  1. Yeah but your Conti may have a better unit. I know the FoST would lose power big time after just one pull, by the time you hit 3rd gear in it your temps were 70-90 degrees over starting temp, charge air temps. With a good IC they may raise 10 degrees max. Mine never went up more than 5-6 with a 3.5 inch Depo. May help out in the 1/4 mile runs a hair if you do not pull as much timing. Orr maybe the V-6 TT just handles the heat better or does not advance timing as far as the 2.0T. I am not tracking it anyhow, just like to make the bits and pieces happy and cool. ?
  2. It is impressive. Best 0-60 so far is 5.19 with it measured with my new Dragy!

    Explorer ST

  4. Nice. I was thinking about the T-Stat. The charge air temps on these things is through the roof though on a good run by the time you let off the gas. Around 70+ degrees above intake air temp which on the ST seems to already be 10-15 degrees over ambient. I would get the FMIC if I thought there was a market for selling it later on and recoup most of my costs. When I got the Focus unit it was $350 new and I sold it for $300. Something tells me I will not get that good a return on the Edge unit. Lol!
  5. Nice, Did you have more than just the tune, like an upgraded FMIC or RMM? My Focus did that until I got a better RMM and then it settled some. I am not sure how far I want to go with the Edge since it is a lease, the Focus was as well but I got lucky and traded it so I did not have to remove the RMM and the updated BPV. I wonder how much more consistent the Edge would be with an FMIC upgrade. I did another run playing but temps were up to 77 and I was not really trying and back down to 5.5s 0-60 on that run. But I just pulled over and then gunned it with a slight brake torque. I do not hop, just spin, but am also working on finding the best combination of launch. It seeems to be a hair quicker with the trans in Sport mode than Normal. But I could be just imagining that as I get better launching.
  6. If the engine behaves like the Focus ST tuned then I would say it is worth it. Just has a different turbo but the engine can certainly produce more power, especially way more torque. But if it is worth it is all up to you on if you think the gains for $600 is worth the cash. I think it is but I like to get the most out of the engine.
  7. Haha! Not to ruin your day but the FoST crowd has known this for a while. Does Livernois offer to tweak your tune more with log files sent to them, in the E30 cases. The tuners that do FoST offer some nice tunes with E30 that even have a Hig Torque option in case you want more from the base tune with some logs sent in.
  8. While there may not be any power gains do you notice maybe gains in response? While there not be more power produced I assume there could be better power delivery and maybe better times in regards to 0-60 or 1/4, and thus better on road for when you want to dust that family truckster.
  9. At some point I will switch to stock to calculate. I just figure that is a pretty good increase over what the test mules got for the likes of Car and Driver and MotorTrend. Best I saw with them was 5.7s to 60 and a 14.3 at 98 for the 1/4. Of course I will post the stock numbers when I drop back to that tune. I am brake torqueing and have the stock 20" wheels with the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble High-Perf All seasons on it. I get a slight wheel spin at launch but it grabs pretty good, no hop and nothing like launching the FoST tuned. I just rotated the tires a few weeks back and they only have 7000 miles on them now. I will update once I do some more runs and figure out the best launch. Maybe even go to the 91 tune just for more info, along with stock.
  10. With my Dragy so far the best I got 0-60 on a stock ST with Livernois 93 tune and in Sport mode with Advance Trac off and a slight .77 degree downgrade is 5.19 seconds. 1/4 mile at 13.66s at 99.06mph. Going the other way I got 5.38 to 60 and 13.77 at 98.19, that was my first try in Sport mode. Normal trans first try was 5.4 to 60 and 13.81 at 98.53. The first one was at 60 degrees and the quicker ones were at 72 degrees. Not a track by the way, just a mostly deserted back road that is straight.
  11. I should have my Dragy tomorrow. Not that I think I will get your times but it is nice to see a comparison.
  12. The only time my dealer would ever take the time and energy to hook up the computer to the OBDII port is it there is a problem and to do the NYS inspection, they use the OBDII to check emissions readiness, and that is it. Believe me I try to avoid letting my dealer doing anything to my car. Heck I have a 'lease care' on it that covers oil and tire rotate and I do not even let them do the tire rotate because they mess up the crappy lug nut covers when they do. I doubt they would even notice a tune pulling it in for an oil change, it does behave differently than the stock tune when hitting the gas.
  13. I got it done on mine. With an App on my phone and a WiFi OBDII device I recorded a 5.81 0-60 stock and a 5.499 with the 93 tune. I ordered a Dragy to get even better numbers, although I will not go back to the stock tune just to see what it gets. Lol
  14. Looking good. Thank You. It should make it a heck of a lot easier to find the info, especially for new members.
  15. I think it would be great if we could find and move the tuning threads here. Or at least the recent ones that have the terms Tune or Tuning in the title. Especially since there are two tuning threads about the LMS tune for the ST in two different sections. So to keep people updated on my findings with this tune I have to post in 2 places just so the people will see the info, in case they do not check both threads. Then there is the Brew City Boost thread.
  16. I just ordered a Dragy so I could get better numbers. I will post what I get once I play with it. Lets see what the ST can do!
  17. Yeah sounds like the stability control kicked in which on those models can not be turned off. I know on my 2019 it can be turned off, I have to do donuts in the school parking lot during this past winter, but I am not sure if it can on other models. I can not turn off the roll control on mine but I am not sure why I would want to, lol. What Hankook tire do you have? Some are not the best rated for snow and ice conditions even if they are all season.
  18. Both of those were shot with the driver door window all the way down and the drivers rear one down a few inches, I opted for no sunroof so need to drop the rear a hair so there is no buffeting. I held the brakes on the launch a little longer than I did when I timed the 5.4999 0-60. I am going to order one of those Dragy devices to see all my true times.
  19. Here is my crappy video of before and after.
  20. I am using the Livernois 93 Performance tune. The shifts are far from the stock ones with the TSB applied. Seem a little harder, not bad but more engaging feeling. Here are two videos, they suck but show the difference between stock and 93 tune on the same road.
  21. I will say I really am liking this tune. The throttle response in normal mode is exactly what I thought it should have been from the factory. The shifting is so much better as well. Of course the boost coming on earlier is just awesome, 1st and 2nd gear are no longer limited like the stock tune. Everything just responds better. The manually shifting is still slow from input to actual shift but I assume that is the nature of the beast since it is not a DSG.

  23. That i what I got on mine. Top number is VIN then the ECU/Strategy Code then the SW ID number. You send them the info and I attached the picture and then they should send you an email when it is done. You will then plug your unit into the computer and run the MyCalibrator software and it will download the tunes they give you, for me they just sent 87-98 Perf, 91 Perf, and 93 Pref tunes because on the fuel question I put 91 and 93, or maybe they just send those to everyone. Then the next time I plugged the unit into the car it saved the stock tune then I turned the car off and unplugged the unit and waited about 10 seconds and put the car back into Run mode, not started, and plugged the unit in and selected my tune. It did its thing and I then turned it off and back on and drove it. I did have to reset my Sync 3 unit because the screen came on and the radio then eventually went blank but the music still played. It was fine after the reset, hold power and Search Up buttons until it resets. I did not hear anything from them within 24 hours so I sent a Message to them and they had forgot to let me know the tunes were ready for the unit. So if you do not hear anything within the 24-48 hour window then call or message them from the site. Good luck.
