  1. Based on this thread, I ordered a set on October 7th and they just arrived today (17 days). Not bad transit time from China and they seem to be of pretty good quality. Can't wait for the my wife to get home to see where all of these might go since I can't imagine where at the moment.... Here's what came in BLUE
  2. All those grill pieces (3) come in black plastic which I installed without painting. There's a great video on Bumper removal along with pics when I swapped them out here: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/21101-ebay-black-ford-edge-grill-installation/
  3. MACT just released a great video on how to do it just a few days ago: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18170-double-edged/page-27? Post #530
  4. thanks Omar. I didn't think that was the right part because it looked like it was the identical part on both sides on my Edge. I guess I'd have to figure out if the passenger side is right or left since they specify different parts for both. But, at $100, I may try some super glue too. Mine has a nasty crinkle in it from be folded up in there by the previous owner, but it's working trying to salvage it first Thanks again
  5. this video may explain it as well
  6. Does it do it with both keys? assume you've already changed the battery to eliminate that possibility?
  7. I have the same issue. Once it pops off once, it just won't stay on. I've already tried to identify from the parts list and ended up ordering the wrong part. Do you have the part number for the accordion part?
  8. a thin bladed screw driver inserted in the slot with a light twist while pushing out worked for me. Having a pair of hands on the other side pulling helps too
  9. I posted my pics here: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/21101-ebay-black-ford-edge-grill-installation/
  10. the ebay link posted says it's for a 2012, so it must fit 11-14
  11. I have a 2011 Limited and it does that also. I think it's normal. I have a BMW that also does the downshift at the same point on the same hill
  12. I finally changed the grill on my black 2011 Limited. I've never liked that big chrome smile from the OEM, so I wanted a black alternative like the Sport. I ordered the parts from Ford ($108 delivered). They come on black plastic so I chose to install them as is without painting as others on this forum have done. Thanks for this video by enigma-2 on this forum which made bumper removal a snap: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/20745-2011-2014-lower-chrome-grille-replacement/?do=findComment&comment=154262 The only changes to the enigma-2 video I came across were with the bolts under the bumper. Video showed 9 10mm. I only had 4 (2 10mm bolts on each end) and 3 plastic pop-pins in the middle. Quick work. To pull the bumper, having an extra pair of hands made this a quick job. In my state you must have a from front license plate, and it took a bit longer to cut off the 2 plate holder rivets from the back, center it on the black replacement, drill the holes, and secure. But easy enough. So here's the before and after pics. If I ever decide to have them painted and clear coated, I know it's an easy task to disassemble. But I'm fine with this result. I'll monitor how it stands up

  14. I still haven't changed my mirror after 1 failed attempt in a salvage yard produced a mismarked (wrong year) mirror. I'm really hoping to save money by finding the cheapest housing I can find. Why pay all that money for the entire mirror assembly when my electronics are fine Does anyone know if the housing is the same regardless of the year (2011-2014), the model (Limited, SE, SEL, Sport), or the Options (BLIS, Heated, memory etc) I'm asking because I use car-part.com to search for parts in salvage yards (great site) and they all list these different mirror options (but are the housings the same?)
  15. FWIW - I bought my 2011 Limited 8 months ago and it came with the Sync A4 SD card. I purchased the then current A6 update on eBay for $42 and it worked great. Looks like the current going rate for newer A7 is around $65 on eBay, $105 on Amazon.
  16. Mine protects the sill and has a 1-2" lip that rolls over the curve in the bumper and protects that edge very well (see the pictures) That's what takes the brunt of the impact on my Edge and the sill plate has the scratches to prove it
  17. they weren't these tail lights from daytimebrightlites? http://www.daytimebrightlites.com/
  18. FWIW - I just looked on my invoice where the dealer replaced the PTU under CPO warranty on 6/13/16 on my 2011 Limited. Part number is AT4Z 7251 G
  19. I have this on my black 2011 Limited. It looks great and it's got some scratches to show it's doing it's job. Highly recommended here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WGUJ3AA/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  20. After the wow factor of LED puddle lamps, I've moved inside. I bought T10 LED's for the front map lights, but when I pulled it down to install them, they were already LED's! Wondered why they were so much brighter than the rear So in the rear interior/map light, those festoon type had not been changed. I installed these in all 3 spots (2 map, 1 courtesy) and WOW! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZJF7GTY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 One note from earlier threads though. They were flickering a bit, so I had to take them out, squeeze the contacts in the housing, and snap the LED's back in. Perfect now
  21. Taken from my earlier post: could be lots of things, but my 2011 Limited started acting odd on just the drivers side. I would have to put the temperature all the way to high and then bring it back down for it to react. Took it to the dealer 2 weeks ago. Their diagnosis on my invoice says " HVAC Control Module reprogrammed with latest calibration per TSB 11-8-7" Seems to have fixed mine. Not sure if will apply to 2012 TSB 11-8-7_Unable to maintain Temp old.pdf
  22. The license plate LED's are just as easy to install. No tools or video needed here, just press the tab and it pulls right out. And significantly brighter like the puddle lamps. Here's the right side with the LED, left with the bulb
  23. Gotta say, I was going to take before and after pictures, but they'd look just like all the other posts. The lighting difference is so dramatic, I was laughing after I changed one side and turned the puddle lights on. Wow. Brighter than the lights in my garage...... Entire job was 5 min tops, most of which was using a flat blade screw driver under the connector on the old lamps to "convince" them to pop off without breaking them. I didn't bother to disconnect the battery, just made sure to unplug one side at a time and immediately connect it to the new LED lamp, then do the other to eliminate any chance that you could short them together. The new LED connectors have an insulator/shield around them, so no risk once you've plugged one in Dan includes the license plate lites too, I'll tackle that quick job tomorrow but expect the same smile effect at the difference Interior lamps next? Already have HID, but those tail lamps are cool too............. Smiling already
