SNYC locked up whole screen FROZEN
rwolson replied to bmuir40's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Do a search for "fuse 29" I believe the fuse panels located near your left driver's foot. Also, check the manual for fuse location in the fuse block. Hope this resolves your problem -
Great color! I drive a Kona Blue Limited

Check out this blog entry for Ford Flex - http://rackattackdenver.wordpress.com/2009/05/09/2009-ford-flex-custom-thule-rack/ Now weather's thinking of warming up I need to install my rack kit on a 2011 Edge with BAMR so I can transport my kayak(s). I sure wish Ford saw the light and installed a real rail system like the Volvo XC60 or Audi Q5 for people like you and me.

My Ford Touch Screen Protectors?
rwolson replied to LALarry's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Here's the link to the company selling the screen protector most of us purchased - http://www.nushield.com/products_main_klear.php You can clean the screen protector. Also, I don't see any problems seeing the screen -
My dad just told me he waits until the white salty crud drys out. He uses a stiff bristled brush to brush the salt and vacuums up the residue. He stated you may need to brush the carpet a few times. Next, use a shampoo to clean the carpet. He stressed, follow the can's directions. So, need to wait for Spring and the snow to leave.

I've never seen a Kona Blue Sport, but I know where to find a Kona Blue LTD covered with snow. :banghead Great color!

Just installed my Husky Floor LIners. They cover a lot of carpet! The driver's side covers the area for the foot rest PLUS curls around to cover the carpet in front of the foot rest. Nice deep to contain melting snow. Also, the mats go back to the seat rails. The passenger side covers the carpet way up front for people who stretch out. I dropped my Ford all weather mats on top of the Huskys because I prefer the extra cushioning. The Ford mats fit very well in the Huskys and don't side around, but I plan on adding some velcro to hold the Ford mats in palce. Also, tons of space uner the accelerator pedal so no problems with carpet bunching up. I needed some mats and got tired of waiting for WeahterTech. BTW, based on the photos I see online, the WeatherTechs leave the hold down post open and the Huskys cover the area so no water drips to your carpet. Once our weather warms up I need to shampoo the carpets

I seem to remember when the car's in reverse a pop-up alert states parking aid's enabled. I believe the pop-up contains a yes or no selections. I'll check in the morning.

You'll earn over time not to place your hands on the flasher switch. Also, you'll become more adept at using voice commands and rarely touch the screen.

Add to your list of TV shows, I Love Lucy, Andy Griffiths, Bonanza, etc. Good TV back in the day. No canned laughter on Lucy's show; people laughed for real. I still watch some of her Youtube epsiodes and just laugh. I'd take Lucy over Seinfeld any day.

How do you set the radio presets - tune to your station and select on of the preset buttons on the right side of the radio. Hold the button and if I remember correctly, you briefly lose audio and then the system's back. Your preset's now set to the new station. The manual seems to indicate a different sequence, but maybe the way I interpreted the documentation.

My parents purchased a set of Colliers encyclopedias which cost them a bundle in the day. We yearly received an updated book which I read cover to cover. The yearly books provided our glimpses of lands and people outside our area. Today, the web provides instant updates, but I still missing curling up with a big book of the world.

I generally replace my car every 4 - 5 years. Auto makers like people like me.

I ordered a loaded vehicle in late October because no one had a lot of inventory. I too saw some places included 20 inch tires and I said no way, I don't want to pay for the extra rubber when replacing the tires. So, like I said I ordered mine. Good advice about searching outside your area and working with the dealer. Also, may try to talk them into swapping 20 inch for 18 inch wheels and tires. Good luck on your intenhed purchase and watch the stress level. Your wife may talk into buying her a new toy or bling!

Picked mine up Dec 17. I've seen 2 MFT reboots. I do see a couple of minor issues in MFT, but nothing to torment me. The car's great in the snow and you'll like the ride.

Adhesive Removal / Clay Bar??
rwolson replied to Hopper's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
BTW, forgot to add a photo of the snow banks behind me car. The photo, a bit out of focus shows snow banks around 12 feet tall on February 02. We recieved more snow in subsequnet storms. I can throw light snow over the banks, but heavy snow, I'm done. I picked up my car on Dec 17. I've never gotten the chance to hand wash it. Hopefully, soon I can spend some time washing the car. -

Thanks for the advice Canuck. I hope to remove the adhesive IF and when our roads dry up and the snow leaves. -
Problems syncing droid x with 2011 Edge
rwolson replied to pfree's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
When pairing both my replaced BB Storm 2 and my Droid X I ran into problems entering the 6 digit security code. The phone timed out me. I tried several times getting very frustrated. I resolved my pairing issue by changing the security code on the Edge to a four digit code. -
Grinding sound and feel from anti lock brakes
rwolson replied to NewEdgeForMe's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
I only hear the noise after the car sits for hours during the day. Once I'm moving, car heats up, etc I don't hear the noise anymore. Yes, a bit disconcerting the first time you hear the noise. -
I'm averaging 18 - 19 in a mix of driving. However, lots of snow so the AWD kicks in a lot bringing the mileage down a bit. Also, it's winter so I expect to see lower mileage.

Wilson, send the 250 degree up here to melt some snow :happy feet:
