The works package cost $40-50 bucks depending on dealership and whether or not you want to pay extra for full synthetic. They often have coupons that will take $5-$10 bucks off.
They have the works over here as well. How much work they're actually doing is up to the individual dealership. I tend to stay out of the dealership unless its for warranty work. Last time I went in for something routine they decided to show me both my in cabin air filter and engine air filter.
He said my filters are dirty and they need to be changed. It was some asinine price like $80-$100 for the engine air filter and $60-$80 for the in cabin filter. He said that since I was getting the oil change and some warranty work done they would do both for $100 or so.
I told him that I would pay for the cost of the filter and not the labor. He asked why...
A ) I didn't ask him to check them!
B ) Unbeknownst to them I use a charcoal in cabin filter. Im sure to the naked eye it may look dirty but It was recently changed so I'm pretty sure that it was good.
C ) More importantly the old filters are removed. The same labor that is used to put the old ones back they can put the new ones in!
Service writer looked at me like I grew horns on my head. This has happened to me a few dealerships. I tend to do my own oil changes or I take her to a shop that I trust.
Tis is true very true indeed. You must get all kinds of love over on the west coast. I haven't been to a dealer yet that will touch anything they are not asked to look at. Unless you have a check engine light on while getting an oil change they IME they will not check for any OBD errors!
I've had a dealer tell me that they could not diagnosis a issue, because the issue resolved itself while they were diagnosing it. They said they are not paid to diagnosis issues that are not prevalent.
How does having a tune pertain to getting an oil change done? All they do at the stealership is take down your info and enter it into the system. They do not hook anything up to your car that would require them to see if your'e running a stock or tuned calibration file.
@TXFRDOwner has access to European and asian parts. He is currently looking into securing the lens/ mask that will fit the digital dash for the edges. Drop him a line if you are interested. The more people that are interested will make shipping cheaper.
He has plenty of references on 2gfusions.net and various F-150 forums.
When I was shopping for my edge I noticed that the window stickers were different as well. Some of the packages have different names. But IIRC if the option wasn't listed that meant the vehicle did not have it. Unlike the ST the Canadian Sports share all of the same features/ options.
Good Luck with your search. I recently have seen some 16's go for the mid 20's depending on options/ mileage!
One thing that comes to mind is that the wiper arms have to be torqued to spec. I could imagine that over tightening may create a reaction that you are experiencing.
I'm truly sorry to hear that. I might have been inclined to put her in neutral and let her find her way to the deep part.
Seriously though, I agree with others and feel that it needs to be thoroughly dried, sanitized, and decontaminated.
Completely understand. Shipping interior pieces would be a beast indeed. It probably would be cheaper to go to an interior shop and have them reupholster whatever items you wanted wrapped in leather.
Have you considered powder coating your wheels? If you went with black the blue caliper covers would look hot! Or you could simply have your calipers powder coated.....
I spoke with JMR in the past regarding his mod. From what I understand sourcing the euro lens would be the hard part as the stock edge lens is not compatible with the Explorer Platinum Instrument cluster. If you can get the lens he can source the instrument cluster and do the programing.
I like the idea of doing the digital dash, headlight conversion and folding mirrors. I think those are among the top things of interest on the European edge. Emphasis on idea LOL.
Thanks for sharing the pics! I agree with you the leather trim is definitely a step up from the offering we have here. I'm not surprised at all because Ford does not have a Lincoln Division in Europe. The closest thing they had to a Lincoln division was the Vingale. I'm sure it is with a closer eye on detail. Would love to have access to the digital dash and leather accouterments! I know someone will say if I wanted all of that I should have brought a Lincoln.
Now if you could persuade your friend to ship some goodies across the pond.....
I agree with you. The LED signature lights elevate the edge to another level. Some would say if you want the LED signature lights you should buy a Lincoln. That's neither here nor there. They should be an optional.
I definitely agree that a source button would be helpful but with all of the available sources you would still need to do navigate to your preferred source. You can use the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel to interact with the right side IPC and navigate your sources. Or you can hit the sound button and that will pull you out of android auto/ car play and you can interact with your sources that way.
You can set the cruise control to your preferred speed. You just have to start it and stop it manually. I am not aware of any car that engages cruise control as soon as you start your car.
Climate control is set to resume the last setting. If you have dual climate on it will be on when you star your car. The only way that changes is if the passenger decides to make a change to their temp etc. If you do not go back into climate control to set it back to dual then it will resume the individual settings until you switch it back to dual.

Your car! Your car note! Do you! When you see peeps shaking their heads and mumbling wtf....its because they don't have one!
I like the blue with the red or blue with the black, it's very subtle. I agree with VMAX the red will make them POP!
