Post some pictures so we can see what the damage looks like. There may be a good chance you can grab some touch up paint and do a decent job. My guess is whoever is looking at the vehicle, is going to do a quick once over on the paint and wheels. Obvious stuff will be marked.......but obvious stuff usually leads them to look closer. If they don't have a reason to look closer, you are good. So if you can keep from making them look like a sore thumb, they'll probably overlook the wheels all together. $200/corner is up there in price if you do all 4. The mobile guy near me was around $200 but $600 for all 3. And he made it look brand news.

Love how the drain plug can be taken out without a wrench. I was reading other forums that talk about the 2.7L oil change and said the oil comes out pretty fast while draining so be prepared.

Are you leasing/buying another Ford at the time of turn in? If so, they won't hassle you. Some dealers do the inspections themselves. Others put them in a lot and have a 3rd party handle everything.
-
LOL pretty much this. I believe you can access the oil filter from the top. I am due for an oil change myself.

I love opti-seal. Did you apply the OPC yourself?

I'd try a less aggressive polish before jumping in to a compound. I'd save a compound as a last ditch effort.

A hose popping off that wasn't tightened enough is not a bad problem to have. Easy fix.

2015 Edge Sport Towing

Throw the bike on a roof rack? -
1. I have noticed this sound from the start. 2. Drives the same. It is not sluggish at all and the MPGs seem to be in line with everyone else. Threw it in "Sport" mode this morning and it gets up and goes like it should LOL I didn't drive much this weekend so I didn't have time to check it out. When I did drive, I didn't hear it. So it seems to be intermittent

Towing / Luggage Rack questions

My setup is the Yakima Q Towers. $270 for everything. If you price it on Yakima's site, it is closer to $300. But it gave me a list of all the parts, so I just grabbed them off Amazon for cheaper -

Nice and Clean. I like it -
Definitely not the injectors because I have seen that "issue" on my Mustang (5.0) and my Ex's IS350. That is more of a clicking sound. This is more of a sputtering sound that sounds like air escaping from somewhere. I haven't crawled under to see exactly the location of the noise. I'll try to locate the source this weekend.
-
Yup. And then I call my local tire place and have them match the prices.
-
I'll have to pay closer attention. I just notice it when I start it and let it idle before taking off.
-
When i start the Edge a lot of times I hear a sputtering sound. Like air is escaping somewhere. This is my first Ecoboost engine so I wasn't sure if this was 'normal'. You hear it outside while idle after starting. Below is a video I took. Due to being so close to the vehicle, it really magnifies the noise.

That is very nice. I'd love that paint/wheel combo.

Driver floor is SOAKING WET
WingNut replied to Blue_Edge15's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I was just curious if Ford in Canada was going the same route as Ford in the US. $2500. I'd say just throw me a few sets of extra tires for when it is time for replacements- 480 replies

Great news. What did they tell you for the price point of the new vehicle? Did you have to pick one in stock? Could you order one? Could you pick one from a dealer that wasn't your original dealer?- 480 replies

Rubbing noise from front when turning left or right

So is this something that will pop up again once the lubricant wears off?- 17 replies

Or it is the plastic cover under the car that the rest of us fixed.

2015 Ford Edge Sport (w/moonroof) roof rack/trailer hitch
WingNut replied to gusd12345's topic in Exterior & Body
From a post I made about month or so back: You could probably use the Yakima Q-Towers to install a roof rack and then use one of Yakima bike mount options up there. Below are links to a few threads showing the Q-Towers installed on my '15 Edge Sport (without the vista roof or factory roof rails). I think based on the pictures and measurements I provide, you could see if the Q-Towers will work for you. http://www.fordedgef...ima#entry131712 http://www.fordedgef...ima#entry131563 -
You can demand a new engine, but you'll have to provide good evidence that the block is toast now. You can demand a new lease, but it won't happen unless the vehicle is a lemon. So keep a close eye on the vehicle. Any hiccups and take it to the shop ASAP. Keep record of when it is in the shop and for how long.

700 miles seems excessive for a "new" vehicle that has been dealer traded. It sounds like a demo vehicle. Personally, I'd expect a discount or something thrown in special especially if you already agreed on the price without knowing about the mileage. I'd also expect your warranty to not expire until 30,700. First they make a mistake about their inventory? Something doesn't sound right. Sounds to me like they had one coming to them, someone else wanted it too, and they agreed on a price they couldn't pass up. I don't like dealers like this.

Suggestions to get haze/swirls out of Sport wheels?
WingNut replied to wes8398's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
I like to use Collinite right before the winter. Holds up to those touchless wash harsh chemicals pretty well. I'll still do a garage wash in the winter and re-apply if I can.
