  1. We have it all up here. Extreme heat, extreme cold, plenty of natural resources, beautiful scenery, functioning democracy.....
  2. Possibly. I think that in my case it's mainly due to low useage, a climate controlled garage and a Battery Tender for each vehicle. My Malibu is outside year round and went 10 years on the OEM battery, my Harley went 9 years. I have a Solar BA9 to test them.
  3. It's always best to confirm something is bad before replacing it. If I followed your advice I would have replaced my Mustang battery 3 times and contemplating a 4th by now. It' on the original and testing at 85%.
  4. I tighten the housing to Ford's recommended torque specification just like I do for wheel lug nuts and all other critical components.
  5. My 2012 Focus Titanium would do something similar. I'd be standing in close proximity of the vehicle and the sub-woofer and all door speakers would go to full volume and give off a massive thump sound. This happened randomly with no rhyme or reason. The Sony audio system was one of the worst systems ever. Thankfully ford moved on from it. This was one of many issues the dealer could not replicate. My only recourse was to trade it in.............on equally problematic Acura RDX. ?
  6. Brings back memories of the late 70's for me. My brother and I owned RD 350's as well as 400's. We could wheelie them for blocks. My brother also road raced them at the local level. Great machines! Had the opportunity to see Miguel Duhamel race one at our track before he made it big in AMA Superbike. He smoked the local competition that weekend.
  7. Aesthetics - 10/10 Functionality - Well......looks good though.
  8. Also there is a restriction orifice in the dipstick well that will slow the oil entering into the well. The extractor will lose it's prime almost immediately.
  9. Agreed. I have my entire CD collection ripped and on a 512 GB flash drive with a lot of room to spare. My CD player has never seen a disc. I'll have to try it some time to make sure it works.
  10. I have a factory ordered 2019 Nautilus Reserve. It has the 2.7 V6 AWD, Adaptive suspension and Revel Audio 13 speaker audio system and a few other option groups. The Revel system sounds superb but obviously the 19 speaker version would be better still. I test drove one with the 2.0 4 cylinder and found it underwhelming. The Nautilus is an excellent vehicle. I intend to keep mine for a very long time.
  11. I stand corrected. My apologies for creating confusion.
  12. Refer to step 6 in the documentation you provided. 6. NOTICE: Use care when pushing the caliper piston into the caliper piston bores or damage to components may occur. Compress the brake caliper piston until the piston bottoms out in the brake caliper bore. • NOTICE: Do not apply over 20 Nm (177 in-lb) force when rotating the brake caliper piston or internal damage to the brake caliper may occur
  13. That wont work for the rear caliper. You need the tool that rotates the piston as it compresses it. Disc Brake Caliper Compression Wind Back Tool
  14. I enjoy participating on forums and I also enjoy having a few beers now and then. I never mix the two however. I think it's better to have people wondering if I'm a jerk rather than confirming it.
  15. Easy to find out; drain some of the diff fluid. I suspect you'll find metal mayhem.
  16. First he was vanquished, then he simply vanished.
  17. Second from the bottom on the main page. Classifieds
  18. Is "JC Performance Development " a secret club? A web search turns up zilch.
  19. Those tires are rated for temperatures above 7 degrees celcius (45 F). They are down right dangerous at temperature below freezing.
  20. It cant hurt at this point in time. Give it a go and let us know if it helps. WD40 is low enough in viscocity so wont be a problem in colder climates. -30C here tonight
