  1. Probably the throttle body. Find a mechanic that does actual diagnostics and doesn't just guess and replace random parts. BTW - your Edge does not have a Turbine.
  2. Unless they screwed up the coast down formula .......
  3. Take out the K&N and you'll still be at 18.5. It's not the filter.........
  4. How can a GPS possibly cause an accident? This is not a safety issue at all - it's an inconvenience at best. Should it work? Of course. But hiring a lawyer and calling it a safety issue is overreacting.
  5. Some Fusion models may have said Premium Recommended if they were advertising the higher power numbers. The current ones say 87 recommended but premium will provide better performance just like the Edge manual.
  6. Probably the sensor in the shifter.
  7. If it is a bad fan/controller you can get a replacement from amazon by Dorman for $150 and replace it yourself with autom8r's excellent instructions. That was my symptom as well - both fans would run at engine startup but one would seize up after a minute or so. It would idle fine without the A/C on and the one fan but turn on the AC and it would overheat.
  8. Ford doesn't control dealers in the US either.
  9. What did they do? Didn't you get a price quote before they started? You probably paid for a lot of "inspections" which aren't necessary. Next time just ask for the oil change or whatever the maintenance guide says you need, which is pretty much just oil and filter changes for the first 60k miles.
  10. Should work. You don't need to use a torque wrench - just make sure it's nice and tight.
  11. Actually the 2.3L in the Mustang is projected to be closer to 350 hp.
  12. I was talking about the 2.3L in the mustang that hasn't been announced yet but I had forgotten the MKC numbers were already released. Mustang will be different since it's a north south configuration with different plumbing and a different tranny. I know the Edge doesn't get the 2.3L - I was using it to extrapolate the 2.7 expected numbers.
  13. I think the 2.3L will end up closer to 275 hp/300 lb/ft and the 2.7L will end up around 330/350.
  14. The front end and dash are straight from the Fusion.
  15. Yes - according to Ford engineers. They've simply chosen not to display it.
  16. My guess is something fell into the ductwork when you changed the filter. You could try dropping the blower motor - it should be right below the filter and only has 3 bolts and one electrical connector.
  17. Yep. Still not sure why they don't do that since they have the info.
  18. Ok - 2015 Edge that doesn't go on sale until 2015.
  19. 2015 MKX is the current model. The new one will be the 2016 model about 6 months after the 2016 Edge.
  20. That will make a big difference. I think you can check the elevation difference in google earth.
  21. I never said you shouldn't do one. Just don't expect more than a few hp and don't expect a mpg improvement. There are plenty of other reasons.
