  1. Certainly don't blame ya. You might want to reconsider your view of returning to the dealership that did the work. God forbid the glass breaks. Insurance may cover the first repair. But if the warped metal causes a structural deficit and has a negative impact on the glass it may break again. Insurance may not cover it a second time. Just something to consider.
  2. Looking forward to seeing the changes!
  3. Check out the gallery. SNMJim and Roots57 have black wheels! Bronze looks hot! I think black wheels would look sharp and make that bronze pop! https://www.fordedgeforum.com/gallery/category/1-member-photo-albums/
  4. I know that the Ford dealer's response may be frustrating but I can see their POV. They would be responsible for the repair. They do not want to take onus of the situation and thus consequently be responsible for any and all future issues with it. They also may feel that Ford will not compensate them for the repair. Notice how they will gladly take your money tho... On the flip side they may have lost a customer. Even if you only brought her in for warranty work you may decide to go to a different dealership.
  5. I agree with Candurin. IIRC a new hub is not required for Android Auto. It is infinitely easier to format a disc on a windows machine. To format the drive all you have to do is insert the USB drive into any available USB port and right click on it. Then select format. Then Select FAT 32 and you are good to go. To extract the files, just right click on the .zip files and select extract to and then pick where you want them to go. Or you can right click on the .zip files and select open then windows explorer, that will open the .zip file and you can drag and drop the contents to your newly formatted USB drive. The extracted files should be the only thing on the USB Drive. HTH
  6. If you have an iPhone. You can use Apple Carplay on your Sync 3. You would need to update your Sync 3 firmware. (if you haven't already done so.) You also need to change your USB media hub. You can use Apple Carplay to mirror Waze from your iPhone to your sync 3 display. The below video is for a F150, but the same info applies to your edge. Here is a video illustrating using Waze on Carplay via iPhone on Sync 3 If you have an Android phone plug it into your USB hub to engage Android Auto. Once your phone is connected just follow the prompts to engage. See the link below. Apple Carplay Sync 3 Instructions
  7. Unfortunately the wheels from a 2015+ wheels will not fit. The 2015+ wheels have a 5x108 bolt pattern.
  8. If the rumors are true that the ST performance brake package utilizes the same caliper and rotors as the previous Sport. Then the spare tire should fit. (emphasis on should) The spare tire part number is KT4Z-1015-A. Here is a link to where you can purchase the spare. https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/oem-parts/ford-wheel-spare-kt4z1015a/?c=Zz1mcm9udC1zdXNwZW5zaW9uJnM9d2hlZWxzJmk9TVMxNTMzNjUmcj00JmE9Zm9yZCZvPWVkZ2UmeT0yMDE5JnQ9c3QmZT0yLTdsLXY2LWdhcw%3D%3D I would suggest calling and double checking before ordering. HTH
  9. Welcome to the forum. You have my favorite color combo!
  10. The things one can do with FORScan will never cease to amaze me! Thats a good find! I'm sure some will find it useful!
  11. Don't know how you feel about Auto Anything but if you use this code EM10WBN010XB you can get 10% off, free shipping and not tax! Total comes out to $177.62 compared to $199.89 (Including $15 rebate that you have to wait for!) https://www.autoanything.com/brakes/power-stop-z23-evolution-brake-kits
  12. Sorry about that I was multi tasking and misread your initial post.
  13. Some people prefer overlays (stickers) and some prefer painted. I purchased my painted set from eBay. Can't recommend any of these vendors but Etsy and eBay seem to be a good place to start looking..... Needless to say you would have to select your model etc...... https://www.etsy.com/search?q=ford%20emblem&ref=auto2&as_prefix=ford%20em Then there is eBay https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=ford+edge+emblems&_sacat=0
  14. I see what you did there! Looking sharp!
  15. Xtra is right. I installed it on my 2013. I did not install it on my 2017 Sport. The torque spec I previously quoted was for the wiper arms on the 2015-2018 edge.
  16. When I installed my strut tower bar on my 2013, I had to remove the windshield wipers and the cowl grille. You definitely want to torque the arms to spec: Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm) Over tightening can crack your windshield.
  17. The noise cancelling feature is part of the DSP/ amplifier if I'm not mistaken. You may be able to turn it of with forescan, emphasis on may. Or you could use something like this to bypass the factory DSP: https://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/dsr1/ or this https://www.kenwood.com/usa/car/excelon/xr600-6dsp/
  18. I was stuck on "Ford does not officially acknowledge the drain plug in Gen 2 PTUs" After I read your post in its entirety it made sense. Thanks for the clarification.
  19. I get what you said, but can you please explain the context?
  20. I purchased mine through Nate at Fairway Ford as well. I called Ford Pass/ Smartlink directly. She was able to tell me what dealerships near me had it in stock. Unfortunately none of my local dealers had it in stock. She broadened her search and directed me to Nate. Nate actually had the best price available for it. You can call Ford Pass/ Smartlink directly at: Ford Pass/ Smartlink 844 589 0059 option 1 11AM- 8PM I found one online vendor that currently has it in stock if anyone is interested. https://parts.autonationfordwhitebearlake.com/oem-parts/ford-module-smart-data-link-vhl3z14f642a
  21. Just got out of my truck. I have never used that button before. I asked my lady if she used it. She just looked at me blankly with this incredulous look on her face. She seemed ecstatic that she knew something about my truck that I didn't. Thanks for the clarification. I stand corrected. Any day that you can learn something new, is a good day indeed.
