I am using this (which is designed for high heat): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007OXK1WI/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have used it for my HID, resistors and what not in the engine bay as well as the crossovers in the panels. Zero issues so far (been in use for over a year). Note: There are many versions of Dual Lock, the above link is for the high temperature version, TB3560, here's some additional info: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Oil-Gas_NA/3M-Oil-and-Gas/oil-and-gas-products/~/3M-Dual-Lock-Reclosable-Fastener-TB3560-250-250-Clear-1-in-x-10-ft-1-Mated-Strip-Bag?N=4294680114+5027015&Nr=AND(hrcy_id%3A469CZ9X2XLgs_70BK3SKZJK_N2RL3FHWVK_GPD0K8BC31gv)&rt=d

I don't have any links in my signature, but a decent list (I think...) nonetheless. I will gladly elaborate on any of my mods that you're interested in (Cellbine did most of them first anyway).

The OEM (stock) bulb is an HIR2 bulb (9012). You wouldn't gain anything by putting another HIR2 bulb in (unless one is burnt out). Since HIDs do not come in "HIR" sizes (well, TRS does have a 9012 bulb), 9005 & 9006 are suitable replacement sizes. -
I should have taken a few but didn't (my bad). But here are some videos and photos from other owners and Dan's originals: http://www.visionarybeta.com/customer-reviews/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/7905-led-strip-retrofit-11-limited-diy/page-4

It was the font selection, not the context that was difficult. -
Aftermarket Exhaust w/Trailer Hitch?
candurin replied to sixponies's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Let me fix that for you.... Easier to read: One of the mods at the top of my list is either the Gibson or Magnaflow exhaust. A little further down the road, I'd like to install a hitch. After doing some research on this forum, I've found a few aftermarket hitch possibilities that won't require cutting the rear bumper and also look pretty good (i.e. not too visible from the rear). However, I have a question about combining these two mods: The OEM exhaust appears to use two mufflers, whereas the two aftermarket kits use one transverse mounted muffler at the bumper. So has anyone installed either the Gibson or Magnaflow kit along with a hitch? Or is it not possible to install the hitch because the muffler's in the way? -

No problem. I spend a lot of time in Laval and you're always patient with my English The 9006 and 9005 bulbs will fit and satisfy high and low. The Edge uses the same bulb for both. it's simply the mechanical shutter that changes from high to low. The shutter function stays the same with HIDs. -
The search function works quite well for such inquiries: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12131-ford-oem-chrome-door-handles/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/7056-door-handle-replacement/

Previously installed. Had them in for 7 months or so. Look brand new with ZERO scratches. I'll get a photo up in a bit.

Take out incandescent bulb, put in LED bulb. Done.

The original versions are brighter (Dan integrated the Philips DayLight 8 LED module into the OEM housing). Mine also include the offset OEM light pipe (2 lights in 1). http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/cpindex.pl?ctn=12824WLEDX1&hlt=Link_ProductInformation&mid=Link_ProductInformation&scy=GB&slg=ENG The originals lack the turn signals. The information and operating modes are still on Dan's page: http://www.daytimebrightlites.com/Daytime_running_lights.html Lastly, the originals were made (in the us!) by Dan himself.

Front License plate holder REMOVAL
candurin replied to Edgieguy's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I don't know if it helps you all or not. But since I just replaced my grilles, I went and took a few photos of the rear of the license plate bracket so that you could see what you are dealing with. Actually, it took me less than 20 minutes to remove and replace my bumper. May be worth it to those of you having trouble drilling out the rivets. -

You can change them out for HIDs. Just grab a 9006 or 9005 sized kit. Most of us have gone with the 9006 but some had an easier time installing 9005 sized bulbs. -
I purchased my emblem on eBay. Just search for ford edge black emblem. Seller was "downatthebuilding" or something like that.

I originally PD'ed my grille but finally decided to just go with the primed black version (I am not going to paint the grille as the black looks good enough on my car). But this should give you an idea:
-
I'm sticking with my PD'ed rims (I'm cheap!). Here's a few photos I just snagged. Washed car a few days ago and wanted to see how my new grills and PD'ed upper grill/trim and black emblem looked in decent sunlight.

You probably have a 2010 or older model year Ford, correct? You can only upgrade v1 Sync to 1.3 via USB. If you wanted to upgrade to v2 Sync (which adds VHR and 911 assist) then you need to go to the dealer (they have to install a new module in the car), this is essentially version 2.0. You can then upgrade via USB to v2.1. Your dealer should only charge $80 or so for this upgrade. On my old Taurus (company car) it only took 30 minutes to install module and 1 hour to update firmware) You can NOT upgrade a v1 Sync vehicle any higher than v2.1 (for reference v3 adds traffic and what not). All of this information pertains to NON Touch versions of Sync.

Looks real good! I'm a huge fan of the weathertech mats. I've got the cargo one in the back and couldn't be happier.

I've got a v1 (with Phillips DayLite module @ 600+ lumens Rebel LEDs) DaytimeBrightLites DRL kit (with most recent Phillips control module - prevents flickering). http://www.daytimebrightlites.com/Daytime_running_lights.html (scroll down to bottom of page, following the v2 information). $150 with free 2-day shipping I also have a Chrome Grill set (Removed from my Edge last week and in excellent condition). Mine includes OEM license plate bracket. $100 with free 2-day shipping Thanks! Note: I'm not home until next week to take photos, but you know what the items look like

They are right. I didn't know you had the Canadian version (doesn't the world rotate around the US? ). No problem, go with the canbus. Really doesn't change anything.
