I'm not sure what button you are referring to. In android auto the button lay out is: navigation, phone, home, music, return to sync. You actually have to hit return to sync, and then confirm that you want to return to sync. It's not a big deal, but it could be a smoother transition. If you are referring to carplay, I'd have to pay more attention when my lady drives.

I'm sure we all wish it was that easy. Unfortunately it is indeed a different mode/ part for the heated steering wheel. You can add the heated steering wheel if you want. There is a thread on the forum that I can't find at the moment with steps.

My comment was not meant as a complaint, it was more of an observation that newer Fords have an upgraded Sync 3 firmware. I know one doesn't have anything to do with the other. One would think that if they are going to release a new car they would update the all of the software that comes with it. I agree with you. Today Waze crapped out on me and Google maps decided not to work. I used the built in navigation to get me where I needed to go. But on the flip side of the coin, I have to wonder how many units they would sell with navigation if they advertised that the maps have not been updated since 2015 or whatever. The average consumer would not think to ask if the maps are current or not.

Thats a great question. The 2019's have a different Sync 3 version and very subtle cosmetic changes. None that I have seen affect the performance and or usability of Sync 3. Ford has yet to update Sync 3 for our cars to the current version.

Why would changing the PTU fluid void the warranty? I wouldn't believe that at all. The tech is just telling you what Ford Corporate tells the service manager to tell the techs to tell the customers. The fluid is not life long. The fluid should be drained and filled at least once a year, or every third oil change depending on how you drive etc.

The stealer ahem excuse me the dealer almost talked me into a test drive. Apart from the beautiful black headliner, I did not notice anything significantly different than the interior of a edge sport. The paddles looked unremarkable and did not look any bigger nor better than a edge sport. There are a few ST owners here that transitioned from the Sport to the ST. Hopefully one of them can shed some light on your question.

Sometimes I'll leave it in auto and other times I'll make changes on the fly etc, It is a lil annoying to have to exit out of Android Auto/ Apple Car play just to access Sync 3 etc. Even more so when the passenger wants to make changes.

You should call the dealership and see if your Edge is eligible. Another possible issue if your Edge is AWD, you should have the fluid drained and filled ASAP. Ford says the fluid is a lifetime fluid. Others myself included will tell you not so much. Your issues are relatively easy to resolve. They can be resolved via DIY depending on your level of skill and comfort etc. Good luck and enjoy your new ride!

Just like in the 2011-2018 Edge. Apart from auto stop. The only trim line that may not have that display would probably be the SE.

They are embarrased just as much as you are frustrated! They will escalate it and a Ford engineer will sort you out!

You will need a hubcentric ring adapter. You will face issues if you decide not to use one. They're not expensive. Some of the wheel/ tire experts will sort you out.

Unfortunately those wheels will no longer fit your edge. The first gen has a larger hub size. He had the hub bored out to 70.5MM. Your hub is 63.4MM

IIRC they removed the AGS system on the fusion sport installs.

I'm glad they decided to get the ball up and rolling with this. I sent them an email a while back inquiring about doing one for the sport. Unfortunately they never got back to me.

I used this filter. First time using it. So far so good. I wish I had thought to compare the number of pleats like 1004Ron did. In the short time that I have had it, I can say that the reviews live up to the hype. By no means am I discounting nor diminishing your feelings. Out of all of the issues that Ford could/ should be sued over the lack of map updates is not one of them.

IIRC that is a Escape color. Would look sharp on an edge.
