1004ron Report post Posted Saturday at 01:58 AM Looks good, but not sure that I like it enough to spend that kind of money they're likely asking.
omar302 Report post Posted Sunday at 05:21 AM It is very expensive, however I have doubts on their claims as the images/videos they show appear to be for the stock 10" display from the MKX/MKZ (already being retrofitted to Fusions/Edges) with a modified inner mask (under the lens) and firmware already available. See below video sample. Also, not sure they will be able to get that same cluster to work on older vehicles (2011-2014 Edge, 2011-2015 Explorer, pre 2013 Fusion) due to the different vehicle electrical architectures. Elfiero Report post Posted Sunday at 02:46 PM Maybe you guys need to look for a cheaper car line? or maybe public transportation? I just spent over 50k on a vehicle that doesn't even have power folding outside mirrors and I am ok with it.
Sage Report post Posted Sunday at 07:32 PM Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like when I look at their webpage it’s more of their looking into building this and they think they’re gonna have it okay by October or something like that. I don’t know kinda makes me wonder this is a exercise just to see if they can do it, they get money that I didn’t see anywhere they said it’ll be a refund if it doesn’t happen. I am just curious I guess as too how reliable the process is/will be.
ben senise Report post Posted yesterday at 02:25 AM it's a kickstarter project and the first 50 are $899. none had been taken when i looked just now. it's strange because it looks like an original ford part. they must just be reprogramming them somehow. are they making the frame or using factory ones as well? MLTEdge Report post Posted 11 hours ago I never recommend finding kick starts. Too easy for funds to disappear. Those that do make it like AA wireless end up cheaper after entering mainstream, and if good have plenty of competition soon after.
omar302 Report post Posted 6 hours ago I'll just link this post here for anyone with a 2015+ Edge interested in upgrading their cluster.
