  1. There should be relays in the power distribution box in the engine bay. Could also be the smart junction box.
  2. Then maybe RFID is the backup system, but if your fob battery gets too weak then you won’t be able to start the vehicle with the fob in your pocket. It will say key not detected and then you have to put it in the special slot that allows the rfid to be read passively. Even Ford says the first thing to do if you get key not detected is to change the battery.
  3. The RFID does work without a battery which is why you can start it with a dead battery but it has to be very close to the transceiver. To work further away it needs the fob battery.
  4. Maybe you should check the date on the posts. US sales listed first then China, Europe, Mexico. 2016 134,588 123,690 9,300 1,844 2017 142,603 108,525 16,000 1,327 2018 134,122 59,892 9,500 898 2019 138,515 32,815 8,644 850 2020 108,886 25,709 3,722 325 2021 85,225 31,091 261
  5. Let the dealer do a fluid swap with the machine using the cooler lines. Gets 97% of the old fluid and runs about $200.
  6. Resetting mpg doesn’t affect DTE - it uses the last 500 or 1000 miles. It also keeps 1-2 gallons in reserve so if you were 10 miles to empty then 15-16 gallons is right for a 18 gallon tank.
  7. Pretty sure it’s welded to the axle.
  8. The tone ring is just inside the rotor.
  9. It was in the works but got killed a few years ago.
  10. for China. Glad it’s not coming here. Yuck. https://www.motor1.com/news/603993/next-generation-ford-edge-china-reveal/
  11. If the bushing isn’t damaged or missing then no work is required. Not sure how easy it is to I spect and/or replace but it can’t be too hard.
  12. Most likely turns off the proximity sensor warnings,
  13. But if you know you want to use I40 and it’s open, then use it. Once you get past the closure it will recalculate the route from there.
  14. Only if the spare already has a compatible sensor
  15. No way that’s all cosmetic. I bet that front corner has to be pulled out at the very least. My advice is to get a body shop estimate and go from there,
  16. Guess would be throttle body but you need the codes to be sure.
  17. You need to replace the fans and co troller together - they come as a unit. Motorcraft, not Dorman.
