I get it on my little screen when I am streaming music via blue tooth - but the big screen stays with controls.

No - it doesn't mean that your battery is low. Just that after sitting in Auxilary mode for so long, it tells you that it is turning of in 5...4...3...2...1 - in case you aren't really still sitting in it doing something. The screen killing the battery has nothing to do with the battery saver.

I don't think it is that heat sensitive here in Alaska - my hands are rarely warm in the car now. I know that I was resting my palm on the flasher button while playing with the screen. I have just learned not to do that any more.

He wants to add the 2011 system to his 10 - it won't work according the other responses. At least that is how I took the question.

I have tried, but doesn't turn out. It is in the center console not the glove box. under the RCA plugs - two finger size hole. Just feel around.

I was thinking something simple like Pandora... but then, I really don't want to make my car be my computer or my phone. I love my edge and all it does, but at times I am really miss not being connected every minute of the day.

I agree for ease it isn't the best, but with reclining back seats I can see some of the challenge. I think when it is up and installed it doesn't look that bad. I leave mine off till I need it.

Wilson - I 100 percent agree that YOU have problems with touch - and I would agree that there are bugs to the system. But I would guess 90% of 2011 edge drivers don't have the issues that you and some others are having. My bluetooth audio has worked consistently since I started trying to use it. The only phone related issues I have are contact photo's and text to speech. Neither bug me not to have.

I went back and forth between the escape and the edge before deciding on the edge. This potential new body image would have made it really easy to pick the edge. I don't like any of the pictures. blah!! good thing there are many different car styles for all of us to pick from. I love my 11 edge though.

If you have a system that has issues, yes, it sounds like it can be this bad. But not everyone is having these types of issues. I have never had to pull a fuse or have the system reset. The issues I have are related to having an iPhone, not the cars fault. And there may or may not be issues with Sirius, but it doesn't work in Alaska anyway.

just for a note.... I have the stock Michelan (I don't know how to spell this....) 18's that came with the car on my limited AWD and with the Freezing rain and ice storm we have had for the last three days here in Alaska, the car has handled great. Nothing seemed to work perfectly besides not going out or going extremely slow if you did, but I would say the tires held their own and I am sticking with my decision to not worry about switching to studs. (we either stay with all weather up here or get studded tires)

The push button start is an option when ordering "the drivers package" I can't imagine it being available after it is built since it would involve a whole different dash.

Mine works consistently and wonderfully. Love the heated seats.

What doesn't your car do of that? the only thing that I noticed was the contact photo and the wall paper (but I haven't tried too)

That is how I got here. My dad was offered this or Germany in the early 80's... he managed to do two tours and retire. We all love it. It is a different world though.

It is almost distracting to watch the display here in Alaska - it is like a video game or something. But the car has handled great and we have had plenty of ice already.

We have issues with rock dings in our windshields in Alaska - so just keep your deductible low for that and get a new one every couple of years then it doesn't matter if you scratch it. I have never noticed that my windshields are that scratched...

I have a 2011 Limited AWD that works great. I have an iPhone 3gs paired with it and besides contact photo's not being able to be loaded or read texts to me (both iphone issues) mine works great. Oh and my sirius may or may not work. It doesn't work in Alaska so not sure if the issue is because of that or because of something else. I have not had had screen issues. It responses to a fairly light touch and within a reasonable speed. My camera hasn't scrolled or stopped working... nothing of what people are having happen. Oh and I have had it since middle of September and almost 3k miles. Knocking on lots of wood now.

If it concerns you and you are at the dealer anyway - never hurts to ask! Better safe then sorry. good luck and enjoy that Sony.
