    Coolant loss

The information i have. Only shows one. (See attached)WEEP HOLE.pdf BTW, are you still running GOLD coolant in your Gen 1? Ford strongly recommends changing to green as soon as possible as gold was found to not offer sufficient protection. Dealer told me it could cause the heater core to leak due to corrosion and you wouldn't notice as the loss would leak out of the HVAC enclosure under the car. They have a very detailed and specific requirements for the change, flushes, part numbers, etc. And at least one part (a bypass tube) must be changed as it will fail when switching over to green. (Internally painted).
  3. I would guess then, that the only other way an engine can lose oil is by blowing out when driving (that is, when pressure is high). There should be an oil residue where the leak is occuring.

    Coolant loss

Its most likely the water pump failing. As you have already checked the oil and its not being watered-down, it may bw failing through the inner o-ring. (There are two o-rings, an inner and an outer). There is a weep hole on the top of the engine were the leak is allowed to exit the engine so you can determine if the pump is failing. Heres a video from MACTFORDEDGE showing where the weep hole is located. If its leaking, it will cost in the neighborhood of $1800 for the repair (if you currently dont have an extended warranty) and while your in there, replace the chain & guides as well. Its never going to get better and if it fails through the bearing, will leak into the oil, killing the lubrication of the engine. Best to get it fixed as soon as you can. BTW, you can get a Ford Credit Card right at the service desk and get a year to pay for the repair with no interest. (OPM)!
  5. Any burning oil in the exhaust? (Blue exhause). And oil puddles under the engine when it sits? (Wondering if its burning it or leaking it)? Although I imagine this is a silly question, but have you checked the oil filter to see if it's on tight? Normal oil consumption for a new engine is around 1/2 quart between oil changes.
  6. One available on Ebay. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F192688298282
  7. Q. Were you EVER able to stsrt it from 50 ft. away? If not, suspect bad antenna.
  8. Been reported before in the gen one, traced to a faulty speed sensor. (Nothing concerning both coming on together). http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/3120-abs-traction-control-warning-lamps-07-edge/ How old is your battery?
  9. They have new ones here https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts-list/2013-ford-edge/body-mouldings.html but they run nearly a grand (for the sport). Ouch!
  10. Not certain if this is what your looking for or not. $115. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F282975542032
  11. Plugs should be changec per the owner's manual. 90k max.
  12. Thats seems about right. The EPA for your xar is 22 mpg combined.
  13. Are you saying that the ABS module caused mushy, low peddle brake problems?
  14. Ahhhh, yes, but did he say which year?
  15. No experience, if you Google most have been satisfied with their service.
  16. Dont know, maybe the screw drive runs for a specific amount of time. It's the cylindars that lift the hatch to the full up position and hold it there. I hit my head once, cussed at it and learned to duck after that. Hit me once, shame on you. Hit me twice, shame on me.
  17. Because you describe this as "pin hole rust spots" and its a light colored car, it sounds like "rail dust". Small metal particals that become embedded into the clear cost and rust. Heres a website that discusses how one can go about removing fhe particles. http://www.carwash.com/when-sparks-fly/
  18. The screw drive only starts the lift process. The lift cylindars continue the lift to the full up position. If tbe hatch doesnt open fully, its the lift cylindars at fault. My 09 mkx has original cylinders and also sags about a couple of inches. No biggie afaic.
  19. It's set to pop up at selected milage intervals. If you want to turn it off (as others have said, it's been disabled on Ford's end), do the following: 1. Press the PHONE hard button on the navigation system. 2. Select the Settings tab on the touchscreen. 3. Press Advanced. 4. Select Vehicle Health Report. 5. Select Automatic Reports. 6. Select "automatic reports off".
