  1. Might be a bit easier to change the oil pan on yours. On the 15+Sport, you have to remove the front sub frame.
  2. The 17s do not have removable filters like the 13. The seat is a redesign and sucks for cooling. Your 17 may fall under a TSB otherwise there is a guy that sells a kit to make them work better. Ford refuses to do anything to improve them. I do not endorse or have this product...just passing it on http://seatguru.wixsite.com/fordseatfix
  3. I thought this topic was covered before and I found it...here is the service manual info on ANC for the 15+ ANC - 2.7L Only ANC is an audio system feature that eliminates a certain range of low frequency engine noise within the passenger compartment typically induced under wide open throttle or heavy part-throttle conditions. The system uses 3 microphones, a DACMC (contained within the ACM), and the audio system speakers. The DACMC determines the noise frequency to be canceled based upon engine rotation speed data, engine torque data, and accelerator pedal position data from the PCM, as well as microphone input signals. The ANC microphones are located in the headliner and monitor the engine noise resonating in the passenger compartment. The microphones transmit this noise as analog signals to the DACMC (contained within the ACM), where they are converted into digital signals by the integrated analog/digital converter. The digital signals are processed and an inverted phase sound wave with the same amplitude as the original sound is created. This new sound is converted into an analog audio signal, transmitted to the DACMC internal tone generator, and output by the ACM to the audio DSP module as fluctuating AC voltage. The audio DSP module sends the signal to the LHF door speaker, RHF door speaker, and subwoofer speaker as fluctuating ACvoltage.
  4. There is no user setting available. I don't have access to the service manual right now but it should be the 15 Sport...other ecoboost engines may be included but until I have access to the service manual I can't verify that.
  5. The Edge has what is called ANC. It is meant to keep the cabin quiet. There is no engine noise piped into the vehicle. The F150 3.5 ecoboost is an example of a vehicle that has ENE which is enhanced engine sound being simulated by the audio system. Turning off ANC in the Edge will actually make the cabin louder inside.
  6. I had a leak, they replaced the oil pan a few months ago....16 Sport 2.7L. Its leaking again!!.
  7. It should be wired into the vehicle. To use it with the viper it wouldn't have to be enabled unless they are using the canbus signal? If its just hardwired just tap into near the BCM...however the ground signal may be opposite what the VIPER is looking for so may need to flip that with a relay or something unless the input sense is programmable on the VIPER.
  8. The official release of 2.3 is out for non-nav units now. Wi-Fi updates have been reported to work by numerous people. Updating via Wi-fi takes place in background. Just give it time if you choose to do it that way. Ford has said it could take weeks to do it that way. If you need it now, then do the usb method.
  9. Fordpass and the SYNC3 "VHR" worked fine for me when I tested it out a while back. You have to have FordPass app on your phone, plug your phone in via USB and run the app on your phone. I believe there is also some permission settings under the mobile apps setting on SYNC3 that also have to be set up. Most people have found this to be a waste of time to set all of this up.
  10. V3.0 is not official. It was downloaded in pieces from the Ford servers and an install package put together based upon prior update packages and current vehicles leaving the factory with 3.0. The official 2.3 release shows Ford now has specific files for the APIM version in the vehicle. Using an unofficial release could be missing files or installing files that don't belong in your APIM. Its a use at your own risk update.
  11. It may be possible the console was taken apart and the wiring connectors not reconnected properly.
  12. While I haven't checked non nav systems yet, the official release of V2.3 for SYNC3 appears to be available on the owners.ford.com website. You may wish to check via WIFI to see if that part of it has been released yet.
  13. The answer is no one knows. For the NA market nothing has been announced. The why-update link above is not for the NA market. Even the owner's of legit nav sync3 equipped vehicles are in the dark. Ford states they are working on it but nothing more than that.
  14. sounds like the tmps receiver is missing or defective
  15. They need to read the vehicle for DTCs. It sounds like they are incompetent. The light is on. The system has a malfunction. First thing is to check for DTCs.
  16. That is your issue. You need to get that corrected. They use the same receiver.
  17. Travel Link is an additional paid service through Sirius. It won't work without paying for it.
  18. I am assuming you are referring to my post about the map updates. Maps are not supplied by the same map company world wide. Different markets have different sources. This is the link for contacting customer service on that site: https://why-update-ford.azurewebsites.net/customer_care_en.html Notice no USA/Canada/Mexico or Europe etc. Looks like that is for smaller, "less popular" markets.
  19. You are all being misled. That place doesn't do the map updates for North America.
  20. So it entered programming mode but pressing a button on either fob didn't make the vehicle respond by cycling the door locks? Is the TPMS light on by chance?
  21. To program the fob portion of it you will need to do the key on/off 8 times trick. http://www.keyfobprogram.com/ford-keyless-remote-key-fob-programming-instructions-1/
  22. So this is an aftermarket IKT? Key with fob built into it? If so those usually take two programming steps. The one to start the car and the one to program the fob portion of it. Did it come with instructions?
  23. If you are under your bumper to bumper yet then it should be. The best contact for warranty questions would be your dealer or refer to warranty documentation.
