Start Stop Disable

I was able to disable the Auto Start/Stop with the Forscan on my 2023 ST. It had a separate line in the easier worded section just for it labeled something like BSM / Auto Start Stop. There were other BSM items that you could modify so I believe it was just doing that and not disabling the entire BSM module.

Yes unfortunately you are right Wubster100. The vehicle would bring up a warning about the battery every time I started the vehicle. I ended up putting it back.

Thanks omar302, I will give this a try and see how it goes and let you know.

I guess another question I have is should I do a BMS reset since I disabled it and then enabled it back? It is a very new battery, about one month old.

Generally, you do not want to reset the BMS unless the battery has been replaced. However, your battery is newer, so it would not hurt to reset the BMS.

I have Forscan, but opted for the aftermarket disable switch instead.  Works perfectly.  I wish I could remember what it's called and where I got it but it's a three to five min install w/zero hassle. I  Googled it.  Like my better half, Google knows Everything!
