  1. 8 ratings with 1 review on Amazon. All ratings were 5 out of 5 stars. Problem with TireRack and Amazon ratings are ratings were done when the tires were new. I prefer reviews on tires with 5k on them. Not possible on new models however. Pirelli has a good reputation. I run Scorpions on both my cars. No complaints with several thousand miles each.
  2. P Need to post a picture of the car with Cash at the steering wheel. LOL
  3. My manual recommends placing the liftgate in manual mode, then it can be manually opened or closed. I have closed it manually whole still in auto mode, without problems.
  4. Lots of YouTube videos on repairing dents. Methods, materials, fillers, etc.
  5. Don't they recommend applying grease to the guide pins on these brakes?
  6. Inasmuch as this showed up after a transmission fluid change, one thing that comes to mind is a low transmission fluid level. Low fluid causes a feeling that the car is in neutral, as there's insufficient fluid to drive the vehicle under certain road conditions. Then corrects when fluid replenishes. Easy enough to check (and correct if found).
  7. Transmission speed sensor or harness, is about the only thing that I can think of that would be common to both systems.
  8. Just use your cell phone. Not as convenient but who doesn't always have a cell on them?
  9. There are options to do this, but all of them are aftermarket. Here's an example of one company that offers it: https://www.bestcaraudio.com/can-i-add-keyless-entry-to-my-car/#:~:text=Your local mobile enhancement retailer, integrated with a remote system.
  10. Well they replaced the passenger seat bottom TED unit. Wife used the cooling function this weekend. Stayed on 30 seconds and shut off. No heat, no cool. Same thing I took it for last week. Called 1st thing Tuesday morning and got it in Wed. They were able to work it in today and found the passenger seatback TED has failed. Another $800 (but still covered by extended warranty). Parts will be in next week. (Ya gotta love technology). At least it's gonna get fixed and that's the only thing wrong with the car. Need to get it detailed this year. Overdo for a good clay bar and polishing.
  11. Makes ya wonder what's lurking 'inside' da car. ? ? daaa ? da ? dum ? dum
  12. Can't say if it's the same for Sync 3, on Sync 1 with usb connected: press sync, say "user device" then say "shuffle".
  13. Took my 09 mkx in to dealer on Wednesday, for a no-heat/cool on passenger seat. Mechanic found the TED unit failed. Around $850. Covered by PremiumCare, no cost. On Thursday they replaced the TED, pumped out the refrigerant, replaced all three Schrader valves, put in dye and refilled. No cost, covered by PremiumCare. Had them do a full 172 point inspection. Requires a special diagnostic technician. (Same inspection they do for Ford Certified used cars). $150. Checked everything and found all kinds of problems. Had to order parts so kept car overnight. (Told them to find everything thar needs repair, wanted to have everything repaired before my PremiumCare runs out in June). Friday, changed transmission fluid, $194, drained coolant, full flush with cleaner and flush with distilled water and refill with coolant. $190. (Mostly labor). Replaced power steering hose, and some other p/s parts. No charge. Replace left and right tie rod ends. No charge. Car hand washed and sent back to re-clean interior (WeatherTech floor mats weren't cleaned completely). No charge. Car drives like new. No thump-thump when I drive over rough pavement. Nice and quiet, smooth, tight. Passenger seat heats quickly and can hear seat fan running again. A/C ice cold. Think they told me they put a little over $2800 on the warranty. (Already had the PTU replaced under warranty, was hoping the water pump wound need replacing under warranty before it ran out). Only thing I forgot was to have a PTU drain and fill, but haven't put 30k on new unit yet, so should be ok. Car has 132k miles.
  14. Not listed, but It's covered. (Not exempted). I've used my premiumcare for things like seat lumbar replacment (both seats). Not listed but still covered. In-fact I just used it this week and they told me that the bill was just over $2800.
  15. This video may help.
  16. Seems logical that the knob just pressed on, but I'm not sure with this panel. If I were you, I'd pop the consul cover off the dash and remove the screws on the cover on the back. Here's a link to an ebay auction showing the back of the consul part. (Pix 2 of 8). (You will probably remove the cover to wrap anyway.) https://www.ebay.com/itm/373754208830?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=KJIb5MelRC-&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=Snv36mbbRk2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  17. I'm taking my MKX in on Wednesday to get the passenger seat TED replaced and have the a/c system serviced (three new Schrader valves, pump down to test vacuum then recharge). The TED is covered by extended warranty, hoping the a/c is under $200. Was thinking about tbe $400 quote. Did she have front and rear A/C? These cars are a lot more expensive to service and do take a lot more refrigerant.
  18. Never had a complaint in my MKX with THX. In all of the loaners the dealer gave me, had really bad sound systems.
  19. Felt the same way. Local garage couldn't get gold anymore and wanted to switch me over to yellow. I challenged and demanded Ford Engineering to state in writing that it wad ok. Got a response in writing from Ford regional manager stating Ford backed the use of yellow after flush. Dealer said other products were discontinued and all they use id yelllow. Foe my own knowledge I put a label (labelmaker) on the reservoir with note of using yellow and date switched. (Also label air filter date and cabin filter date.)
  20. My dealer no longer stocks any coolant than the new yellow. I had my system flushed and refilled with yellow (original was gold). Here's the Form memo explaining it all
