  1. At what age did that manifest itself? Curious 67 year old here.
  2. How about under the driver seat next to the second row air diffuser? Personally I'm not comfortable keeping anything lithium ion made in China in the car long term. If it decides to self ignite it will burn your car to the ground. If it's in the garage that can burn to the ground as well. I just did the test fit to give you another option.
  3. Just for confirmation, is it a 2019 Edge ST? 2018 was the last year for the Sport. Also is it unmarried from the original vehicle? To those interested in buying this, there is a high probability that it will not be plug and play for the next vehicle. ECU strategies vary from year to year and vehicle to vehicle.
  4. I store the car in the garage for the winter months. I get the deep sleep notification after 2 weeks of non use. Even with a fully charged battery on a maintenance charger. Ford should have based it on battery charge level rather than duration of inactivity.

It's all in the details. Well done.
  6. I've been using AAWireless off and on for the past year. The only problem with it is the high demand on the battery. That coupled with the inefficient execution of the wireless charging pad results in extreme heating of the battery. Like you I prefer to keep my phone pugged in and stored in the console cubby. My temporary solution was to place a 20mm thick piece of foam on the charging pad to isolate it form the phone. Not the most elegant solution but it's working for me.
  7. Although it might hasten the dreaded and well documented head gasket failure issue.
  8. Welcome to the forum nitehawk. Fully agree that Ford has built some stinkers over the years. The Oakville Ontario built Edge and Nautilus are pretty solid though.
  9. It has to be installed on the rear O2 sensor for it to work.
  10. What file format are you using? I have 220 GB of FLAC files loaded on a 256 GB Samsung drive formatted FAT 32 and no issues playing on SYNC 3 Any recent updates installed? Any updates available? Can it play audio files from your phone when plugged in to the USB port?
  11. PUP 5W-30 is a great choice for your motor. I've used it in the Nautilus starting with the first oil change. I use PP Euro 5W-40 in my 5.0 and will probably switch the Nautilus over to that when it comes off warranty.
  12. I really enjoyed following this thread. You're a true craftsman.
  13. They need those #1 in sales to offset their warranty payouts. If they don't get the quality issues addressed soon they won't be #1 in sales for much longer.
  14. Actually it sucks for Ford because a lot of us will move on to other brands with better offerings and better quality control.
  15. 20 degrees C (68F) and cloudy at the moment. I really feel for everyone that has to live/work in areas that are affected by this severe heatwave.
  16. It could also be the piston(s) hanging up in the caliper. If they had any crud/rust on them, that would have transferred into the bore when the pistons were retracted to make clearance for the new thicker pads and rotors.
  17. While I'm in no rush to replace my Nautilus I can see myself buying something along the lines of the upcoming Ioniq 5 N as a potential replacement for both the Lincoln and the Mustang. Seems like it could handle the utility and performance aspects of those two vehicles and leave some extra room in the garage. I don't do extended trips so EV is not an issue.
  18. I replaced my 4 stage UPR oil separator with a J&L (formerly JLT) oil separator. The UPR was a good design but poorly executed with badly machined O-Ring grooves, thus it was constantly leaking between the reservoir and body. I proactively replaced the UPR separator on my other car as well. The newly named company is still owned by the original owners of JLT. Top notch quality and after sales service.
  19. I only have SYNC 1 to compare it to and IMHO SYNC 3 is light years ahead of it. Can you offer up some specifics as to why you feel it's worth less than a pack of gum?
  20. Out of curiosity have you been maintaining them with a proper leather cleaner and conditioner? If not you'd be surprised what a good product can do to rejuvenate the leather surfaces. I have been using Leatherique for many years. The stuff is amazing. Avoid the discount auto parts products. They do more harm than good to the leather.
