  1. I'm with you on this. I like to just browse channel to channel and not through presets. I listen to a lot of different genres. If you hold down the "Seek" button (or whatever it is considered) for a few seconds, it will go to the next channel instead of the next preset.
  2. But just to note. My car fell in to the time frame where the A-Pillars were not being sealed correctly. But I never had leaking even through some heavy rains.
  3. But I'll be honest. If I were buying a Ford in 2015, I would be buying the Premium Extended warranty for the length of any loan I have on the vehicle. I did it with the Mustang and broke even on the cost of the warranty (Though I was complaining about little things in the end just to get some new parts). For me it is about the peace of mind. Or I'd take the money that the extended warranty would cost you and bank it for possible repairs in the future.
  4. Certain forums bring out the real A-holes. The Mustang forums have been that way in the past so I kindly nodded out only going back to find solutions to issues. It has since been cleaned up. It usually comes with the age of the average driver. The Edge isn't exactly an enthuisiast vehicle so not many young people are going to be buying and modding them. So forum traffic will be down. My experience with the Edge forum so far leads me to believe we have a lot of owners that owned other cars in the past that brought them to forums. And when they moved on to a SUV, the thought "Wonder if there is a forum for the Edge". A more mature crowd. It is hard to argue with Toyota's quality though. If I had the money, I would probably be driving a Lexus right now. Their quality and service is really hard to beat. But I am VERY happy with my Edge and glad I went with the 2015 over the 2014. I feel they are in different classes.
  5. If the vehicle is built before the 28th, I'd be weary about buying it giving the potential or leaks or the possibility it has leaked and has been "fixed". Beyond that, all you can do is read the forum, come up with a list of issues some have seen, and see if you notice the same thing during test drives.
  6. If I remote start the Edge, the Heated seats will come on. If I go out there after 5 minutes, I can tell the heated seats are on. It is very noticeable.
  7. To preface, I own a 2011 Mustang GT (that was purchased new in 2010) and lease a 2015 Edge Sport. If you go on the Mustang Forum in the section that is for the 2011-2014 Mustangs, you too will find negative stuff and think the car is junk. But it is not. Besides the manual transmission not being as smooth as we'd like it to be, I have been very satisfied with the quality of my Mustang. All issues were taken care of before the warranty was up. Forums will always bring out those who are trying to find a solution to a problem or leave negative reports about their experience. It is just how it goes. Happy customers with no issues that are not enthusiasts won't be found on forums or review sites. It is just the way it goes. If you browse this forum, you will see a lot of people who bring up problems, don't return or participate after the problem is resolved. So of course browsing through here may give you the wrong impression about the Edge. So far I have been happy with the Edge. I avoided the leak issue. My only issue I have had is the rattle in the exhaust which is getting fixed now. Doesn't seem to be a wide spread problem. Of all the American companies, I believe Ford has the best quality and why I stuck with them for this lease. If the Edge holds up, I would not hesitate to get another a few years down the road.
  8. Post a picture. Is the steering wheel "leather" peeling? Or is the paint coming off one of the buttons?
  9. They are ECCO. I have flat feet so finding the right shoe that are comfortable (without adding a different insole) was a challenge in the past. These are like wearing slippers and go well with business casual.
  10. And here is what coverage for the dead pedal on the WeatherTech Digital Floor Liners look like in the '15 Edge
  11. Minus tax they still come to $176. I paid $188 shipped for regular pricing at JC Whitney.
  12. Worst case scenario....the next time you have it washed, hit it with some spray wax as long as it isn't under freezing temp.
  13. Threw a coat of sealant (Opti-seal) on the Edge yesterday. Will probably throw another layer on in a few weeks followed by a good wax (i.e. Collonite) before the snow starts to fall. That usually holds up against the touchless washes when it is too cold out to wash by hand.
  14. Well they come in a set of Front, rear, or Front/Rear. I have the front/rear set and they fit very well. I have a daughter so when she gets in the back, any sand/snow/water gets captured. And last weekend I was dog sitting. So instead of trying to vacuum the dog hair out of the carpet, it was simple to just suck it up from the weather tech mat. Made the job simple.
  15. I had the Ford All Season mats at first before the weather techs. The Ford All Season are pretty much worthless when it comes to snow / salt. They are a nice upgrade from the standard mats but if you are serious about keeping crap off your floor, weather tech is worth the money. Just pull them out, dump out the dirt and water. Your floors will remain looking brand new. I use weather tech digital liners all year round in my Mustang and now my edge.
  16. Can you provide a picture of the Husky Weather Beaters so we can compare with the weather techs posted? Thanks.
  17. Yea his post is hard to understand. Is he getting a replacement with a $2500 allowance but they haven't processed it yet? Are they paying him back for his payments and then offering a $2500 incentive to purchase another?
  18. 1. I think the sensitivity of these sensors can be adjusted. Take a look in the manual 2. Is it the same stop sign? Or every intersection / stop sign. I have the same thing happen but only at a certain stop sign in my neighborhood. Something must be throwing it off.
  19. I have the Sport and while I like the black of the grill, I don't like the black, shiny plastic they used for it. I think I'd prefer a more matte black. I may plastic dip half to see how it looks
  20. That looks to come without any center fogs. Like these were meant for the Chinese market that already have the center fogs. So we'd need these parts and the Ford fogs (which may require a bracket....not sure) Someone in the appearance/mod section bought these but I've yet to see any updates on how his progress is coming.
  21. I am under the impression that when a car comes off lease, it doesn't go back to the dealer. It goes to the leasing company which, sometimes, is a 3rd party bank/institution. They then auction the car off which some dealer (could be Ford dealer, could be a CarMax type place, or could be your mom/pop shop) buys it. Then they sell it for whatever they feel the market will pay. Unless some dealers have first bids on off-lease vehicles. I know my leased '15 Sport's MSRP was around $45k and the end of lease buyout is around $26k.
  22. Yes it is pretty odd. But I feel there will be a conversion option(s) out soon since China's version of the edge has fog lights. We just need the parts.
