blankster
I would suspect it will be unveiled at one of the upcoming auto shows this spring. Expect the nose to resemble the ford fusion in some manner.
BeDevil79
Any photos or concept drawings out there? Ā Only thing i've seen is this home made mockup, not great - I think the body shape will change more because of the Fusion chassis swap Ā From here http://www.carspysho...ead.php?t=20807 Edited November 30, 2012 by BeDevil79
PrinzII
I like the front but the X6 treatment would not work for me.
Cdpratt69
I'm sure it will look quite different from that when it is finally released, however if it is close to that I won't be in any hurry to buy a new one. I'm not crazy about the Escape-like look.

Cdpratt69
Looks a bit more like the new Escape as far as I can tell. I'm not a huge fan when compared to mine but that's just my opinion.
tpm419419
Looks more like the Explorer in my opinion
BeDevil79
Ā Seems a bit 'safe' looking, not unique enough like the original or current model - look forward to seeing more though Edited February 14, 2013 by BeDevil79
Bob C.
I got my '13 Sport. So i'm happy for now! I'm sure there will be plenty of other choices by the time I'm ready to buy something...No panic here. Bob
Brock79
I don't really see Ford changing the Edge for 2014, the profit margin from the 2011-13 refresh just seems small. Most companies run at least 4 years on a refresh to get a better profit on the redesign. But who knows, and for the 2.0 EB compared to the 3.5EB, I have both motors one in my edge the other in my 2013 SHO. There is a vast difference in power obviously, but there is no raspiness in the 2.0 and it is actually a great engine. I think it is a little small for the Edge, but it wasn't designed to do what the 3.5 does. It does however do the job it was designed to do fairly well. Limited59
I'm betting we will see the concept or maybe the real deal at next year's auto show circuit, similar to how we are seeing the MKC this year. I think it will be a MY 2015 available maybe very late in '14. Look at how slow the new MKZs are rolling out. Ā If we were any closer we would be seeing camo-ed mules and/or concepts. Ā It would be great if they would swap the 3.7 for the 3.5 EB in the Sport for '14. I've been itching to get an EB SUV after experiencing the engine in my sister's Lariat, but the Flex and Explorer Sport are more vehicle than I need. spicaly
there was an article yesterday about the new mustang getting a 2.3 turbo (300hp) in the europe markets only.... i wonder if that might be a power plant for the 2014 edge as well? Ā Ā http://www.autoblog.com/2013/03/07/ford-mustang-to-get-four-cylinder-in-europe-but-not-us/ Edited March 8, 2013 by spicaly
Manish R. Patel
I was reading something about the future Mustang having 3 powerplants. The 3.7 remains as the entry level motor, then a 4cyl Ecoboost that harkens back to like the 86 SVO type cars with a slight increase in power over the 3.7, which should be cool as long as its torquey and then, of course, the Coyote which i believe will get a slight bump. I love my GT, its a monster, but the transmission (MT-82?) is not the best they can offer sadly. But I still love it.

edgy1
does anybody know when they are expected to release the 2014? The new 2014 Escapes are now out. The local dealer here has two in stock. So I am sure the Edge will be close behind. New Escapes are offering different options only. Rear view camera will be one of them and will be offered on other models than just the Titanium. Also dropped the SEL as it was too close to Titanium in options.

Limited59
The auto snow circuit is only a few months away. I'm confident we'll see the new Edge and MKXs then.
PrinzII
I did hear rumors of the Edge getting the 3.5 EB. If not, I'd like to have a conversation with Mr. Roush about doing that.
Limited59
I did read an article recently indicating the next gen Edge will debut in the upcoming auto show circuit. I believe LA is the first of the series. Ā I think it's pretty much a given that the next gen Edge will not offer a V6 at all. Fingers crossed on the MKX though. Probably a small sub-3.0L turbo. Larry
Hi All, Just got done looking at Ford.com build and price your 2014 Ford Edge. The 3.5 V6 is still the standard engine. Ford still offers the 2.0 ecoboost as a option plus the 3.7 V6 in the Sport model. Larry Northern,Indiana
tpm419419
Yes the 2014 is just a carry over (no real changes) The big change will happen with the 2015 model
