    Since I have no idea how this is accomplished on the Edge, my shot in the dark would be that the electronics are thinking the trailer is still attached. So I'd check the hitch connections carefully, and the wiring as much as you can (including for shorts/high resistance, etc.). The other item is possible reception of an automatic MFT update. Any other changes noticed?     I am sure Ford worked out a bulk rate for rentals, but yeah, it's hard to get a feel for the how or why of this situation.

    Sounds like another winning dealership to me! Glad it worked out for you, dbomb. The BG service is shop-specific, not Ford-related. Some dealers will provide this service some won't. Consider yourself lucky to have this service available at your dealer

    Certainly ONE solution, better than no solution, but sometimes finding a substitute is difficult if you bough the vehicle for value. If your vehicle is practically new, then I can see ending up even or close to it. If your vehicle is a few years old, like mine, it takes time to locate one in that price range again. Quite a bit of effort and heartache likely involved. So if a recall is issued, fix the problem, please. Don't take the vehicle away from the owner for an indefinite amount of time as a way to weary them into compliance. Now THAT is big corporation/govt tactics with teeth bared and claws out.

    Luckily for you, IF that coil is the only problem, it is the middle one of the 3 right up front. Should be a snap to replace. You MIGHT need a rubber boot if the old one is in bad shape, though, and that part should be available from the dealer. Anyhoo, you should start with pulling codes first to see if any misfires etc are occurring before you get on the parts replacement roulette wheel. If you don't have a reader, any major auto parts store should be able to grab 'em for you.

    Tough situation, dshamer, best you can hope for ATM is the dealership will honor their word to you. So be proactive and keep an eye on the condition of your vehicle. The moment you see any of the symptoms of a major issue in the near future, call it in.

    Welcome to the forum and the Edge family, here's to many miles of smiles! No problems with the exhaust tips here, except for the normal carboning. Recommended to do cleaning with 0000 stainless steel wool pads (commonly available, I got mine from Home Depot) or a clean cloth & Mother's Mag&Aluminum Polish, and protect the finish with Collinite Metal Wax or similar product. Mobil 1 5W20 should work fine, the Ford OEM filter is still a great value and would recommend unless going for an extended OC interval, in which case you have to get an appropriate filter from Mobil 1/Amsoil/etc.
