Odrapnew Report post Posted November 9, 2022 (edited) Not necessarily a hate, but I really dislike the fact that the left gauge cluster panel doesn't revert back to previous screen after using paddle shifters. It switches over to the round tach, but after it times out, stays on that screen. My 14 Explorer Sport would revert back to whatever screen it was on previously (usually fuel mileage). One thing I don't like is when it randomly drops Android Auto while I use the NAV function on my phone or states that the USB device is not recognized. paiyaan8 Report post Posted December 24, 2022 (edited) I have a 2009 Limited (fully loaded, almost every option). It has power driver and passenger seats, however, the seat backs are manual. You have to lift the lever and lean forward or back and release the lever to adjust the angle on the seat backs. I don't see how it is useful for anything. Also the center console storage, glove box, door storage...are small. I tried putting the contents of my old 2017 Escape into the same compartments in the Edge, and they don't fit, at all. Wondering how many people are trying to figure out its use, when he simply had an argument with his wife and decided to take it out on tbe design of the Edge. ratepace Report post Posted February 1 My 2010 awd Limited gives an extremely smooth and quiet ride with no rattles. I continue to hate all the little things that Ford decided to cut costs on... hood insulation, sensors in the rear door handles, good lighting in the cargo area, virtual climate controls, having to fully open the sunshade just to vent the panoramic roof. Coming from a couple recent Fusions, these "little" things take time to come to grips with. I still walk up to my back doors expecting it to unlock... probably the one convenience I miss most from the previous cars (not sure if they were ever available on the Edge). My 2019 SEL will lock or unlock if I have the fob with me and I touch the top (lock), or put my hand behind the handle (unlock) on the rear doors. Must have been deleted for...2022? dabangsta Report post Posted February 2 I hate(d) the capped lug nuts. I bought some fairly cheap solid metal chromed ones that are bulge acorn and replaced them all. They have been on there for 200 miles, checked twice and none have been "loose", I don't think I need to get the super wide bulge ones, I removed some and checked and they seem to seat just fine. Might be tougher if I was starting with a loose wheel and putting the first one on. Only a couple could I get the OEM lug wrench on more than 1/4 of the way on, I had to take my time and wiggle it on to get enough bite to get them off, and it only has 1000 miles on the second set of tires. It was bought used, and it shows some signs of abuse, but it doesn't look like the hood has been removed (the EGR cooler work doesn't seem to require it). jnechi Report post Posted February 23 (edited) Went from a 2013 Limited to a 2022 Titanium. I don't like the scoop in the hood, it's visually distracting and seems to catch a lot of wind. The ambient lighting no longer has a color selection. The leather feels cheaper than on my 2013. There is no clock on the dash cluster panel, only on the tablet. Arm rest console has even less storage. Glove box opens on the side with a push button. Fuel door requires a push to open and close...sometime I have to push it more than once. Window controls are out of reach so I have to lean forward. There is way too much info and buttons on the window wiper handle/switch. Doors don't have a pop up knob to allow you to manually pull up the lock to unlock; it's just a light that is red or green. The head rests are NOT adjustable forward and back, only up and down. Looks like I am going to the dealer to get a replacement hood bumper and striker bumper. The striker bumper doesn't stay in place. I found it laying in the plastic tray it contacts when it place.
