  1. I didn't realize the 6F50 was confirmed already. I'm sure there is enough headroom for simple mods.
  2. Yes you can see them in one of the interior shots.
  3. In case it's not obvious by now the 2.7LEB puts out close to 325 lb/ft compared to 285 on the 3.7L so that's quite an upgrade.
  4. Why wouldn't they use the 6F55 trans for the 2.7EB like they do for the 3.5LEB in the Taurus, MKS, flex The 2.7eb is a lot closer to the current 3.5L EB than the 3.7L,
  5. It's all explained in the owner's manual. The reason The reason is to limit buffeting at higher speeds with no windows down.
  6. It's not difficult. Cover the power distribution box with plastic. Don't use a power washer and run the engine until it's dry afterwards.
  7. I thought the album name came from the metadata within the file, not from the folder structure.
  8. Doing fine, thanks. Routine operation but a lengthy recovery period. Of course it doesn't help that she's still wearing a walking cast after having achilles tendon surgery 6 weeks ago. She'll get the cast off Christmas Eve but will need to wear a boot for a few weeks. The worst is behind her and should be downhill from here though. Thank goodness we can both work from home.
  9. The point was there are hundreds of factors that go into such a decision including cost, supply, durability, compatibility, etc. Something changed between 4 years ago and today that made Ford go a different route whether it was different for them to manufacture or it was done to change customer perception. There is no spin here either way. There are pros and cons to both types of screens and just because YOU prefer one over the other doesn't mean it's always a better choice. What if the new one proves to be less durable and more people get cracked screens?
  10. Or they heard all the negative feedback and decided to sacrifice a little realiability for better customer sat. And probably because other mfrs started using them and the price probably came down.
  11. Duh - I found it. Can't believe I didn't see it. And btw - the owner's manual doesn't tell you where it is. Probably because only an idiot couldn't find it.
  12. I would be surprised if that's the case. I know locksmiths can duplicate an existing key but the car still thinks there is only 1 key. Are you able to use both keys to program another key?
  13. Already announced. It's based on QNX which is owned by Blackberry now but it has nothing to do with Blackberry devices. Current Sync and MFT aren't history - they're just replaced with a new version in new vehicles. The old ones will continue to work and hopefully we'll see at least one more round of bug fixes for older sync and MFT.
  14. Only a dealer or a shop with a Ford IDS can do it. Most non-dealer shops don't have an IDS.
  15. I just picked up my wife at the hospital and had to double park. Security asked me to put my flashers on in my 2013 fusion and I couldn't find the button! Back to the OM.
  16. Just curious - why do you use the hazards so often? I dont think we've used them in any of our vehicles in the last decade or two.
  17. That's easy entry. Try moving the seat all the way forward then all the way back then hit the memory button again. That usually works for me.
  18. Where does it mention future functionality? I thought all the features mentioned were day 1?
  19. Nothing in the order guide from what I remember. But there is time to update it. It's possible they're still using MFT especially if they weren't sure the new stuff would be ready. Given the MFT edge fiasco in 2010 I can't blame them for playing it safe with the 2015. It's also possible they're using the new hardware with the old MFT in which case it could be upgraded. I'm sure we'll get more info at the Detroit auto show.
  20. It does appear that MFT upgrade may not be supported but I think we need more details to be released before we know for sure.
