  1. Sometimes it does, sometimes it does not. I cannot figure out the randomness of it changing back to Stereo.
  2. Or use the $2700 to buy this set off Ebay. This place is well known and supplies many dealers and body shops in the Metro Detroit area. http://www.ebay.com/itm/21-FORD-EDGE-LINCOLN-MKX-WHEELS-RIMS-TIRES-FACTORY-ORIGINAL-OEM-2015-2016-10048-/201435359300?hash=item2ee67ba844:g:OCUAAOSwuTxWAhKe&vxp=mtr
  3. I haven't taken it in for the issue yet but glad to see I'm not the only one with the issue. My '13 Flex also had the same issue.
  4. I do the same thing but there is still salt that gets on the carpet along the front edge of the mat from it dripping off your shoes while driving.
  5. Hub centric rings are not required! Hubcentric wheels don't support load through the hub, all it does is help to better center the wheel to reduce the chance of vibrations. But tightening the lugs by hand in a star pattern is just as good.
  6. I think you're mistaking the 50 mile rule to having it towed for a warranty related issue. Forcing you to have it serviced at your selling dealer would be against the law.
  7. Glove box - Owners manual, regs/insurance, band-aids Bin below radio - iPod plugged into one USB, phone charger plugged into other one Console open space - Nothing Bin on top of dash - sunglasses in case Center console - Spare change holder, pen, lotion, wipes, tire gauge, hand sanitizer etc Space around spare tire - Ford tire inflation pump with goo, tire plug kit, work gloves, beach towels, old sheet, Antigravity battery for jump starting (amazing little device for powering any item and jump starting a dead car battery)
  8. So one each from a 2011, 2013 and 2015 are considered "all those folks"? Ford has built over 1 million Edges total it doesn't seem to be an issue. That sounds like glass that was defective from manufacturing which could have been installed into any brand's vehicle.
  9. I noticed that my mirrors do not defrost when using remote start either. I'm sure it's just not enabled in the factory programming so I'm not too worried about it. When I get in the car I'll just turn on the rear defrost to clear them up, they clear pretty quickly so I'll deal with it.
  10. Another trick is do a google search of the full vin. It will usually lead you to the ordering dealer's website.
  11. They both use a throttle body, that's what regulates the air flow. Direct injection squirts the fuel directly into the combustion chamber, while regular fuel injection squirts the fuel behind the intake valve.
  12. With so many unrelated faults and how random things happen it sounds like a bad ground somewhere. The dealer should follow the troubleshooting process according to the workshop manual.
  13. There is a general service bulletin that went out to dealers explaining how to identify the different causes of parts failures due to performance modifications. One listed is an aftermarket exhaust that can cause the turbo impeller to over speed and self destruct. So yes, an exhaust system can easily be proven to have caused damage.
  14. Everything is there, huh? Did he take apart the center console and check to see if the module and wiring is there that detects the proximity keys? Plus you would need the push-button start and not an actual key start. If you wanted all the features of the Titanium, you should have gotten a Titanium.
  15. Correct. If you look underneath the seats from the back you should see an oval shaped snorkel pointing forward. It's has kind of a white plastic mesh on the outer part of the snorkel. If the snorkel is not visible, then the cool air cannot be sucked in for the rear fan.
  16. In Canada do they split the payments up into 2 week increments?
  17. On cold mornings lately (20-30F) my roof glass creaks like crazy for the first few miles. I keep waiting for it to either crack or shatter. I love the way the glass opens up the interior but the creaking and headliner rattles make it seem like this is the first vehicle Ford has ever put a sunroof in. I swear there had to have been zero cold weather testing on this design.
  18. A slipping wheel is not providing acceleration, thus using the brakes to get that slip under control allows the wheel to put the power down.
  19. Mine came with the 20's which I drove about 5K on before getting a set of 21's off ebay for cheap. The ride difference is barely noticable and I'll take it as the black wheels make it look so much better. Plus the Pirelli tires on the 21's are better in the snow than the 20" Hankooks in my opinion.
  20. That's the lamest excuse for not allowing tint on the front windows. Are more cops getting shot from drivers in Florida or Arizona where dark tint is legal?
  21. The Edge doesn't have torque vectoring which sends power side to side, only front to rear. If it detects slip from one wheel it will apply the brake at the wheel to minimize slip. True torque vectoring will debut on future Ford and Lincoln vehicles.
  22. It only works on the newer style sensors like the '15 Edge, '15 F150, '16 Explorer etc. If the vehicle has the individual pressure readout in the cluster then it has the new style sensors.
  23. Where'd you get the factory 18's? I'm looking for a set to put winter tires on too.
  24. The new '15 and up TPMS sensors are self learning to the vehicle. They will learn within about 5 miles or so. You can watch the tire pressure readout adjust as you drive.
