Hey Tom, Do a search, I'm pretty sure that pictures have already been posted in the past. I haven't seen the cover in person, but it IS NOT a rollup type, it connects to backm seat headrests, and to the rear closest to the liftgate. I plan to get one before summer, planning some road trips, would like to conceal luggage. Joe

Since my update, I have to admit, everything has improved drastically. Today, my wife tookm out my MKX (yes, I did let her drive it), and her Iphone connected immediately. Before the upgrade, her Iphone would not connect automatically, and sometimes, if you tried a "manual connect", it still would not connect. Just give us the outside temp display back on the center screen.

Getb it back to the dealer, immediately ! S/B covered under warranty, DO NO attempt to do anything yourself. Years ago, I had a 2002 Explorer, after 2 years, the armrest on the console was developing a problem where the dye used on the leather was wearing off. Waas beige interior, armrest was turning black, and it WAS NOT from being dirty. Ford replaced at no charge.

Got a call today from John T at my dealer, Ford finally got back to them on the program update for the tailgate not closing on the 1st try. If I leave a door open, and close the gate, it WILL close the 1st time. Bringing it in next Tuesday, will post an update after that. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one. Joe

Yup, nice and mild, and smells good, too. My butt hasn't been so clean and smelt so good in a loooooong time ! (ha-ha). Will have to try them out, my MKX is charcoal black interior, the wife's MKS is Pebble, shows every spot, but I do manage to keep it clean.

Do it yourself, mine took 40 minutes. Reason dealer told you 4-5 hours, is probably they don't know how soon they will get to it.

How could Ford forget about you. Look at it this way, you just got it today, so you have the LATEST one ( Cute, aren't I ) Let us know how long it took, and if you are happy with the upgrade & changes.

I have no problems with address numbers. REMEMBER, when you have a number to enter (example 245), you cannot say two hundred fourty five, you have to say two four five. Give it a shot. Joe

I just went into the garage and checked the 3rd brake light on my mkx, and if you open the gate, there are 2 bolts (1 at each corner) that probably have to be undone, and 2 rubber gaskets, that if you took out, might have 2 more nuts to undo, looks like maybe 10mm. As I saif in an earlier post today, you might want to ask someone at a body shop, or try and google it.

I can see why front side windows R not tinted. Friends son tinted his fronts, can't see a dang out of them at night, and cops s/b here form prtection, not 2 getb shot at. Only solution for n3rd light is to mask, and pleanty of cheap Home Depot plastic drop cloths, or just leave as be, Why not ask a local body shop for their advice, if you want them tinted that bad ?

If you have V2.11, you can go to sync my ride and download, BUT, your nav will not work until you get the new SD card. I had V2.11 in my MKX, and the complete package (update & SD card) were sent to me. Got it this past Thursday, installed in 40 minutes, and all is fine.

YEAH, check out the warranty. If it's not a ford Premium Care, see what you can do to change it. My wife'ws sister had an extended plan on her Five Hundred, but it was not a Ford warranty, it was an after market one, and when she had repairs to be done, 2 times the parts were not covered. One time it was for $900, and the next time it was $1,300 Had it been a Ford Premium care, the parts would have been covered, The warranty she got cost $1,100, plus the money she had to pay for the repairs, it was like throwing $3,300 out the door.

Sorry, guy, just trying to get a paoint across - why 3rd brake lights, when people go and darken them, along with regular brake and taillights, Maybe this should be outlawed, ..........and, oh ye, YOU DON"T HAVE TO SHOUT !

To each his/her own, and whatever floats your boat, but aren't taillights and 3rd brake lights on a vehicle for safety reasons, and SHOULD be highly visible? Sure tinting might look "cool", but if some arsehole behind you is flying down the road, doesn't notice your brake lights because they are tinted, and rear ends you, with serious, if not life threatening injuries, what R U going to do - tint the lights on your wheelchair? Might sound unreal to you, but I work with Family business - Funeral Home, and unfortunately, SHIT DOES HAPPEN !

Yeah, Richy, no smoke up my ass, they (Maplecrest, in Union, NJ) are really good, and the tech Vinny, is, I think, even more tired with this than I am. Will post when resolved - maybe I'll even make a new topic, like 'Liftgate problem resolved' , so others will know what was done. Joe
