  1. Ford's "Owner Manual" SUCKS! Lack of data or info that can't be found etc. Then again it;s for people who change out the PTU or RDU, and trans @50ish K due to lack of maintenance.
  2. I washed the "Black Momba" and last night about sun down. It was 100, with no shade, I had to outrun the 'Skeeters but it's clean again!
  3. You will love them as we have 2 in the driveway. All the new features, took us some time to work w/ our 22 ST.
  4. Please realize that the bigger the number difference in lubricants, the more friction modifiers it contains. Ever wonder where sludge comes from? The standard replay, is from exhaust blow-by or combustion by-products but, comes from the break-down of those modifiers..
  5. @akirby is right! Butane has an octane rating of 91 but it evaporates quickly when warm, hence winter or cold use only.
  6. Bad gasoline is sold that will kill fuel economy. It can also be the amount of ethanol in the gasoline too. Sometimes the amount of ethanol in the blend , depends on the price spread between gasoline and alcohol! EPA drive cycles are like people racing dynamometers!
  7. Yes @Starcr182! It is hard to find the post but, a guy just went through the hoops and Ford did him a deal. Keep searching this site as the post isn't but about a week old. GL P.S. You have to jump through some hoops.
  8. I'm sorry if they fixed it since I deleted it. The location function never worked after the up-grade.
  9. Since they updated it, it sucks and I have deleted the broken software. Or, they have taken a play from Mircotheft, and it is a new feature that is now called the FordPas GNDN app!
  10. Those "Splash Shields" serve another purpose too. You already know about all of the wind tunnel test that are run on the shiny side but, did you ever concider they do the bottoms also! If it weren't for the exhaust piping the bottoms would be smooth with air deflectors and a rear air diffuser.
  11. Do bleed the Master 1st.!!!! I do hope it works for you too! GL Gary
  12. I don't care what ya call me. Just call me late to dinner!!🤣
  13. I laughed too when I read this but.... Of the all things that we do to attempt to keep fellow members OUT of dealerships! @CerberusWTG.
  14. Hit a bridge and sell it to the insurance co. (This is only a joke. I would never give illegal info).
  15. What kind of high side and low side pressures are you seeing at 1500-2500 RPM and your outside temp. BTW don't let the high side get above 275 PSI without spraying the condenser with water if the fans don't pull enough heat from the condenser. If the high side sky-rockets and the low goes negative then yes you have a blockage. Then it's compressor, receiver/dryer and orifice valve. (have puller handy, just in case). Look for metal or desiccant in the orifice valve. Flush the system if metal found too.
  16. I've used this site for used parts before. https://car-part.com/
  17. You can use Forescan or several PID control software to control or test the fan speed and controller.
  18. If the battery is low on charge, then load shedding takes placeandr electrical accessories are switched off. My advice is to turn off the ASS feature as it will shorten the life of the turbos. OOHH a Ford joke! If one does not switch off one's ASS his blower breaks! 🤣
  19. Call the local recycling yard have them look for take-offs (wheels and tires).
  20. You do know about adjusting the rear disc brakes with the emergency brake?
  21. Time to get the volt meter out, as P0715 is an intermittent voltage loss and P0717 is FULL voltage loss. https://www.700r4transmissionhq.com/p0717-ford-edge/
  22. @1Mtmind, Lets go back to the beginning. 1.Pedal went the floor. Replaced Booster and Master. Thing are OK. 2 Failure again with pedal going to the floor. Replaced Booster . Still the same. So master is bad or air in the lines or no fluid. The hissing sound is because the pedal is too far bleeding the vacuum inside As a side note from Ford a long time ago when one could see the fluid in the master cyl. was to have assistant pump the brake up 10 times and hold down. 2nd. person opens top of the master to observe the fluid level. Release the brake pedal. If there is air trapped the fluid will gush like a geyser from the master, indicating witch 1/2 of the system has air trapped.
