The only people that seem to have transmission problems, are one's w/ no maintenance.

When I have all of the rig a ma roll on, The ST is just like some of my friends that want to drive it. They get on some twisties and I scream at them like I do the ST. GET OFF THE FKN BRAKES!

Aren't Ford ESPs based on the new car's original date of purchase and 0 mileage?

Sticking caliper pistons, especially the plastic ones if still used, may (will) swell over time and usage. On metal pistons, a rust belt will form on the surface of the piston outside it's seal. The dust boot is just that as it only keeps dust our! Squeezing those pistons back in, takes a chance of a sticking piston and can be a crap shoot. While bleeding brakes, DO NOT PUSH TO THE FLOOR! Master cylinders wears too. One only pushes so far and a ring of gunk and a ridge will build up. Bleeding the brakes or just resetting the pads after their replacement, one must be careful not to push too far down, lest a master cylinder failure may happen from a torn seal.

Brake problem 2010 Edge has me scratching my head.

As a shot in the dark, have you tried to cycle the ABS valves? Or, try going down a gravel road and do some lock-ups to exercise the ABS valves. I could be wrong but, I've seen lots of recomendations along that line. Also addressed here already too. Let us know... -

What a jump we did too! We went from a 2008 Limited to a 22 ST. WOW is all I can say with the 401A "Big Screen TV". -
I read some posts and, I do not see why not. One thing I like sometimes, is when I put it in "stupid mode". Set it at a little over legal limit set the distance and then pull over in a slower lane. The car will automatically brake, but sometimes for no reason at all. You then become the NASCAR "accordion starter" unless one mashes the gas! GL

Lane Centering, yea right except when there is a tar stripe down the road. I love fighting the automatic slow down sometimes when changing lanes, at least I am a left foot braker. (For some reason one can't heel and toe the way they have the pedals set) Lane Centering costed us a lot in our 1st. week. The lane centering wobbled the wheel, the wife jerked the car into the curb. No curb rash but, the rims were bent and we lost 2 new tires. $1K lost in the 1st. week!

Good Luck on your new "Baby"! May it never let you down too.

They all vibrate as they are V6 engines or really 2, 3 cylinder engines on a common crankshaft. The days of an even or odd fire V6 and engine vibrations! When the idle gets too low is when one will notice it the most.(my '08 does it too and buzzes like a swarm of bees) The firing pulses between the firing events, are so short in crankshaft degrees that at a low speed vibrations are more noticeable. This will help one understand the problems w/ V6 engines.

Sound like a loose alternator belt. You stated it squeals at idle and at high loads. Time to put a volt meter on your beast. Old Ford test was after checking belts. 1. Take resting battery voltage it should be about 12.8V 2. Turn on all accessories and run at 2500 RPM. Voltage should be 1/2 Volt higher. 3. With all accessories on battery voltage should not fall more than 1/2 volt at idle. Replace alternator if out of specs. I realize thing have changed but check your alternator belt 1st.

Long Story and Dealer Shaming
garycrist replied to Cerberus's topic in Dealership & Vendor Experiences
Back in the day, we used to call them "Oil Company Warranties" as that was who sponsored a lot of those worthless warranties. The client depended on them and they companies were slow or never pay. At the end of the day we would lose the client not to our fault. I would recommend a Ford ESP Premium always. Not as much hassle for the client. -
2017 EDGE TITANIUM STEERING BIND

It sounds like either a ball joint sticking or the top plat strut bearing.. Also see if this replacement video helps you trace your problem. -

Hey thank you @canucklehead for posting your fix for others too. It took me over a year to find that stupid speaker! It was thanks to @Haz for publishing the hint on where to find that speaker! And as you found out, it was an easy fix. If I was still working in a dealership, that would be a money maker to "Flat Rate". If one is not familiar with the term "Flat Rate", it is where one looks up the labor rate in hours to perform a certain job. As @Haz posted these steps to R&R the part, the rate was set for that job. Where Technicians can make money is by what I posted. Is it fair? It all depended with me, when I had a chance, on client attitude! In Cali, I used to have a 2-3 week waiting line for repairs! Sometimes a box of donuts would save a person LOTS OF DOLLARS!
