buck bounce once today because my foot bounced on the gas pedal at low speed when I went over some bumps. So it bucked like a standard shift would do in like 2nd gear and slowing manipulating the accelerate up and down, like quick taps but not as bad as that would be if you did not disengage the clutch to stop the shenanigans. And yes I do miss my Standard shift car that I would do that to annoy my passengers.
  13. I am going to go out on a limb and say the 2020's were probably already updated since they hopefully worked out all the software by the time they were released. Most of the TSB's only apply to vehicles built before a certain date, not the date the software fix was released. They update the vehicles being built with new software before they send it to the public.
  14. I have had my ST for almost a year and 12,000 miles. Sure it had some trans shifting or harsh engagements but nothing that makes me regret leasing it. My only regret is that I did not do a 12,000mi/yr lease and did 10,500. The trans is a new unit and this is the first vehicle they stuck it in. So the software is not right, but it is software and that can be updated and it has. The latest builds will have the most up to date software so if you order it then it should come all updated and ready. Should they have figured this out by now, maybe, but the only way to learn and find little quirks is to get the vehicle out there. People on a Forum are going to be the ones that bitch about them the most. The average buyer probably will never drive an ST near its limits and may not notice or care about the issues mentioned in the ST for the trans. I mean I drive mine like I am running from the cops, an active pursuit, most of the times and I love it. And mine has only spent time at the dealer to get the 2 TSB trans updates and oil changes. It did go in to get some straps replaced on the fuel tank which was a TSB as well. My dad works there so he drives it in and I take his Escape for the day.
  15. Yeah I had to tell them I got the update and they then reset my device so that it was cleared off like it was new. Plug it in to the Edge, which it came back as an unrecognized vehicle, then send them the new strategy codes. Then they worked on updating their tune to work with the new codes and I installed the tune, and saved the stock tune to the device. And after the TSB was applied I did have a little quicker paddle shifter working and still do with the tune. Still not DSG speeds but better than from the factory. I mean my mothers MKC 2.3 was quicker to shift between paddle input and actual shifting than the Edge ST. Lol! Now the Edge is better in that regard, about the same speed input to shift as the MKC.
  16. I had the LMS tune and the TSB applied. I sent them the new strategy code after the TSB was applied and they tweaked the tune to work with that code. As far as I can see the tune works in concert with the trans strategy that is already there. Seems to really just apply more pressure when shifting thus making the shifts a little more harsh/hard. You can ask for comfort which is supposedly the same pressure as stock or close to it.
  17. Some dealers would do that. But it is best to lie and just list the problems that are on the TSB as something you are experiencing. That is the easiest way. I just told the dealer I did not complain before because I knew there was not a fix until now since I had seen it on online forums. No need to complain if I knew there was not a fix yet. Worked just fine.
  18. Rear seatbelt Minder? I honestly have never heard of that. I don't believe there are pressure sensors in the rear seat or even sensors on the seatbelt no matter what model of the 2019 Edge you have.
  19. Here is the tune back on it, no updated revision just the update for the strategy codes. First two are stock then the second are the 93 tune. Same exact road. May have started a little bit down the road than before.
  20. No idea, the new codes are as follows. I guess they had no seen them yet so they are updating. It would be nice if it is a V4 tune and I guess I will find out soon enough. ECU/Strategy code CNDM2JN.H32 SW ID Number K2GA-14C204-DGB
  21. While I wait for my LMS tune to get updated to work on the new strategy I did a nice morning run with the stock tune today. Here are the results. Car said outside temp was 36 degrees. This should also show that the ST would do a lot better with a better FMIC since I assume the Charge Air Temps were around 110+ degrees instead of the normal summertime 190+ degrees. So an FMIC would keep the temps around this range or lower in the summer. Anyway will update when I get the tune back on. They said this is a new strategy that me and another ST owner have and they need to make the tune for it so it will be more than the 24-48 hour turn around.
  22. I saw how to remove it from another set of instructions. My problem as I have stated is I LEASE the vehicle and it has to be returned to stock at turn in. Sure they may not see the drill holes, but two posts up people are saying to cut the AGS in half. Lol! I would remove the AGS myself. I was more comparing to the amount of options available for the Focus ST and most were just bolt right up. Sadly this seems to be the only option for the Edge and is twice the price of the same type of unit the Focus has had. What can I say I also don't like drilling holes.
  23. I am not sure where you thought I did not understand the need for a larger/better intercooler. I have been and am all for one. I know the AGS has to be removed, and never said plug and play. I just would like one that 'bolts' up to the stock holes or area without modification other than removal of the AGS. On the Focus the FMIC was pretty much bolt on, at least the one I got, and was only $350 and was size wise, increase in cooling area, about the same as we are talking here if not more. I do not recall off the top of my head. It was very effective at keeping the charge air temp delta, cold side, to withing 5-7 degrees start to finish. Either way I lease so I want to be able to pull the bumper cover, remove AGS and Stock FMIC and install new FMIC and put the bumper cover back on, like I did with my Focus ST. I know when I turn it in they would not notice the holes drilled when returned to stock but I still do not want to have to drill.
  24. The Focus ST turbo is a single scroll K03. I am not sure what turbo is on the Edge 2.0 but I believe it is a twin scroll unit. So the aftermarket ones for the Focus would not bolt right on.
  25. My mother just replaced her 2.3T MKC with another 2.3T MKC, the Corsair was not out in time for when her lease ended in September so she had to order the MKC instead, I say order because not many dealers order them with the 20 inch wheels like she wanted or the color she wanted. It would be nice to tune since it has the adjustable suspension on it and handles damn nice.
