  1. There is no programming for the LED signature lights. They are hardwired and trip with RUN position. You need to pull the fuse which is Fuse 20 in the under the hood fuse block. The SM indicates this fuse also send power to the headlamp assemblies and the headlamp switch.
  2. Send me a PM with your VIN and I can look at some details on it.
  3. BTW there was no apology or anything. Just send them back where you got them they said. A simple sorry we made a mistake would have been nice.
  4. Don't order the Bosch rotors. They say part # 20010394 is for the 16 Edge....well the bolt pattern is wrong and the diameter is too big. Waiting for a call back from Bosch to get it correct hopefully. If I would have recalled when I was researching the part # it said it fit the Taurus too....from experience I know the Taurus and Edge have different bolt patterns but of course at the time it didn't register in my mind. Got a call back...mistake in their application catalog. They don't make any that fit. NICE!!!
  5. Are you running the latest software for the SYNC system?
  6. Unless you have the SONY audio system you don't have HD radio.
  7. I went ahead and ordered Bosch QuietCast™ Premium Disc Brake Rotors
  8. Covered up to 12 months/18,000 miles on a 2016 but OEM are junk and will just do the same so not going to go that route. I need to change the oil anyway so while I have it lifted I'll do the rotors too.
  9. The rear rotors on my 16 Sport are getting grooves in them. While I could get them replaced under warranty yet it has been my experience that OEM replacements would just do the same thing. Who has replaced their rear rotors on a 15+ and not had any issues with grooves or uneven wear? Basically looking for someone with the same experience to chime in and let me know what rear rotors are not going to fall victim to the same type of wear. I don't need drilled/slotted, just normal ones are fine. Thanks
  10. You may wish to check out the Rostra BT kit: 250-7504-FD4
  11. 2014 is 80 bit. I would suggest not purchasing a car from any dealer without two fully working keys as they came from the factory. Also make sure those are the only ones programmed to the vehicle. All too often dealers sell vehicles with only one key and there is another fully functional one floating around.
  12. What you call the SJB is actually the BCM...body control module. Since you have IA they skipped a step...the Master Code for IA vehicles gets transferred from the BCM to the RFA (Remote Function Actuator ). They failed to follow all the instructions for proper replacement of the BCM. It is all covered in the service manual.
  13. Do you have regular keys and if you do did they need all of your keys for programming? If you have IA then if they did replace the BCM then forgot a step that transfers the BCM keycode to the RFA module which could explain why the old code works.
  14. They left the old one in it. They screwed you. Edit - guess before I get that strong...does the new code on the card work? If it does, erase all the "user" codes and then see which code still works. New code...good to go. Old code...then the above it true.
  15. UPDATED – 4/27/17 TO MY KNOWLEDGE FORD HAS RELEASED VERSION 2.2 TO ALL FORD VEHICLES. PLEASE CHECK THE FORD OWNER SITE FOR YOUR UPDATE (http://owner.ford.com/) , LET IT UPDATE VIA WIFI OR VISIT YOUR DEALER. I wanted to get something written up for those 16+ SYNC3 owners to have some quick reference to. In regards to CarPlay and Android Auto…YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PHONE CONNECTED VIA USB. SYNC 3 Version Releases Version 1.0 - Initial Release Version - Does not contain Android Auto/CarPlay Version 1.1 – Early update for Version 1.0 to correct minor bug issues Version 2.0 - Only available on late build models of the 2016s (roughly July 2016). Version 2.0 is the first build to contain Android Auto and CarPlay. This is also standard on early build 2017 models. Please note if you have a 2016 model you will need a new CarPlay compliant USB hub to utilize CarPlay. No way around it. Version 2.2 build 16280 – This was initially released as an update for some 2016 Lincoln models in Dec. 2016. In Feb. 2017 I noticed that most Fords/Lincolns were being shipped from the factory with 2.2 in them. Version 2.2 does contain CarPlay/Android Auto. This has been referred to as hacked, leaked, etc. This is a legitimate release. It just wasn’t released for all models. Version 2.2 build 17011 – This is the widely released update for SYNC3 (as of late April 2017). This is what will be available for your vehicle via the owner site/WIFI update/Dealer update if your vehicle qualifies for it. THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE INSTALLING. You are able to check your version by going into the General icon and then ABOUT menu item. The version is listed at the top and not to be confused with gracenote or navigation version. If installing by USB it seems SYNC3 is very picky with what type of USB flash drive is used. It is hit or miss as to if the system will like your USB flash drive. My suggestion is if the installation fails do a master reset and use a different USB flash drive. REMEMBER FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE OWNER SITE FOR USB INSTALLATION. If further information pertaining to this topic is received I will attempt to update this original thread. I would like to ask that opinions about Apple versus Android be kept out of this and the keep the topic on task. LIST OF CONFIRMED CARPLAY COMPLIANT USB HUBS THAT FIT 2016 EDGE: GJ7Z-19A387-B (WHITE BACKLIGHTING) via JMR061 HC3Z-19A387-B (BLUE BACKLIGHTING) via KOMANDREW. Should you have V2.2 build 16280 installed and you feel it necessary to upgrade to V2.2 build 17011 get your hands on either the nav or non nav build 17011 update. Change the AUTOINSTALL File so it looks like the following. You can open it and modify it in NOTEPAD. ; Gen 3 - Assembly Update [sYNCGen3.0_ALL] Item1 = HN1T-14G381-SA Open1 = SyncMyRide\HN1T-14G381-SA.tar.gz Options = AutoInstall
  16. Can someone who has the tools to check....see if the heated steering wheel module shows up on a network test for a 16 Edge that has the heated steering wheel. Nothing is detecting a HSWM for me but yet it works. Thanks Jason Well i got the answer seems with adaptive steering there is no HSWM....its built into the SECM.
  17. Yes it has been officially released. The only difference over the December release is a slightly different build of the main operating system. It is reported it still contains issues people complained of with the early build release though so who knows what was "fixed" in it. If you wish to update from the early release to the late release get your hands on the download and modify the autoinstall file to look like this: ; Gen 3 - Assembly Update [sYNCGen3.0_ALL] Item1 = HN1T-14G381-SA Open1 = SyncMyRide\HN1T-14G381-SA.tar.gz Options = Delay,AutoInstall This will update only the operating system file.
  18. I just checked my mileage. I am just shy of 12000 miles and lowest has been 14.09 and highest 25.5 with an overall average of 21.01. That is a 16 Sport.
  19. It was removed because someone at Ford screwed up the DL and was using non nav for nav and thus people with nav were losing it and having to go to the dealer to get it back. So instead of just fixing it they shut it down and it has been down since. It used to be one end user download for both but then they separated them (nav versus non-nav) and this evidently confused the people setting up the user downloads on the ford owner site.
  20. By going back in your posts you have had your 17 over 2 months now with only 950 miles on it? This is just a guess but if you take mostly short trips in the city with the vehicle you will get horrendous gas mileage. I have never seen a vehicle that gets rated city mileage with short trips. Take it on a highway road trip. I typically get over the rate HWY mileage on my 16 Sport when I travel with it.
  21. I just pulled my Ford ones out. On 15+ Edge you have to grind them to get them to fit in the mirror assembly properly and after a while the logo part of it burns out. I would cancel the order if I were you. Edit - just caught that you installed them (ie you have them already). Lots of complaints that within a few months the logo portion will go bad.
  22. BTW 2.2 is now the version being loaded into 2017 models leaving the assembly line.
  23. TSB 16-2085 - Effective Dec 2 2016 2015-2016 Edge/2016 MKX - Left Rear Seat Backrest Does Not Fold Down When Using The Second Row Seat Control Switch - Built On Or Before 9-Sep-2016
