I thought so too. I put a vacuum gauge on the solenoid and it wouldn’t hold vacuum until I covered the outlet. I put a new one (tested to make sure it was closed and it worked) cleared the code and about 15 miles later light came back on.

By fletcher969 · Posted Vehicle is new to us. Is this a Ford thing? I would expect during extended level-and-steady cruise - at the very least - that the TCC would be commanded to 100%/0 RPM lock up (Per TC_SLIPDSD PID). This transmission is commanded to full lock up...maybe 1% of the time during level-and-steady cruise.

By fletcher969 · Posted Hi all, 2.0L, 8F35 transmission Vehicle is new to us, and we hadn't yet played with Sport Mode. Yesterday I decided to give it a whirl, and I noticed that at times, seemingly randomly, whenever I would press the + paddle, the gear indicator would flash, and the transmission wouldn't shift. I read in the manual about condition-based gear unavailability, but these occurred during easy or normal acceleration and say for example 2500-3000 RPMs when I would expect it to shift without adverse RPMs resulting. No particular gear seemed to be implicated, although I would say it happened more often in 4-7. Any particular reason why this would happen?

Welcome. It's the first I hear of this here on the forum, so makes me question the diagnostics that led to all those parts being replaced - might want to consider a different mechanic/service shop.

You need a T155/70R18 sized tire, a wheel (KT4Z1015A) which is sized 18" x 4", 5 Lug, 4.25" Bolt Pattern, and the jack with components. From the attached diagram, you only need the jack, mounting stud, wing nut and wrench so that it is secured in the well. The mini spare became an option around the 2021 model year. For some reason, Ford included the mini spare with some new Edges, but charged $100 (see the attached window sticker.) It was not included at all on others. I would search your local salvage yards for these items. Be careful that you find the 18-inch tire and wheel, not the 17-inch combination. Since the model refresh in 2015, these items have remained the same, so there should be plenty of availability. windowsticker.pdf

I don't see any recent updates either, although my 22 ST has never had this camera issue.

By Tucson Bob · Posted Every gas fill-up there is a very strong Gas smell near the rear and drivers side near filler tube. Smell pretty much stops when the gas level get down 3/4 of a tank. Shop says the gas tank had leak so we replaced fuel tank and fuel pump for $2500. This did not solve gas smell problem. We replaced the Purge Valve, and entire EVAP system. Still has gas smell. My mechanic can't figure it out. They did smoke test and could not locate any leaks. Has anybody experienced this? Any potential solutions? Only thing left we thought might be filler tube?

Hi Caden, that is great news! Can you elaborate a bit more on how the wiring needs to be done/modified so that the live in drive functionality of the paddle shifters is activated. I added the wiring from the paddle shifters and can confirm they work and are wired correctly, but only when M(anual) gear is selected with the shifter. They mimic the function of the +- knob which is on the shifter and is only active when in M. I compared and followed the wiring diagrams for Edge Sport 3.7 and Explorer Limited 3.5 and only got this far. Any further info would be much appreciated. Thanks. Vlad
