I know you have had these posted for almost two months now. Have you considered posting a price which may create more interest? Many times I will not even bother replying to an ad for something which has no price. Usually means the seller is asking top dollar and is almost afraid to post his price. Not saying this is your case, but I really think if you post your bottom dollar asking price you might get more interest. Other problems may be that you say two have scuffs on them ,and the others have scratches. No one really wants to pay top dollar for damaged chrome wheels. Many owner's looking for new chrome clad wheels are looking to replace their scuffed, scratched wheels with unblemished ones. You also say the tires are "average" and can be used a while longer. No one wants to pay shipping for tires which will have to be replaced in a year or so, which your description sounds like. Unfortunately, the other problem is people are usually looking to upgrade to the 20" wheels, so these are not as in demand as them. I wish you well, and hope you have also taken advantage of Craigslist in your area to try selling them. Good luck.

How long ago was the install of 3.5.1? Was a master reset done before installing? Have you tried a master reset after the install?

I did the install of 3.5.1 today, updating from the 3.2. I had installed this summer. It took about 50 minutes. I thought something was wrong because it really hungup on file 2 and file 6, but everything worked fine and was installed OK. I did a master reset before AND after the install, and everything is working fine. No bugs as others had reported. The new A4 S/D nav card also now works.

Well, after responding to this post with some ESP prices and searches, I have decided to pull the trigger and buy one for my 2013 from Anderson and Koch. I have been planning on getting one before my 12 months/12000 miles are up, and doing some checking around to help the OP convinced me I might as well buy now. Anderson and Koch is $140.00 less than the lowest price I could find on line. They have listed $1660.00 for my 2013 Edge 2WD, 84 months, 100000 miles, Premium Care, $0.00 deductible. No need for me to pay the extra cost for an upgraded rental, just the $70.00 which is included in the quote for the first day rental coverage. I am waiting on one reply to an inquiry I sent to one last dealer asking for their "discount" code before I call Anderson and Koch and buy it.

According to the Ford site and the Anderson and Koch site, you can still get the $0.00 deductible. Pricing my 2013 Limited with a 7 year, 100000 mile, $0.00 deductible the cost was around $1550.00. Well worth the $0.00 deductible extra cost of about $455.00 or so versus getting the $100.00 deductible with the same years and mileage. I know I would have more than 4 service visits within 7 years or 100000 miles, and I would hate to have to pay $100.00 each time. Mine is 2WD. Your AWD on Anderson and Koch with $0.00 deductible, 100000 miles, Premium Care (best there is) is $1750. Right there you picked up 25000 more miles and a zero deductible compared to what you are paying the same price for with your dealer. The first day rental and extended rental would be extra cost. Please take the advice given by other members and check the prices yourself on line. You usually don't pay sales tax either if you buy on line from out of state! The policy is issued by Ford and is good at ALL Ford dealerships! Don't let your dealer tell you otherwise!

Yes, that will happen if you tried using the A4 nav card without having updated the system to the 3.5.1 version. I tried the same thing and had to put the A3 card back in for the nav to work. A4 will work after you install the 3.5.1 You can go to the Sync My Ride site and download the correct update from there, go to the link I posted in reply #14 and download the update from there (it also gives good instructions of how to install the update), or you can go to Ford and ask them to do it. There is no charge for the new A4 card or the update even if done at Ford. Just curious, how did you obtain an A4 card without knowing about the update?

Here's the link to the Ford TSB regarding the 3.5.1 update. Page 2, step 2, specifically says to do a Sync Master Reset and gives instructions how to do it. This is before installing the 3.5.1 to the vehicle. Here is a link to the TSB issued by Ford for the install/update to 3.5.1. Page 2 has the Vehicle Software Install instructions (Step 2) which states "Perform Sync Master Reset" and instructs how to do so. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1257774/tsb12-11-01.pdf There is no mention of doing another master reset after the install. It has been reported by some owners that a few unwanted oddities have occurred after the install. Another master reset done after the install seems to clear these bugs up, as pointed out in this discussion.

I will have to find the TSB which was released and contained the link to the 3.5.1. In it there were directions to do a master reset before the update. Many also do the master reset when finished to clear up a few bug issues.

You can go to the Ford website and put in what you are looking for including the color. It will locate matching cars in dealer stock (I believe you set what distance or zip code you want to search). You can even view the window sticker of each one you are interested in. Depending on your relationship with the dealer you are working with, or how far you might want to travel, you could always contact the dealer with any you find and work out a deal over the phone, by email, or by driving and doing it in person. I have never paid to have a dealer do a dealer trade, that's part of the business. The farthest one dealer went for me to pick up what I wanted was a little over 250 miles each way.

Just jumping in here to ask if you have ruled out that deal from Detroit Wheel that you had posted about? Ever find out if they were chrome plated or clad, or have you given up on them?

OK, I got the new A4 updated SD card for my 2013 Limited with nav. I am holding off on getting the update installed or installing it myself until I read about more successful installs without more bugs. The card was sent through Sync My Ride where I filled out a form on line to have it mailed. Today was the first time I've driven in the past week, and I installed just the new A4 card since it is an update from the A3. My nav responded by saying it couldn't read the card and to insert a different one, or something like that. Reinserted the A3 and everything was OK. Tried the A4 and got the same fail notice. Apparently the A4 card will only work if I install the new 3.5.1 update along with the card? I'm currently running 3.2.2

Dan, I clicked on that link to see the pictures, but it opens and says I must create a channel to view it. Also, I haven't forgotten about the DRL's for my 2013, but with some of your posts over the last week or two I'm holding off to see what else you are putting together. Just to clarify, are they flashing their lights at you when you were only driving with your low beams on? Or are they flashing now that you also have the DTBL additional lights on?

Yes, that would be correct.

The picture another member posted showing the purple wire didn't help you? How about the link I posted showing the installation of illuminated sill plates and what wires to tie into on your other post about wanting to add the LED interior lights? I recall also from reading several of the posts several months ago that for the sill plates, Ford changed some of the wire colors since the original instructions. You might have to search and see if you can find more information or see if anyone has the electrical manual. If you have tried doing anything with the wire in the daytime, are you sure the puddle lights come on if it is light outside? If they don't come on, you might not see power in the wire at that time.

Check and make sure the VIN on the window sticker they gave you is the same as the Edge you bought. I have a 2013 Limited with Rapid Spec 301A and voice activated navigation system is included in that. It sounds like you should have it if the window sticker is the one for your Edge. Have you plugged in the SD card and what happens when you do. I'm not sure how the in dash screen is set up on your 2011, but on mine the top right is for the navigation. Can you select that to turn on the nav if the card is in place? Have you looked through your owner's manual ( available on line with the Ford owner services if you need to see an online version).

Oh, doing some more reading over there on the Sync site and it's also happening to other models.

I have a 2013 Edge Limited I purchased in July 2012, built in May, 2012. The navigation has been spot on and never shows me off the road I am on and never places me ahead or behind by more than a few feet. I have read numerous complaints from 2013 Ford Escape owner's who are reporting the same problems as you are. Since there are so many reports from them (on the Sync My Ride Community Board http://boards.synccommunity.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?tsn=1&nav=messages&webtag=fordsyncmb&tid=5793) there has to have been a change in the components being put into these navs. I wonder if a different supplier is providing some of the new parts for the Escape, and if maybe some of those same parts are being put into later build Edges? Just a thought, but you are not the only nav owner with those same problems, although as I said the majority seem to be 2013 Escape owners.

Regarding the "free alarm system" I don’t think I paid for it because the system was given to my by the finance guy after the Edge deal was agreed with the salesman. I mean after I agreed with the salesman the plus & minus on the deal and he went to the manager to get the approval then the salesman said now we will go to see the finance manager and it was this guy who told me about the LoJack. It is the finance person's job to do "up-selling" for the dealership. The salesman does his job by getting you to commit to a price for the vehicle you want. Some dealers already have an extra charge added to the "invoice" for dealer installed options such as window tint, wheel locks, nitrogen in tires, alarm systems, etc. Once you get into the finance office, the only job the finance guy has to do is sell you more items. It is in this office that the dealership really makes their profit! These usually include extended warranties, paint sealant, fabric protection, life insurance to cover the loan, a higher interest rate for the loan through the dealership, alarm systems, and a multitude of other add ons. I would love to believe that you actually got this alarm system for free, but the LoJack system is just one item which is popular with many dealerships as an extra profit item. It could be added to the "invoice" or to the monthly payment amount. It is not a system given away for free. Regardless, you have purchased a great vehicle and I hope you enjoy it very much. Looking forward to seeing pictures of it when it arrives. I could not find that color when I was looking in July for my Edge on any of the dealership lots I went to.

I wonder if the wire which is tapped into for the illuminated sill plate would be what you are looking for? If you search the board for the sill plates, I think there are several posts which show where the wires are and what color they are. I believe these provide 12+ when the door is opened. From what I recall without doing a search, the wires are behind the kick panels by the drivers and passengers feet on the outboard side.

I replied to your question yesterday, but must not have hit the POST button since I don't see my reply. You live in an area where snow brushes are used almost daily on many cars. I wonder if while on the lot someone brushed off the snow or had to scrape some ice and the edge or corner of the brush dug into the glass or scratched the glass?
