  1. I just had all 4 of my wheels replaced due to pitting on the outside clear coated aluminum rim....I have the 18's. All but 1 wheel had this corrosion/pitting and the dealer took a picture of the rims and ordered 4 new ones right there on the spot. Like BBF stated, take your car to a different dealer for service. BTW, ford switched their supplier of the chrome clad wheels last year due to so many problems with them. I believe there was a TSB issued.
  2. Don't hold your breath waiting for that check
  3. 16.5 mpg mostly city.....and runnin' her like a raped ape ! :speedie: :burnout:
  4. The 20's have a much shorter and stiffer sidewall tire......this translates to a slightly harsher ride but much better handling in the corners.
  5. Looks like an installation error. Sportwing really stepped up and is taking care of the "problem" I love their door molding and will recommend them because of their response to you. A response like this is unheard of these days......way to go Sportwing.
  6. Just put one of those green felt stickys on your fingertip.....you know, the ones you put on your chairs as to not mar your freshly sanded, stained and clear coated hardwood floor......kinda makes it hard to pick your nose though
  7. :hysterical2: LMFAO @ 'pocket' :hysterical2:
  8. Just got the report.....Bad wheel bearing. Thanks for your input Druck, it is nice to have a real mechanics advice on here. Of course the part has to be ordered. Is it ok to drive with a bad wheel bearing? I hear that once they go, the wheel can fall off :o
  9. I think were talking about different parts here. I'm talking about the stop light brake switch which is located by the brake pedal. Hope it works out for you.
  10. The brake switch just sends a signal to activate the brake lights to illuminate. This switch has nothing to do with Traction control. Let us know how it was worked out.
  11. Damn, that is nasty, I thought mine was bad. Also, I believed these filters did nothing but seeing yours they clearly do. Can you believe my dealer charges $60 for 2 minutes worth of work and a $3 air filter.
  12. A bad wheel bearing at 16,000 miles ! Anything is possible at this point. I just hope the problem gets identified an repaired as it is hella annoying while on the road.
  13. I did think of this as well bbf, as I had the radio off while veryfying the noise. I did make an appointment earlier today and if the tech cannot hear this sound, they need to have their ears checked. Will post back with findings.
  14. My wifes Edge developed this rather audible "hum" noise while cruising on the highway. As we go faster the noise speeds up......the sound is like a quiet airplane you hear off in the distance or like a sound you would hear if you put a baseball card in the spokes of a bike. I put the car in neutral while cruising at 55 and this had no effect on the noise....also revved it up while in neutral and still, the noise remained constant.....It does seem louder when sitting on passenger side. At first I thought it was the tires, but the noise remains constant wether on asphalt, concrete or even dirt. Of course the noise slows as the car slows and it just abruptly showed up over the weekend. 2008 Limited AWD.
  15. Use the tip of an x-acto knife right on the bubble and watch it disappear.
  16. It annoys the hell out of me that the roof is only closed all the way by holding the damn button in. I will give anyone who figures out how to make it close by one push of the button 5% of GM stock
  17. They're similar to the Edge Sport rims. I really like those rims Chard. I am partial to "open" wheel rims because they look sporty. Where did you find these rims ?
  18. Anything can be done if you have the money.
  19. The brake fluid has nothing to do with the sound the pads make when contacting the rotor. My best guess would be that a piece of dirt/ pebble became embedded in the pad causing the squeak when the brakes are applied. Brake fluid DOES NOT need to be changed at 25,000 miles. The brake fluid is a sealed system. Sounds to me that those bastards charged you for something that was not needed in the first place. Whats done is done.....I would take that Chebby to a different dealer for service next time.
  20. The problem with these bumper protectors is they do not extend over the lip of the bumper....where damage will be more likely to occur. I'm just careful when loading and unloading Coppy.
  21. I think he straps some to the roof. With the BAMR, you can see exactly what those little bastards are up to
