I did all sorts of bench tests on  the Dorman and based on those tests I assumed it must work, but after a good web search found that for reasons unknown the 3rd party evap valves don't work - installing a Motocraft confirmed the search results.

It is called "Radial Tire Pull". Just as @RPGR90s stated. If it still exists look up Firestone 500 problems. Those were replaced with almost as bad Firestone 721. Luckily, we don't see as much as in the early days switch to radials. Also fewer flats! And never forget the TPC radial problems good old GM.

I pulled off the Dorman unit and tested it with a 12v battery and it appears to open correctly as well as hold suction.    As far as the under vehicle cannister, the only thing I found was forward of the muffler that has some hoses going to it and an electrical connector. It mounts right up against the floorpan just forward of the muffler.

Has anyone else try to change the fuel low pressure sensor on a 2.0 ecoboost Ford Edge and it's not where it's supposed to be? I've read it's supposed to be on the line along the firewall but trying to find mine it's not there. Anyone have insight into this? Thank you in advance

@RPGR90s I have used the Dorman evap purge valve and it did not work, or didn't work for long.   I don't know what it is and why the third party valves don't work but can confirm that the Motocraft replacements do work.   The current one I bought from this eBay seller and its been working for one year. Genuine Ford Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid GL3Z-9B325-B | eBay   Get the free Forscan Lite to use with an OBDII adapter to read and reset codes.   You'll find the PDF's in this thread showing the location of the canister - it's not easy to access.

Cant explain what you encountered but would recommend alignment soon after the new tires are installed.

2019 Edge ST with 105k miles   Recently the check engine light came on and my scanner revealed the two error codes.    Since the purge valve solenoid is right on top of the engine, I thought I would replace this first. Dorman 994-073 Vapor Canister Purge Valve   I tried clearing the codes but my cheap scanner won't allow me to do that, so I was hoping the codes would clear themselves, assuming the purge valve is now working.    I have also cleaned and inspected the fuel filler area, but it appeared very clean and tight.    I would also like to inspect/replace the charcoal canister but I cannot find it's location. If anyone could tell me, I would be most appreciative.    Thank You!!   RPGR90s

2019 Edge ST with 105k miles. Original owner.   I installed a set of GoodYear Assurance A/S tires about 50k miles ago and they have been fine. Normal wear and they're almost due for replacement.    About a year ago I noticed the car wanting to pull slightly to the right and they steering wheel being off-center to the left.    Tire pressure normal (35psi) at all four corners Alignment checked Then I decided to just swap the two front tires from side to side and the result was that the car now track normally and the steering wheel is centered again.    My theory is that the belts on the right front tire were wearing differently and causing the tire to drift to the right. My basis is that my father was an engineer at Uniroyal Tire for 40 years and he often talked about what happens inside a tire, even when the tread appears fine.    So I'll be replacing the tires this Friday with a new set.    Just wanted to pass this along in case anyone else is having a similar issue.    RPGR90s

My brother helped me do this just this past sunday, 13th. We removed and replaced the (rear drive unit clutch kit) Part # CV6Z-4A232A.  Took us about 2 hrs. Mine was shuttering and sort of not releasing going around corners under light throttle, the part cost $638.00 from Lakeland Ford of FL. Pretty straight forward R&R, only thing is you have to >pair< the new unit with Forscan, with a new 4 digit code, that took almost as long as the install. Very happy with the results of repair, (bluey) is as good as new now! This was with 145,xxx on the odo, and its a 2014 3.5 litre.
