  1. have you let the vehicle sit, shut down for at least 5 minutes and then restarted it?
  2. Can you be more specific than it is gone? Is the nav icon missing, is the nav map area missing, is the nav map area blank and say loading or?
  3. I ended up using these are they are supposed to be brighter: CREE LED Miniature 80W 7440 T20 Amber Orange Two Bulbs Replacement Light JDM That is currently what I am running and have been for over a year now. I have no issues with them. They operate just as they should.
  4. You probably aren't aware of this but I have access to the Ford service guides for all vehicles. The 17 Edge 2.0 does have a transmission cooler for the trailer tow package which the non tow doesn't have. The 14 Escape shows all 2.0's have a transmission cooler that has a valve that appears to bypass it to allow the transmission to warm up faster and then open to utilize the cooler. Edit - Just looked up the pricing for the trans cooler parts .... retail of 289.45.
  5. This thinking carries not weight...for instance I often get asked if SYNC can be added to police interceptor models that were purchased without it. The sticker price for adding SYNC is $295 or so last I checked. I tell people it can't be added for the main reason that the entire vehicle dash has to be removed and harnesses replaced. I looked into the parts needed to upgrade once, it was well over $1000 price range but yet its only $295 if you order it with it. This includes things that have to be replaced and hardware that has to be added.
  6. Published specs for trailer tow: https://www.ford.com/resources/ford/general/pdf/towingguides/17RV&TT_Ford_Edge_Sep7.pdf
  7. I normally don't post replies like this however this seems to be a common theme throughout all forums. Quit arguing about if updates should be free or not. Ford doesn't care about your opinion on a forum. If you want to complain...call them up or post your frustration on their social media. I personally can't stand getting notifications of replies to a thread only to find out it's people bitching back and forth about maps being free or not, what's better, factory nav or google maps and all that stuff. If that's what you want to do then start a new thread dedicated to that. People start threads to cover a particular topic...keep it on topic. This topic started off with the OP asking about map updates for his SYNC3 system and he is located in North America. That was in Sept of 17...map updates have finally been released in NA for SYNC3 and you have to pay for them and get them from a Ford parts dealer. It is considered an accessory item. Sorry if I offended anyone...just feel it needs to be said.
  8. Did they ask or you inform them of what country you are in?
  9. SSM 47049 - 2018 Various Vehicles - SYNC 3 - SYNC WiFi Update Message Displayed Every Key Cycle Some 2018 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 and a 6, 8, or 10 inchscreen may show a pop up message every key cycle that states "SYNC can check for updates when connected to a WiFi network". To remove the inconvenience of the pop up the customer can either connect to a trusted WiFi network to complete theset up process or turn off WiFi in the WiFi settings located under the Settingsmenu. Adjusting the setting for the customer is not a warrantable defect.
  10. It can take 10 mins or a bit more before the update actually begins.
  11. Also are you sure its JL3T you are seeing for 3.0 and not JR3T?
  12. Check your owner site to see if you have an update pending. Not all vehicles may have it yet.
  13. Its an order-able part...you get a usb flash drive specific to your vehicle and you get to spend 70 minutes letting it update.
  14. Well supposedly map updates are out for SYNC3. Must be ordered through you dealer and requires your VIN and APIM serial #. Cost is around $150 and you get version 1.16...yup maps from 2016...what an upgrade. Its brand new so don't be surprised if your dealer is in the dark yet. I would imagine Ford pushed out some info on it to the dealers.
  15. Same issue with mine, replaced with non oem and haven't had a problem.
  16. 3.0 is only available on factory units for 2018 models. That APIM is a redesign. While there are bootlegged 3.0 version floating around there no one knows the proper way to install 3.0 on a 2016 or 2017 APIM. Ford surprised those bootlegging 2.3 when it released different files for 2016 and 2017 APIMS. Just be patient. I do agree Ford drags their feet way too much. And yes waze has to release a version that works with 3.0....3.0 doesn't magically make the existing versions work with APP LINK.
  17. Well its been replaced...the work order references a TSB (no #) but I can find no such existing TSB for oil pan on the 15 or 16 Edge.
  18. Those are not fog lamps. The NA (north american) Edge is not available with fog lamps.
  19. There is nothing to fix. That is how it is supposed to be on that specific vehicle.
  20. Sounds like a dealer visit is in order. The HVAC system or FCIM may need a calibration (firmware) update.
