Frank thanks for the update. Keep us posted on #2 with your test. -
2016 Fog Lights
WingNut replied to Colt's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Those look like China's bezel with LED installed. We need the Bezel part # and the Fog part #. The Fog light may require a bracket too. Then any special wiring to do the conversion. -

May sound strange, but I like (what looks like) the "AWD" emblem on the lower side of that model shown above. -
I was able to just push those plastic pieces to the side and give it a tug. Popped right up.

Thanks for the update. Just another thing to add to the list for my dealer visit.

I appreciate any updates you'll have. If you hit a dead end, I'll make sure to get mine in ASAP to see if I have better luck.

Rattle drive me crazy! Edge Sport 2015
WingNut replied to Frank Drebin's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
I'll give it a look today and see if I can find anything loose. But I feel it is coming directly from the backseat. -

Updates? Backseat rattle is starting to get annoying. -
Tail light Condensation

I handwash my car so I don't see this often. I did see it yesterday and I think it was because I used high pressure before the handwash to loosen some dirt. By the time I was done with wash, it had gone away. I was in the full sun. But it wasn't as nearly as 'bad' as yours. Just a few small spots. Bossross.....How long does it take to go away? Was this after going through a high pressure car wash? Are you seeing and moisture buildup (actual water drops) inside the lens? -
No update. Still haven't gone in to see what the issue is.

Just Picked up a 2015 Edge Sport AWD
WingNut replied to Jason Delshad's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
And at this point it doesn't matter. You signed for the lease. You drove it off the lot. Nothing can change at this point. You now have to abide by the contract so it won't help to have buyers remorse. Enjoy the vehicle. -
Just Picked up a 2015 Edge Sport AWD
WingNut replied to Jason Delshad's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
When shopping a lease, it is different than shopping to buy a car. There are a lot more factors in play. Agreed upon price of the vehicle (this is where you always start before even talking about if you'll lease or buy), residual value (which will be provided by the dealer and depends on length or lease and miles you plan on leasing it for), financing fee (APR....this is where your credit comes in to play). A good lease is when you have a low cap cost (vehicle price - rebates - down payment + dealer fees) and a high residual. So if you didn't negotiate a good price on the vehicle and your credit drove up that APR, then your deal may not be as sweet as others. I'd have to see the actual numbers to make an opinion. I was lucky to get my '15 Sport with Z-Plan. And my credit is good. -
FWD with good winter tires > AWD with crap tires.
-
I agree about the filter being up top. I like being able to loosen it, let it drain, and then pull it off without any mess at all. That isn't as easy underneath the car depending on how the filter is situated.
-
If you do a search, you'll see some posts about people driving their earlier model Edges ('14 and below) in snow with their impressions. Some say their FWD drives in any conditions. If I were you, I'd base my choice off of personal experience. If you have driven an AWD in the past with no issues, stick to it. If you have driven a FWD SUV with no issues, then stick with it. 80+ Inches and hills.....I'd spring for the AWD everyday. Cheap insurance.

I saw that too. If it weren't for my lack of patience, I would have waited for the Penzoil. The prices on Amazon were good but had a delayed delivery date. I went with Mobil 1 this time. Next time I'll go with Penzoil Ultra.

FWD with Snow Tires would be fine in an area like mine. We average around 22 inches of snowfall a year. For five years I daily drove a Mustang GT without incident (though scary at times which pushed me to the Edge). AWD will come in handy if I'm driving on some really icy/slick roads. I grew up in Michigan so FWD in snow is what I knew for many years. Everything I read is that it all depends on the tire. FWD with good tires and you'll be fine. I have AWD on my Sport but only because the one I wanted had AWD. I was more interested in certain colors and options than FWD vs. AWD.

The rattle under the car came right away. Fixed that. The back seat rattle showed up around 4k miles.

'15 Sport AWD 4300 Miles + Nice power. + Quiet Interior + Plenty of Room + Beautiful Interior + Plenty of Options - Rattles. They are popping up more and more on the interior. - Plastics. The plastics on the exterior don't seem to fit as they should. I have leaned up against the car and hear plastic groaning sounds from some pieces. Plastic pieces along the bottom of the door clicking against other pieces. Overall I am happy with the Edge. For $40k+, would expect a little more refinement when it comes to rattles, squeeks, etc.

Heated and Cooled Seats
WingNut replied to Wedgeamatic's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
It isn't like they missed this given the fact they had issues with the F-150s seats (same design). It is just a matter of "Welp cross your fingers cause we need this option in the Edge" -
My front tires were up on ramps. You could get to the plug without ramps but it is very, very tight.
-
I saw that post on the F150 site prior to doing my oil change hence why I was somewhat prepared for the gushing. I actually took the 'drain' plug off my oil catch pan to allow for oil to enter the catch pan faster. If I didn't do that, I would have had an overflow issue. Next time I'm going to use a bucket to catch the oil unless I can find a way to limit the flow coming from the oil pan drain.
-
The drain plug isn't threaded like a Fumoto valve or "normal" drain plug. Is is plastic: Not sure about inside of casing that would serve as plunger. When you pull the cartridge out, all that is left is the casing and that long plastic rod in the middle with the small o-ring at the end.
