  1. Where in AZ did you live? I moved from Prescott to Dallas '98.
  2. I wondered how long it would take to realize Chinese spyware is in our Cars... https://fordauthority.com/2024/09/lincoln-nautilus-would-be-banned-under-proposed-rule/
  3. I have the ST logo lights and we love them!
  4. What weight fluid goes into the PTU and RDU a 22 ST?
  5. Thank you @BMWR1200c for the problem and it's solution! It will help others in the future..🙂
  6. It sounds like multiple problems chasing you around. I would check the alternator ground. I've seen where the coatings on an alternator, will mess with the electrical system. Also, check the engine ground to body too. Simple jumper wires will suffice. If you have a multi-meter put it inline with the jumper wire in DC range and see if a voltage is present. (voltage indicated a bad ground) Do that for both the alternator and engine grounds. Also check the Battery cables clean if necessary. Next see if the power side of the fan and lights are on the same circuit (same fuse). If not then check for a common ground on the fan/lights. (If common ground, then it is back to the engine /alternator). GL 73
  7. Is that the fuel tank, as I've not been under one like that? That isn't a purge valve for the fuel evaparotive emission system?
  8. I am not going to get into a keyboard war. I would suggest one read up on the Shrader Valve. For the longest time all of the service port covers were made of metal. Some like GM, had a rubber seal on the High Side port cap. Fords and Chrysler products had brass.. I am sure that the seat material is probably Teflon based rather than Nitrile as in the past, thus requiring fewer replacements. I used to replace them on all my A/C services to reduce the probility of a come-backs due to less than a dollars worth of parts. I guess that A/C service has changed since Ford Certified me in Heating and Air Conditioning...
  9. Hate to say it but, Shraders wear out. The primary seal is the cap! YIKES $621 for two bucks of Shraders and A/C service? Check your 1st. bill for a refrigerant charge. If so, then when it was recharged during the first service (alternator), one might argue the point.
  10. It appears they are holding the speed more closely than before. That would make sense for blending with autonomous driven cars, like "BlueCruise.
  11. Even turning off Adaptive, it still uses the rear brakes. I had already turned it off.
  12. The K&N type air filters were designed for competition automobiles on dirt tracks.
  13. Adaptive and I've just about turned off most of the bells and whistles. I like making some of the spastic red warning light , buzzer and steering wheel shake, when making some quick moves. We might be old, but we bought this to drive, not squish about town in a "Jelly mobile".
  14. In reading the discussion on Steering Wheel upgrades, it got me thinking. One of the things I hate the most is the Cruise Control on the 22 ST and the stupid way it works. Every time it goes down a hill the rear brake come on when in normal times it should coast. Now I am wondering if the paddle shift might stop that crap. I usually goose the gas just a bit to stop the brake application. It is no wonder these thing eat rear pads.
  15. I know the swamp cooler on the roof would freeze one out! AZ. is tenderfoot haven for Blistex use.
  16. I used to live in Prescott. I shue miss Arizona!
  17. Me too... wink wink.. Some of those gummies are pretty good, at least for TEXAS.
  18. What was the warranty period for these batteries? Who makes your brand of battery?
  19. Back in '68, I wanted some of those RWLs too. I had a set of Dayton "Wide Ovals" on my 63 Galixie 500. But, they were black letters only. So, I sat down one day with my bottle of Testor's Model Paint and paint brush. I then made my own Raised White Lettered tires. (RWL in the tire biz).. Now maybe he'll go for Gangster Wides. But, this thread is only 10 years old..... My how things have changed.
  20. On our 22 ST with 22 inch wheels, the wife ran it into a curb destroying the new tires and I knew the wheels were junk! I took them down to a wheel place and a week later I picked them up mounted and balanced (I supplied the tires) good as new for a couple hundred bucks. They looked and work like new. The work done by some of these places is astounding!
