  1. There's a detailed write up on the 2G Fusion forum that details how to modify DRL and the different options as well as other mods using Forscan and OBDII http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=4573
  2. Here are the pics: here's the section that was changed: IPC 720-05-01 xxXx xxxx xxxx Change xxXx to xxBx (all other values remain unchanged)
  3. Couldn't agree more. Low intensity DRLs with no tailights are not much of a safety feature. just today on the way to work came across a car on the road with jut DRLs on (no headlamps/tailights). I would be more in favor of mandatory auto headlamps and fog lights (both front and rear fog lights)
  4. I'd rather have them off all the time. Why? I can think of a few reasons: 1- Signature LED lights are already on all the time. No real need for the DRL on top of it. 2- If i ever decide to do an HID retrofit (not an HID PnP kit) 3- DRL is mainly North American thing. Most of the world don't even have DRL or consider it as a safety requirement. Spent years leaving in Europe and drove in all kinds of weather. No DRLs; mainly good Fog lights (including rear fog lights) in fog, heavy rain and snowy conditions and overall good lights on the car.
  5. "The Motor Vehicle Safety Act dictates all vehicles sold or imported into Canada after Dec. 1, 1989, must have automatic daytime running lights (DRLs). However, Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act doesn’t require the use of DRLs. Full lights must be on in darkness or poor visibility under S. 62 HTA." Currenlty only Nova Scotia Province have DRL or Low beam (for older cars) as mandatory. Thus, i would like to have the options to turn them on or off as I wish.
  6. 2016 MY- not standard on Canadian Edge as DRL is mandatory
  7. After a few days of research and thanks to an excellent write up from the G2 fusion forum, I was able to add Daytime Lights option to the left instrument cluster. I used OBDLink MX and Forscan (Windows 10) Link to G2 Fusion Info: http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=4573 Here are the pics: Before and after: At the same time added Climate to the right instrument cluster
  8. Swapping tires from 18" to 19" should not have any impact on the Nav. Ford winter package for the titanium and sport is the 18" rims from the SE. When swapping is he using an impact wrench? Could it be a loose connection on the battery or the APIM being affected by the impact wrench vibrations?
  9. 29" summers? I bet it will through off more then just the nav.
  10. could be loose wiring/connectors, loose or defective fuse, loose battery connectors, or weak battery
  11. Auto stop/start is only available on SE FWD trim.
  12. Dropped the Edge on Saturday for service and a few items to be addressed. The highly sensitive brakes issue is one of them. TSB information was provided and is showing on OASIS report according to the technician. Today, I got a call from the dealership to let me know they could not replicate the issue and as such they can not change the brake booster. This is the second time i report the issue to them and same response. I made it clear to them that it is a safety issue that need to be addressed and to go sort it out with Ford as I will not be taking the car back until it is safe to drive. Currently have a rental they are paying for. Any thoughts on other course of actions?
  13. Just keep in mind that the SEL seats are not perforated seats and will not work if you have the front cooled seat option (301A 03 302A)
  14. Most probably you already covered the steps but: - Have you changed the batteries on the FOBs? - Have you (or the dealership) tried reprogramming the FOBs?
  15. You should have received 2 key fobs with the car. Are both acting up or is it just the one?
  16. If you switch your right display in the instrument cluster to Navigation, it will display your compass with speed limit in the bottom left corner. That should allow you to easily read your actual speed and speed limit in one place.
  17. have you considered just removing the TPMS from the 2013 -17" and install them on the 2016 - 18"?
  18. 17 will not work on the 15+, It will not clear the brake calipers, 18" is the minimum rim size, Even the OEM winter package is 18" (SE Rims) No Steel rims available in 18" 5x108.
  19. Heated mirrors are standard on the Titanium. they are controlled by your rear defroster button.
  20. Have you considered a used oem power liftgate system from a salvage yard?
  21. It should be in the Display menu. Once you see your rpm gauge on the left screen hit the arrow up or down and scroll through until you get to it
  22. The rear window tint is factory. I only tinted the front driver/passenger at 20%
  23. I have the OEM installed on My 2016 SEL and they look good IMHO. Attached couple of pictures (don't have close up for the front ones). Install is very easy (1 hour to install all 4 - No need to take off tires or raise car)
