Backup Camera Replacement
jmr061 replied to ugoleftillgorite's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I just pulled up some pics of BT4Z-19G490-B and BT4T-19G490-AD is in fact the engineering #...actually they are up to at least AF for a suffix on the engineering part #. Are you sure it is an OEM item?- 26 replies

Backup Camera Replacement
jmr061 replied to ugoleftillgorite's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
According to Ford...BT4Z-19G490-B is the correct part # for the 12 Edge camera. BT4T-19G490-AD may be an engineering #. Is that on the box?- 26 replies

2011 Edge SEL APIM Dead - Part question
jmr061 replied to Mrgumby80's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I took the time to track down a replacement APIM for you that is an exact match and requires no programming and yet you are not going to get it? -

Anyone installed 3.0 on an Lincoln yet?
jmr061 replied to Fastfwd75's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
It is very possible for Ford to write something specific like that. Heck with how pissed they are about people pulling files off the IVSU server it would be pretty funny of them to intentionally put one out there that will kill your system after say 60 days....let people think they got 3.0 or 3.2 and its running all slick and then it hits a certain date and sorry your APIM is no corrupt or make it so you can't do further updates, etc. They could really have fun with unofficial releases. -
Then no it won't count as a key unless it had some process to learn a key which I don't think those do?

I did not find any such bulletin listed on the 16 Edge in the ford dealer access.

What remote start did you install?

Adding Remote Access to 2013 edge xlt
jmr061 replied to expoman55's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Your dealer is correct in that the Edge is supposed to have a supplemental antenna plugged into the TPMS receiver. IDS (the dealer software) and the vehicle are smart enough to know if this has been installed and will not enable remote start without it. -
@Mirage52...In the mean time disconnect the battery (negative) terminal for a few minutes to see if that clears the issue. Did I read that right...you have a 13 with 5000 miles on it?

Can I talk to Sync when Android Auto is running?
jmr061 replied to ben senise's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Not that I know of. When you switch to Android Auto or Carplay voice control of SYNC is lost until you switch back to SYNC. -

2017 Heated / Cooled seats TSB?
jmr061 replied to blockisle9's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Not true...its a TED unit that controls both. If you had access to the service manual you would be able to see for yourself. -
Exactly...call them out on it. There is no TSB for grabby brakes...it is an SSM. SSM nor TSBs show up on your owner account, only recalls do. If they replaced something it would certainly be indicated on the repair order. SSM 45857 - 2015-2016 Edge And 2016 Lincoln MKX - Overly Sensitive Brake Application At LowSpeed And/Or In Cold/Wet Conditions - Built On Or Before 3/23/2016 Some 2015-2016 Edge and 2016 Lincoln MKX vehicles built on or before 3/23/2016 may exhibit overly sensitive brake applications. This will typically occur at low speed and/or in cold/wet conditions. To correct the condition, install an updated brake booster with part number F2GZ-2005-F (only 2.0L GTDI with 17” rotors)or F2GZ-2005-E (all except 2.0L GTDI with 17” rotors). Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 206-07. For claiming, use causal part 2005 and applicable labor operation(s) in the Service Labor Time Standard (SLTS) Section 2. Here they are actually: https://accessories.ford.com/interior/floor-mats/kit-floor-contour-mat-11432.html Much better coverage.

My understanding is the all weather mats were redesigned and "better" for MY 17 and up. The ones for the 15/16 are useless. Any pics of the newer ones by chance to compare to what a weathertech looks like?

SYNC3 V2.3 Official Release is Available
jmr061 replied to jmr061's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Numerous owners of non-nav systems have reported the Mem_err03 to ford. Ford is aware of it and I hope they are working on a fix. I don't think they do much testing before they release this stuff which is unfortunate. -
2017 Heated / Cooled seats TSB?
jmr061 replied to blockisle9's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I was able to check and the 17 has no official seat heating/cooling bulletins. The 16 has 2 of them.
